It's indeed been awhile since I've had a romp on the ghost ship. :pirate: I went looking for plunder and pistols, and only later discovered they weren't a very good weapon for me.

I've never liked the ghost ship.  There's no reliable way to get to it, and when you are on it, you have a high chance of falling off.  This, combined with the hard NPCs to kill on the ship make it a very non desirable place to go.

I'm open to (sensible) suggestions on how to make the ghost ship better. Whether it's making the chance of falling off a lot lower or some easier way to find it/get to it..

Either and item or a skill that can lead you to the ghost ship would be good.

Why does it knock people off?  I never understood why it does it

From what I remember, the idea was that you're living beings and when the ghost ship dematerialises during long distance movement, you can't "go" with it so you get dumped into the water.

That be fine if it was easier to find, but it's so tough that it just makes it discouraging.

Unless I've misread the code, people haven't been dumped off it since 2012.

Minor change to avoid dumping players off

If anyone does find it and then get dropped into the water, please let me know!

Where is it, and I'll go park someone on it

A couple of days ago, it was at [-70.071,+26.410]. It's still not far from there.

Unrelated note.

When killed inside the ghost ship, and directly respawn at a roaming shaman, you will respawn in Durham.

If you go outside the ship, and respawn at a roaming shaman, you will respawn at the correct place.

That could be considered a bug.

I think it relates to the map as well.

When you are inside the ghost ship and look at the map, it says you are off the coast of the western most island, which I think some people call Unity island, but I'm not sure.  It basically says you are over there.

If you jump off the ship it will show your true location.

Yes, that's the reason the shaman thing is a bit weird when you're on the ship. I can't think of a quick way to resolve that without changing the co-ordinates of the entire set of map tiles that make up the ship as it moves unless... wanders off to check some things

I've previously seen a ship docked on the eastern shore, a war ship, but I went back to check where I thought I saw it last and it was gone. :ninja:

Guess I've already posted about this.
Shipyard on the coast SW of the Shipwreck. :pirate: May be old news to you guys but I haven't been back for that long recently. Quite fascinating. :grandpa:
Nobody else has seen this? :icon_eek:

I have a spot mapped on the W side of the N/W shoreline I usually see a warship parked. On the flipside I did just see the ghost ship on the E side of the S/W corner of the coast. Not far from Derby shores. Dang crewmember attacked me!

I wonder!

Has anyone managed to stay on the WarShip? :rotfl: Would be cool to catch a ride on it and tour it's route. :coffee:

You might be on the other pirate ship, west of the shipwreck. Ghost Ship is currently NE of Derby. I just fought the crew for the first time- man, that Captain was a huge pain.

:sherlock: W/o a doubt. It was docked there both times, probably been around as long as harpoons and tricorn hats and I'm just now getting into it. :pirate:
