This just happened.

You dig a hole with your shovel. You gain 1 XP.

Was something buried there and disappeared?  The character ID is 14768.

From what I can see, if you dig a hole and put something into it, and then dig deeper it looks like you get 1 XP. I don't know if that's guaranteed XP or what would happen to the item you put in the hole...

One occasionally gets 1 xp when digging. One definitely gets 1 xp when picking up something buried. This based on my diggings.
