Blue Hummingbird has returned to Raktam and is assembling the Imperial Raktam Army.

Mercenaries are welcome and will be paid from the Royal Treasury at 20 gold coins a kill.

The peaceful alternative to following a zombie queen is TEAM TATHERS!

Mercs are welcome to join but will receive no money for whatever kills they want to do!

Victory or pie!  Die in a swamp surrounded by gators, or sit in a pub.  I really don't care.

TEAM TATHERS!

No one likes pie, Grand Vizier. Everyone likes glory.

You need to be better in tune with your audience's requirements. Market research. Focus groups.

Perhaps extend the brand? Glory Pie?

Anyway, the Imperial Raktam Army is on the march, seeking to arm itself. (There might only be six of us so far but that's an army in Shartak terms nowadays.)

If the Queen wishes to obtain the service of assassins in aid of her conquests, she need only reach out her hand and grab hold of the Golden Serpent!

Her Majesty need only point, and the Serpent shall come forth from its secret waterfall lair!

The Imperial Raktam Army Heavy Sword Expedition is going well. The Captain of Mercenaries, Edward McGill, wields a heavy sword as a badge of office.

Captain McGill also managed to finish off serial pest cannibal, Consumer.

(2014-09-17 02:27) Edward McGill kills Consumer with a pistol.
(2014-09-17 02:28) Edward McGill fires two quick shots into the cannibal before shoving his body into the current.
(2014-09-17 02:30) Edward McGill says “Well I am goin' to be on my stump if ya need me." Edward then wades back to shore before turning back to the queen. "Good huntin' my queen.” with a slight accent.
(2014-09-17 03:29) You collect the head of Consumer and clean it up before adding the skull to what you're carrying.
(2014-09-17 03:43) You hear Consumer let out a banshee wail coming from all around you.

(2014-09-17 03:43) You hear Consumer let out a banshee wail coming from all around you.
(2014-09-17 03:43) You hear Consumer let out a banshee wail coming from all around you, and lose 4 HP from fear.

(2014-09-17 03:59) Serpens the Snakeromancer says “Take that villain!”
(2014-09-17 03:59) Serpens the Snakeromancer chants, focusing negative energies at the spirit.
(2014-09-17 03:59) You hear Consumer let out a banshee wail coming from all around you.
(2014-09-17 03:59) Serpens the Snakeromancer says “Now begone with you!”
(2014-09-17 03:59) Serpens the Snakeromancer performs a successful exorcism ritual and casts 1 spirit away from here.
(2014-09-17 05:05) You say “Good work. Captain McGill shot him. I got his skull. And you sent his ghost into the vines. Nice teamwork all round.”

You mean you no longer espouse that silly peaceful intentions nonsense, Raffles?!?

I will gladly saddle up my Lord Grand High Viziericide pony, with the swiftness of a caffeinated tiger, if you would be so kind as to leave a sugar-cube trail in your wake.

Of course, old chap. I'm going by the name of Bahl at the moment. Do look me up.

I have memory of Bahl from the GSUC days, and know that you are trying to pull the wool from D'jin Szzm'mns (the sheep of the jungle) over my eyes. Bahl is clearly lacking the very thing that makes your uniquely handsome visage irresistible to women/men/shargles alike- those many many many wonderful perfectly asymmetrical scars that I gifted to you. Kind of completes you, if I may be so bold.

It would be so very helpful to have an ensorcelled machete that one could use to point the way towards Raffles. Like the elders used their "dowsing rods", only better. The star gods have been quiet for silverback years, or I would pray for one. Phooey.

The Imperial Raktam Army has had much success on it's heavy sword expedition and now has secured a supply line for healing herbs.

People of any nationality wishing to join the Imperial Raktam Army and fish for heavy swords in a safe /alligator-free and well-armed environment are welcome.
