That must be why the outsider settlements kidnapped them so they could revive us once we died. Crazy that they can bring themselves back to life and we can't with all our science, huh?

Those are a different breed of shamen. I'm talking about the ordinary native shamen. If every shaman could revive their kind I'd throw down my rifle and praise Natty-Jesus on the spot.

All that matters is that our ancestors enslaved their kind and put them to work for us. We subdued the heathen. We just didn't go far enough. It's a damn shame too.

Skulu revived me so I'm closer to Wiksik than York. I've never been very lucky in Wiksik, so I'll trundle back to York and help mop up, get some bullets for my pistols, and have a discussion with Raffles and the YCC about the Pirate Embassy in York and what to do next.
