Huh, huh, bonjour mes amis, bonjour!

I am sure zat each and every one of you 'ave marked zee 14 July on your calendars to celebrate zee Bastille Day. To celebrate zee newly founded Port Breton and our glorious revolution we French would like to 'ave zee contest and drink zee rum on 14 July. We also 'ave zee chapel if you wish to pray to zee Virgin Mary, and we 'ave zee casino eef you wish to gamble.

Contest
Zee contest weel consist of zee speeches, revolutionary speeches. Anyone who comes to Port Breton on 14 July can make one revolutionary speech in honor of zee capture of zee Bastille but eet can relate to any revolution, not necessarily zee French. Zis revolutionary speech can be an 'istorical revolutionary speech (by revolutionaries such as Prachanda or George Washington), a totally new speech zat you 'ave made up yourself, a mock revolutionary speech (such as zat made by Dwight on zee TV show 'The Office'), a pseudo-revolutionary speech (such as about "revolutions," i.e., t'ings zat stretch zee meaning of revolution such as zee "internet revolution").

Please only make one speech and make zee entire speech in zee casino where zee festivities take place. Please to make zee speech "in one go" as I will copy and paste zee speeches in zis t'read 'ere and zee people shall vote on zee best speech. Zee weener weens zee 'Eavy Sword which I 'ave collected from zee swamp.

The King of Raktam sends his regrets, in that he will be unable to celebrate with his French allies. He will be away in the Green communing with the skygods.

However, even now he is drafting a speech that will be read at the celebration that he hopes will invigorate the spirits and minds of his allies.

Neil Tathers will be there to sing a song, much like he did in Derby.

Whose got backup vocals?

And as this year's Mr. Derby winner, he plans on setting up a kissing booth.  1 Gold Coin per kiss, all proceeds go to the great community of the French.

Hmm... I might be able to get there, but I'd have to take time out of the headhunt contest. I'll think about it.
Also, could I sing a song as an entry (instead of a speech)? I have a great idea for a song, it might need some working out, but i happen to find it rather amusing. On the other hand, I could make a sorta-revolutionary speech with some humor...

So I heard, that the French revolution was caused because of the fact that they couldn't grow enough food to keep them fed, as they didn't listen to a King that suggested growing and eating the the humble potato?

Is there something the French have against the Potato?  It's kinda hard to look at French Fries quite the same anymore...

Dang, I found a great motivational battle speech, but it's not so much about revolutions... just nationalistic stuff. Sorta.
I don't suppose I can still use it?  Embarrassed
