Tinxiweewee is very glad for the trail, it has been crucial for him getting into the top 20 native PK'ers and counting, so I applaud your work. At first I was worried that it would mean that Dalpok would get slapped by pirates, but I think it has actually balanced things out. Maybe the two things are not connected, but I remember that Dalpok used to be uber dangerous, grim and pessimistic, people cowering in huts like in Leviathan.
EDIT: I just noticed Dappled Shadow's comment...that is what I had initially thought as well, I am assuming that it has helped Dalpok out by a sort of "offense is the best defense" kind of thing. I don't want to give away too much, but frankly I tend to notice that pirates sleep just off the path if not on it, even the violent pirates who should know better. That extra AP that we Dalpoki save in patrolling that way means we have more to take down pirates, and taking down pirates is very AP intensive, so I think that is a big part of it.
I wonder if the pirate demographic is changing though? Maybe they are getting out more. You figure that a lot of people started out as pirates to go "yar" or however you say it, to cause mayhem, rapine and spoilage in ragtag groups. I wonder if some of the older more experienced pirates are branching out into more cosmopolitan activities and locations? And lets face it, the native PK'ers are the most prolific killers. Pirates as a group are surprisingly docile. I havn't looked at the numbers, but I would be willing to guess that the glam of being a pirate wears off fast given the penalties you face in pretty much every camp, at least at certain times anyway. I could be wrong, but I have a feeling that pirates are more likely than the other groups to get sick of the game around level 5 or 10 and quit, probably because of their bad rap.
