A giant war? If the Eastern Federation sides with the Durham Pistoleers, as they seem to indicate, then this may turn bigger than most people expect.
I don't recall us ever saying that.

Violence and distrust is surely stirring! And cold wars are no fun. If there was a giant battle from which no real cause could be confirmed, it would be great. No, not great, totally awesome. Alliances would crumble to dust and new empires would be forged from the chaos! *pause for dramatic effect* Plus, big money could be made off of war.

The flight was heavenly the sky my ocean As I soared beyond the clouds and golden voices called me home You asked "Do you believe in love?" and I shook my head So, your sins unto me as I fall down never to return from this land My wings are clipped, my voice stilled, Goodbye.

Thanks for the log, Daves The Pistoleers really should take a stance against these murderers. And Ron Burgundy should speak up here, officially, to deny his involvement and condemn what has occurred. If he doesn't, well, Lord Lordington will look like a very good candidate in the coming election.
Lord Lordington's a good candidate anyway, as he's someone who actually tries to protect his hometown. I thank you for your support. And I'm going to throw this little spanner in the works, as I have no love for that idiot Ron Burgundy. A week ago, I overheard this little bit of information in the Pistoleers HQ. The present members were The Malice and Dennis Kuijt. Ron Burgundy says “The situation in Creedy is of some concern I think the Queen might try to attack while we are distracted. What we might want to do is incourage people to kill the Queens men in Creedy.” (2008-01-03 16:13) Ron Burgundy says “This would be off the record support nothing official” (2008-01-03 16:14) Good luck in the election, Ron. Durham's imminent destruction is seemingly your own damned fault.

All I see here are ramblings of an individual. Before the group I'm part of gets implicated in any tricky plots, I'd really prefer to actually meet the leaders of the groups involved before decisions get made based on the actions of, what, at the most three former Pistoleers? All this is easily explained, you're all just conspiracy-happy.
What I'm saying is let's discuss this group to group instead of letting every trader on the island sway others' opinions with hearsay. Let the Queen herself make a statement regarding the Pistoleers, instead of having others talk for her. What's going on right now is pure mania.
Quick update: It appears that only 2 of the active Pistoleers are attacking Natives - Elizabeth Bathory and a certain Warlan. Warlan has signed up on our forums earlier today, and I've personally contacted him with an order to desist or get expelled from the Clan. Since I had a talk with Dennis mere seconds ago, he's also in the process of booting Bathory at this time and making the Pistoleers more secure in their membership. Any offending members should be reported to Dennis or myself on our forums or here, and they'll be researched and punished.
It's so much easier if you contact the group in question before judging them as a whole.

And thanks for that, you've got my deepest respect. It's nice to know disaster has been (hopefully) averted.

We have figured it out. this group, made up of 5 members, possibly more, is trying to cause a war between Creedy and Durham. \

I think many people are victims of propaganda or just mis-informed in what the actual events are. Here are the facts and I challenge anyone to dispute them:
- Creedy and Raktam form a Commonwealth and the Queen sends a garrison to Creedy to help with fighting crime. - The Durham government feels threatened by the presence of the garrison. - Grand Vizier Tathers negotiates with Ron Burgundy and they reach an agreement satisfying Durham's concerns. - Several members of the Durham Pistoleers start attacking and killing Creedians and Court members, repeatedly and without provocation. - The Pistoleers claim the attackers are a rogue group, but they cannot banish them, even though the Pistoleers' leader is active (if that makes any sense). - As of now, the attacks continue and 3 of the attackers are still members of the Pistoleers.
We are the victims of an attack. The Pistoleers allowing the attackers to remain in their ranks can only mean that they endorse their actions. But even a simple banishment will not be enough. We have suffered great damages from this and demand that the Pistoleers immediately banish the rogue members, pledge to hunt them down, offer an official apology and give sufficient compensation for our troubles. We cannot suffer the cost of repeatedly visiting the roaming shaman for much longer, without taking steps to protect ourselves.
To the people of Durham and their government I say: we want peace with you. We have no bad intentions, as evidenced by the extreme restraint we have shown. Don't be afraid of us, we will not attack you and we mean no harm. If anything, you should be afraid of the clan that was supposed to keep you safe.

but a majority of the people that inhabit this island (Talking about natives as well) are stupid, and attack for the fun of it.
You are welcome!

Latest from Durham:
Dappled Shadow killed Ron Burgundy, in front of two Pistollers including the Malice. Shadow spared the Malice.
Denis Kuijt killed Dappled Shadow, in Pistollers HQ.
Jakob Patora, vowing vengeance, killed Denis Kuijt.
It would be interesting if Lord Lordington would take the initiative and broker a peace. He's the only man in Durham whose word is his bond.

Glad I brokered peace and seeing you all fall for this stupid trick of a few to get two factions to fight against each other.

Ive been telling my EF colleagues about my suspicions of the quality of Durham water. A worthy article for the next DEP issue. Hmmmm... it actually reminds me of the water quality in Adelaide. Terrible stuff that makes the locals talk with English accents and grow mullets.
