Hi

Get exorcism; it will allow you to exorcise spirits and get XP for doing so.
Seance will only let you identify spirits.

You can read more about skills on the Shartak Skills Wiki page.

A suggestion: if you still have a low level, you might want to get a skill that gives you more XP first, like natural medicine, which will help you gain levels faster by allowing you to heal more

Well, the best skill really depends on the type of character you want.

If you want to be a peaceful healer shaman, you should get natural medicine as 0000FF Beard already said, because it helps you to collect XP faster.

If you want to be in the frontlines battling people, you should get close quarter combat and then build up the skilltree.

Different skills fit different character types.

the sky my ocean
As I soared beyond the clouds
and golden voices called me home
You asked "Do you believe in love?"
and I shook my head
So, your sins unto me as I fall down
never to return from this land
My wings are clipped, my voice stilled,
Goodbye.

Helloes Vortex, welcome to the forums

http://www.shartak.com/profile.cgi?id=12867 - 'tis yours?

Choice of skills may depend on your role-playing stance, so if you want to dedicate yourself to ghostly business, get the banshee wail and wail them living peoples to the ground, don't bother acquiring other useless skills.

If you want just level up fast, it's close quarter and body building along with natural medicine skills. Your choice, really

Be advised, though.  Wailing gets repetitive.

the nice thing about wailing is that you don't have to do it long. it would be a good way for you to max your combat tree. a week of wailing in a good place is worth 2 weeks of hunting animals, and is a bit more reliable.
