Yeah went to a good local fireworks dsplay last night. Where I live they also have a huge flaming torch procession through the streets. Which is a laugh.
Then walked home with a couple of friends through a huge park and sat down to watch various other displays we could see from there. A good night of the year. And tommorrow we're gonna have our own display in a friends back garden.

Oh I remember celebrating that! It's true we used to have bonfires on the Queens B-day, but local police cracked down on it pretty hard. No one does it anymore and yes... we're not allowed to have fireworks here in Victoria

When some catholics tried to kill some people. Nothing new there.
I like the night. As long as the fireworks stop at about half 10, it's all good. If they go on past then, I wont be able to sleep. Early night tonight, big day tomorrow.

We've got rain forecast for tonight (on the other side of the world where it's already the 5th).

Listen, the American's are crazy with the fireworks. They blow up mailboxes, animals, their own fingers sometimes. It's some pretty brutal stuff.
