That's pretty left

Are most of us left wing? Does this say something about the mindset of gamers? Would it say the same for right wing? Time will only tell, its seems  cool

I've noticed that most people on message boards tend to be liberal.

The left part doesn't surprise me in the least, but I am a little surprised that I am so libertarian, I figured that I was more statist. But times are changing, guess I may have to use new language to describe myself

Or it could be a bad quiz.  Which is what I said. Wink

Yeah, I mean, to the extent that all quizzes are inherently bad quizzes, since there is no such thing as objectivity, this is a bad quizz. In terms of context, however, this quiz clearly hits all 'pop' areas and therefore is as good a barometer as any on the internet for judging according to the imaginary categories of ideology (and the internet must be considered important since this discussion is taking place on it). I just hadn't guessed that my imaginaries were that far off. But it does make sense, now that I think about it, since I havn't taken stock of how I define (and hence determine) my existence for quite sometime. For instance, I am in a new country now, I have a wife now, my cat died recently. These are all life changing events that will probably force one to adjust one's ideological imaginings.

So working generically from the beginning, then, in my youth libertarians were difficult to differentiate from Ayn Rand style 'objectivists' or others who merely aped nineteenth century Whiggism and pretended that they had something sophisticated and relevant to say. But in the past 25 years or so you've had people like Roland Barthes using terms like 'radical individualist' or Gareth Stedman Jones writing post-structuralist history, so maybe we need to start considering that there has been a major shift in ideological discourse, and that perhaps libertarians are not the backward reactionaries that they were in the 1960s, 70s and 80s? Now that I think about it, I was totally not paying attention to libertarianism in the 1990s, so maybe I should start poking around in the 1990s then? I think that makes the most sense.

Anarchocommunism, that is a good word I havn't thought about in a long time which might also suit me better than left-libertarian or something like that.

My political compass is broken. I dropped it while camping, somebody buy me a new one.  Undecided

The flight was heavenly
the sky my ocean
As I soared beyond the clouds
and golden voices called me home
You asked "Do you believe in love?"
and I shook my head
So, your sins unto me as I fall down
never to return from this land
My wings are clipped, my voice stilled,
Goodbye.
