I didn't know that your map isn't updated as a spirit. That will make it trickier. Although navigating without a GPS round the coast isn't too hard. Using the Ubermap it's quite simple to match up the coast line.

And this one a little further W - http://www.shartak.com/profile.cgi?id=6077 - I had to use XP to buy Possession to make him speak so I could get his profile. 3 APs to make someone speak!!

Is there perhaps a roaming shaman on Unity Island right now?

We are pretty sure the critter is somewhere south east of unity island. For the native, I met them a couple of times before, seemed peaceful enough.

Question: Does Wailing cause damage to NPCs/animals?

No wailing does no damage. I did some searching to the NW of my precious position and am now in the deep water somewhere.
