Since your last move:
Carmelita gives you 1 gold coin. (2007-08-02 12:07)

Abysmal kills Carmelita. (2007-08-02 14:13)

Abysmal says “Forgive me, my queen, but I wish to remove those that are unworthy.” (2007-08-02 14:17)

A rat gives you 2 gold coins. (2007-08-02 17:01)

A rat says “Squeak!” (2007-08-02 17:01)

Ezekiel Jones says “Salutations m'lady" he bows slightly "it has been my intention for some time now to come and officially offer my respect as a man of Wiksick, Eldest of Villages, and Cradle of Civilization.” (2007-08-02 18:54)

Ezekiel Jones says “In my career as a trader, i have traveled far and seen much, from the deep caves of the holy mountain, to the 'settlements' of the invaders, and even the inner holds of the great sunken canoe.” (2007-08-02 18:55)

Ezekiel Jones says “Why, these very eyes have even seen the great giving spirit who comes with the rain.” (2007-08-02 18:55)

Ezekiel Jones says “An astounding vision he was; his robes were the color of blood, and though enigmatically wearing the flesh of an invader, his eyes were as kind as immortal Tapran.” (2007-08-02 18:55)

Ezekiel Jones says “When i approached his throne to pay him homage, and make my offering he laughed. A great booming, jovial sound it was, it's warmth bringing my face up to meet his.” (2007-08-02 18:56)

Ezekiel Jones says “From behind that great mass fir on his face, pale as the top of the mountain when the rains come, i saw him smile with compassion for all living beings.” (2007-08-02 18:56)

Ezekiel Jones says “He reached into a great sack beside his throne retrieved something which he pressed into my hands. It was only when his eyebrows quirked that i was able to break that gaze and look at his gift.” (2007-08-02 18:57)

Ezekiel Jones says “He had given me a fat bag, containing fifty thick coins of gold. I looked back to his knowing face, but he had already engaged the attention of another pilgrim.” (2007-08-02 18:57)

Ezekiel Jones says “One of his minuscule servants took me by the hand and led me to the side of the hut where i was assured that i would not be an obstruction, and it was there that i sat and i pondered his gift.” (2007-08-02 18:57)

Ezekiel Jones says “For several days i remained in the presence of the spirit, contemplating and observing as he interacted with equal generosity to natives and invaders alike, making no distinctions of village or clan.” (2007-08-02 18:58)

Ezekiel Jones says “To others i saw him give darts, or medicine. Needful things. Why then did i get gold? I was making decent money as a trader at the time, and there was little i could not obtain myself to spend it on.” (2007-08-02 18:58)

Ezekiel Jones says “I was not alone in this, others had gathered around me to be in the presence of the giving spirit, some of whom, to my surprise, were invaders! More still, none raised a hand against any other.” (2007-08-02 18:58)

Ezekiel Jones says “It was only considering this that i reached my epiphany; the invaders, savages though they may be, are not sub-beasts or soulless monsters as most learned people still believe, but merely men.” (2007-08-02 18:59)

Ezekiel Jones says “It was upon realizing this that i realized the great spirit's true gift to our people. It lay not in the gold, but in the common ground he offered. ” (2007-08-02 18:59)

Ezekiel Jones says “It was upon realizing this that i came to a decision. There were few more than fifty other pilgrims there, and i would distribute my new coin among them, making up the difference from my own pocket.” (2007-08-02 18:59)

Ezekiel Jones says “Then i was struck down by an invader who had been continually violating the sanctity of that place since i arrived, even going so far as to attack the earthly body of the great spirit himself.” (2007-08-02 19:00)

Ezekiel Jones says “Recently, this savage came into the healing hut of raktam and did murder. And though i did track him and deliver his location to the warriors, i found myself thinking back to my time in that hut.” (2007-08-02 19:00)

Ezekiel Jones says “And so i offer to you this story m'lady, and a small amount of advise from a humble traveler.” (2007-08-02 19:00)

Ezekiel Jones says “Remember the lesson of the great giving spirit; the invaders are merely men, not entirely unlike any other..” (2007-08-02 19:01)

Ezekiel Jones says “And remember also the lesson of nick soapdish; for the time being, they are still savages.” (2007-08-02 19:01)

Ezekiel Jones says “Now if you will excuse me m'lady” he bows again slightly “i must take my leave. I have an appointment with tamdal tak in regards to some invader goods.” (2007-08-02 19:02)

Nyarlathotep says “A body" and bows as he examines the corpse "Hm...” (2007-08-03 00:22)

Nyarlathotep says “A rat?" and pulling a bottle of mango spirits from a pouch, proceeds to clean the rat of some of it's dirt (some can't be removed) finishing with a "there, that's better” (2007-08-03 02:41)

Nyarlathotep says “I live to serve," bowing low until his head touches the ground in a disturbing way, suggesting he can bend his body in ways that no human should be able to do so "my Queen.” (2007-08-03 02:48)

Nyarlathotep says “(whispers to Seimalau, here, let me patch you up before you bow in front of your queen)” (2007-08-03 04:56)

***

Nyarlathotep has been appointed Court Physician.

How long from Wiksik to Raktam?
Not far. Maybe a day's travel, give or take (assuming that you have trekking).

Nyarlathotep says “MY Queen (bow), I know not of these stories or rumour. IT is true (bow) I have travelled to the town the outsiders call Derby, but I am no scourge of the town.” (2007-08-03 08:53)

Nyarlathotep says “DERBY (bow) I visited for my own reasons. AN outsider (bow) that calls himself 'Cthulhu' attracted my attention, as the name is known to me, but he is not the Cthulhu I knew of.” (2007-08-03 08:54)

Nyarlathotep says “AS for this pirate (bow), I remember him. MY blade (bow) had met him before, in the jungle I believe, and it was a blessing of the Gods (bow) that I found a way to escape him that day.” (2007-08-03 08:56)

Nyarlathotep says “NO scourge of derby am I my lady. A researcher of man and woman, of machines and machetes am I. (bow)” (2007-08-03 09:05)

Blue Hummingbird gives 10 gold coins to Nyarlathotep.

Blue Hummingbird says, "It is rapidly becoming customary to amuse Us with a tale, some anecdote, fable, or joke. What story do you have, outsider?” in the outsider tongue.

I'd watch out for that Nyarlathotep if I were you. Have only heard bad news about that one before. Plus, check his background, and you'll find out what he actually is.

Trouble in paradise!

***

You are standing in an empty hut.

Carved on the wall is some writing. It reads “Avenge the attack upon the Queen. 100 gold to whoever brings the miscreant's head.”

Here you can see A rat, and Seimalau.

Since your last move:

Sign me up for that one. He was my first ever kill. It was his OTT behaviour and profile (which he has since changed to tone down the racism) that spurred me to play a headhunter.

Royalty.. I'll deal with this when I finish what I've started. Required me to bum rush the healing hut five times to collect 50 healing herbs, and saw this a day or so ago, or at least before freeing Santa Claus's spirit free from the dead body of Nick Soapdish.

Not my problem untill I'm back in Raktam.
