The Pirate Hunters leave Shartak! Pirate Hunter Zeff has swum back to England after a decrease in Pirate activity in Shartak and to discipline his nephew after showing signs of a slightly favorable attitude towards piracy (he once looked at a parrot). Despite the lack of Pirate Hunters on the island, the good people of Shartak will no doubt continue to base their lives around Pirate Hunter worship as they try to resist the temptation to commit deviant sex acts with stone owls.

I reckon it's just a summer lull. People want to be outside enjoying the weather so don't have time for being on the computer.

Wimps Summer is good and everything...i'm going to Bloodstock and a LARP event, but there will always be time for Shartak. Except for at Bloodstock, where i'll go inactive for a couple of days, unless someone can take over my accounts for a couple of days - they'll need to do that when i go on holiday too. I'll look around closer to the time

I've been outside a lot, but that's only because I'm trying to score with any willing girl who's within three years of my age and looks decent or above, and there's about a hundred of those where I live.
I don't think Shartak is dying, we're just getting bored of the current groups and fighting each other all the time.

Actually, the numbers are rising ever so slightly. It's just that the old groups are dying. I suspect new groups will be filling the gap. The CP died, and they were replaced by the York Coalition. Other groups will move in as well.

Also, note that Derby had no organized groups at all for the most time, while now it is bustling with activity.

I thought about mentioning that, but I was afraid it would seem self-serving.

Derby has far to much peace. And for being the smallest outsider settlement, it is the most civilized.
Wow

Well we in Derby are truly interested in keeping the peace so we don't go looking for a fight.
And our leader isn't a paranoid lunatic.
