Hello,
A player contacted me in-game and said that someone was looking for me in the forums. I was aware that the Shartak forums exist (the "forum" button at the bottom of the game UI was a helpful hint of this

) but I hadn't read them, and didn't intend to register.
I prefer to keep all my character activity in-game. It seems more challenging, and makes the characters seem more real and "alive", to do that. Having said that, if something my character(s) said or did was of sufficient interest to prompt a forum invite, then I'm flattered. If my characters seem to have distinct personalities, and have added a little bit of flavor to the game, then I've done my job as a gamer.

I play Shartak (and a few other games) to keep myself entertained while at work. Browser based MMOs suit this role well, because they don't demand real-time attention, and have a daily AP cap to keep them from taking too much of my time. My absolute favorite game of this type was Nexus War, which I played for several years. It was through the Nexus War community that I found out about Shartak.
I like Shartak - it has strong color and ambiance, and the game mechanics lend themselves heavily toward one-on-one, player-vs-player fighting, which can be a lot of fun.
The name 'happy trauma' is just a goofy username that I made up a long time ago, and have used in several different online games. In the context of Shartak, I decided to play my main character as a xenophobic native warrior in the mold of ClickClick. I then had to somehow justify how such a flamboyantly indigenous personality would have a goofy name made up of western words, like "happy trauma". So I decided that it was a phonetic approximation of his true name in the ancient Dalpok native language (his character profile gives this information), which I think is a pretty good excuse for it.
As for me, I'm married w/ young kids. I just don't have the bandwidth for a lot of forum activity, so I want to reiterate that I'm probably not going to be much of a presence here. Anyway, I don't like to coordinate in-game activity through forums or IRC, since it seems like meta-gaming. But thanks for the interest and the invitation.
Best wishes, & see you in game.
