People die, accidents happen. The world moves on by. In a week what is considered a travesty today will be forgotten by the next travesty. What happened a year ago, no more then a joke.

It makes good television....

I disagree. I still think about Columbine at least once a week, and I think about 9/11 at least once a week as well, and I think about sex offenders and all that at least once a day and how badly I'd love to be responsible to see them behind bars. Most of the research I've ever done on the internet has been on terrorism and all sorts of different crimes and criminals. Hell, I've always looked at people in public places like malls to see if they perhaps had a gun on them, and I look for escape routes in case someone in school shows up with a gun. It's like instinct, no matter where I go - even at work or at home or, hell, on the way home from school. If my sister and I just had a fight, and we're not walking home together, and I'm walking behind her and some guy walks a bit too close to her for comfort, bet your that I'm gonna be looking around for things to throw at him, ready to drop my bag and sprint and shout after him, and all that, in case he tries anything at all. Paranoia makes me feel totally safe.

You live a unique exsistance, Malice, and one I pity you for. From what I read your paranoia would stop you from having any form of fun, or even content as you'd have to check every minute or so for possible threats. Most don't think anywhere near like you as apathy is a hard thing to shake. Personally, I don't care either way. I've suffered my own hells, and what i've learned is to look out for number one.

And what is it you'll accomplish with your paranoia? Teach it to your children perhaps, and they with this new seed of doubt and fear will grow to embellish what you've originally found frightening. I can see your children on television, gun in hand, four students shot, because a student over reached.

Don't doubt that it's a scary world Malice, but in truth you've got nothing to fear if you stay calm, watch your back, and have fun. The world will not stop spinning if you lay off the terrorist bull:palm: for some mindless entertainment. Hell, more deaths come from over reacting then being laid back.

But don't mind me, I'm just an ekhm. Fearless and travel worn.

True words, Wise-a-dox, I don't believe in God, but I believe that accidents happen, and whatever you do to prevent them, if you are bound to get hit, you get it. You may minimize the threat by your own actions, but definitely not by getting prepared for it. I myself am afraid of many things, and some cases could be called paranoid, but if I keep that mine working, I'd dig down to the hell's door soon. I just let it flow, and it flows...

Yeah, but I DO have fun. I'm just careful when it comes to lunatics. At the moment, the person available I'd most like to have with me in case of a serious emergency is myself, because I know I can keep a pretty cool head in bad situations like car wrecks and fires and fights at school.

Anyway, nobody can say I don't have fun. If you knew me in real life, you'd... well, you'd know me in real life. Tongue
