Question: Would you ever consider rearranging/removing some of the skills from certain classes, and compensating the character with the equivalent XP?

Iceman - I presume you mean as a one-off "we're removing this skill" type thing, rather than a feature where a character can "forget" how to do a skill and receive some XP back.

If this is the case, we might consider it but there would have to be a really good reason.

Yes, the first one. As in, adding some new skills for classes, but taking away some of the existing ones to keep things in balance. For example, giving shamen or pirates some kick-ass skills to reflect what should be a kick-ass class, but removing some of the others that don't fit or would make the new skills too powerful.

I think there is a wealth of potential for giving the classes some clearly defined roles/abilities, but that the current generic spread of all but a few skills really holds back an important aspect of the game.
