I wish to strengthen Raktam. I see no need to go to war since there is nothing we would want that could not be traded or aquired through diplomacy. I assure you that Raktami cuisine is very fine, so you can keep your cockroaches. I'm hoping to bring some small trade and a lot of gambling to Raktam, whose central position could be exploited for the benefit of it's people.

Cheers for recording it all. In my panic to flee eagerness to face Manticore, I neglected to grab a copy and my event log mainly shows me and him swinging swords.

EDIT: I should be clear that this does not mean I am foregoing my normal pacifism. But it struck me that part of the problem might be Manticore's delusion of parity. Since we were both aware of our conciousness from the start, I considered it a duel of honour. Which I naturally won, because I'm cleverer, more handsome and a better swordsman. But having won, that is the end of the matter as far as I'm concerned. I seek no further vengeance. His lackey's attack on me could only have been thwarted by my fleeing the scene, and I refused to leave my people unprotected and at the mercy of these dangerous thugs, the CATs. In summary: I'm a damn hero, a matyr even!

Nihlia is quite correct in pointing out we are not allies. Not yet, anyway. However, as a pirate almost everyone on Shartak kills me on sight. As such, anyone actually healing me tends to illicit such an elated response. This is why most Misfits are also on my List Of People I Won't Stab. Fear not, potential clients, it is a very short list.
