Every player has a link to refer other players (if I remember right).

A simple change, any referred account that meets certain requirements (1 month activity, minimum level 4) gives $1 (one time only for each account) to the donation pool of the referring player as a "thankyou for the shiny new nublets".

Another, optional, idea is players can gain a free 25ap per day (once per day) for either tweeting or posting about shartak on facebook (this would require open auth to be implemented).

Good ideas. They were good ideas when you suggested them like six months ago. Good ideas, I have found, mean exactly jack all without the means to implement them.

I'd be Willing, and Able, to do a InternetRadioShow about Shartak. I Was planning to do that sometime Anyway, but about text-based/browser-based gaming in general. Talking about Games like UD, Shartak, and LOGD but I Can do one about Shartak alone.

Edit: Whoops, I was just going by the title alone on this one, Advertising lol. Never mind me, carry on.

Easiest way is via BlogTalkRadio, but Ustream or Livestream are options if you got a phone# you're okay with getting call-ins on.

I personally find a switchboard to be quite handy. http://Http://Www.BlogTalkRadio.Com/BarnCatRadio uses that system for it's showtime solutions.

Podcasting is nice but lacks the thrill of airing a live show.

Shoutcast, may be something I'll look into.

I Like BTR just fine, but there are times where my free :45 just isn't enough. You just get into the swing of an interesting guest or on a roll with a prime topic and then it cuts you off with just a second's notice, lol.

But that's just one downside.

Anyways,

You do get gold and xp but I like the idea that if they stick around the player that referred them gets a nice bonus.

If it is a good idea then keep telling us

I'd say my calendar is wide open so far this month, just mostly been floating alot of free format incidental topics lately. Just did a show on videogaming last sunday and I made mention of textbased & browserbased gaming actually, lol.

ive been trying to get my skyrim'ing friends into the game, advertising it as d and d on a computer. i dont think its working, but i figure thats the demographic. people who would play wow or other rpgs, take away the graphics, use your imagination and creativity, its fun!

Imagination and Creativity are the Plus of this game, rather than it being Dictated to you, no matter How well done.

Scorponok's UD Counterpart, Scarapace, has his Referral Link as his profile's "website" = Players for Shartak / Gold for Rakmogak's apex predator, LoL.
