Folks - we might need to postpone this for a week. Simon hasn't answered his email (even paying him some cash on some alts hasn't grabbed his attention) so I'm guessing he is caught up on something. There is not much point all of us only hunting one bear or whatever the standard number of bears are.
Also, we will get more participants if there is an announcement.
I'm angling with Simon that whoever rocks up at the starting point (the waterfall) gets a bear skin cloak, so there's no point in proceeding until this is sorted with Simon.
I hand-drew a bear badge the other night which I thought looked good (along with a "300 items buried" badge and a "300 possessions" badge). But I think the trend is towards having these done by Photoshop or Paintbox, so I'll re-do them in that format over the weekend. If someone has an image hosting account, let me know and I'll send it though so you can post it here.

Daves, the waterfall is the worst starting point for this, mainly because there are no bears on that mountain path, they are all on the main path.
And you really shouldn't have a starting point.
Neil has 11 bear kills by the way.

Yup! But there is a reason for it: I like the idea of some role play amongst the participants beforehand. And if you are there, you get your bear fur cloak and your competition badge.
Ok, Simon has contacted me, and we are on.
I'll send him an email about the announcement tomorrow so it should go out shortly.
Justice Hart of York had been revived to compete. Blue Hummingbird is officiating, along with other native monarchs. I'm on an iPad at the moment so it's difficult to edit the list of competitors in the initial pst, but I'll do so tomorrow.

i forgot to add, woody has two bear kills. will there be healers or an available source of first aid kits? woodys currently on the mountain warming up fighting shargles, along with a few others, but i realized he hasnt got a lot of supplies. should he just spawn at home(derby) and make his way back or what?

Dani can provide healing for the event. I can also build a 'Royal Bear Hunt' road linking the waterfall to Raktam or one of the roads connecting to Raktam, though it may not be done before the event starts.
