I found this strange quiz today.

I used Dani al-Ghazali and wound up with a score of 50--dead-on 'Mary-Sue'. Some of the questions were hard to spin for the Shartak setting, but  regardless, there weren't enough ambiguous ones to bump me into 'borderline'.

You try.

Your Mary Sue Score: -9

This was based on Johnny Hobo, who I have always imagined as this sort of bearded, dirty homeless man who has one eye, is ugly as sin, and sleeps in a pile of garbage. Most of the quiz had to do with a fantastic approach, as if the character would be awesome/excels at life/is loved by everyone. Which is not the case, because Johnny is not very respectable and in fact wretched on the inside/outside, and doesn't excel at anything other than grifting and drinking.

Heh. Vetari the Vicious is 32.
What's so Mary Sue about a violent pirate-turned-cannibal, possesses a great amount of muscle, hair and rather brute strength with the personality of a rock?

I do believe the quiz was based around forum RP's and chatroom RP's where animu characters were all of the rage and everyone had laser swords and . I don't know, my best guess.

Your Mary Sue Score: 23

This was for the fine Mr. Templeton. I thought it'd be higher.

Totally had to wing a few things. I mean, I assume we're immortal, and Simon made us immortal, and as soon as I pieced that together I yelled "SIIIIMOOOON" at the cieling, so I assumed that made me angsty about being immortal...

Edit: Though some of those questions gave me a few ideas... Wink

I finally had time to run through this, for Baron Robert Surcouf, and I got a 12. I'm not surprised, he is pretty anti-Sue, even some of the points that I got were for "hair" which I stretched since I imagine the Surcouf with tremendously thick chest and back hair, while survey problem meant hair on ones head. Most of the points came from the historical and foreign side of things. If I had made up a French guy it would have been even lower. Anyway, I'll try again with some of my other characters, someone has got to be a Mary Sue.

I got a 3.

Apparently aging fat men languishing in dead end jobs, fighting and dying and fighting the same people over and over aren't "Mary Sue" material.
