Vercingetorix kills NPC shamans and traders, a tough gig since they fight back. He's presently trying to kill the closest roaming shaman, Pabkim, which is north-west of Derby. That actually helps Derby's defence against FAD, as the next closest roaming shaman is Atok, which I think is a distance to the north

Not that he's asked me to, but I can vouch for FAD on this.  My native character was killed by FAD near the swamp in Derby, I respawned at the wandering shaman to see Vercingetorix attacking said shaman.  I puzzled about this at the time as I knew the pirates were attacking Derby and could see no logistical advantage in them taking out the shaman. 

More puzzling to me was to see a native, Shanks McBitey, kill someone and then say "no killing in Derby" (or words to that effect).  I also have first hand experience of that as it was my character who was killed - Anthropophagi, who logged back in after being idle for nearly 2 years and just so happened to be in the Derby medical hut (yes I had another character in the area, but to be fair I had no idea where I'd left them all).  I killed the two occupants of the med hut and was then disposed of by Shanks with the aforementioned message.

Also yes, I have just logged back in to the forum after two years just to defend Daves.  Also no, we are not sleeping together.

What zergers in derby? Everybody know the meat's fav. hobby is the hunting and wholesale slaughter of zergers. Now name some names.

Killing a zerger is just about as useful as spitting into the wind. It doesn't do you a whole lot of good, and sometimes it comes back to hit you in the face.
