In short, I'm also dismayed to see them go, but that being said, I'm unwilling to claim primary responsibility for their departure.

That makes a change.

As long as we're clear that it was me that cried it. I don't want to turn around and suddenly find 'Twist's Tears' has become 'Mencken's Mourning'.

I only know what you're referring to because you explained it to me once. Chances are no one else does, nor cares. Where's killy when you need him?

I only meant that you provide a fine antidote for some of Iceman's less endearing traits.

They tend to be different sides of the same coin, actually.

You're going to have to wait a couple of months before you can make a face turn, Gollemn.

I'm pretty sure I've explained how you're a self-promoting glory-seeker with an over-inflated notion of his own importance more than once.

Actually, if I understand the substance of your complaints (your pretentious british man routine tends to put everything material out of focus), there seems to be three major points:

a) Mencken doesn't take responsibility for anything.

b) Mencken takes responsibility for everything.

c) Mencken is a shameless self-promoter.

Well, a and b contradict each other, so I'm just going to dismiss them, and just address c. We are all technically writers here, as you've suggested several times. Writers are not known to have humble and self-effacing natures. Whether I deserve the feather I decorate my cap with or not, doesn't really matter. You have every right to be annoyed by my arrogant attention-seeking. You'd also have to be a hypocrite to pretend such quality doesn't exist in yourself, or is particularly 'deserved'. So I'm also going to dismiss c, not because it's illogical like the other two, just that it's irrelevant. You're free to argue of course, but I'd prefer you do it via pm, where I will give your caustic wit all the attention it 'deserves'.

It's either that or a flame war. Take your pick. The other option is to shut up, which In My Humble Opinion seems like the wisest decision you could make here.

You guys give me a good laugh. Thank you. Now lets get back to murdering and pillaging.

Also, the Drifters just reappeared in LR, so I wouldn't put it past them to reappear here also.

The Drifters haven't disappeared. I say it quite honestly, from the viewpoint of my travels, that they are in a different city than Durham, or else just scattered around.
