Did you miss the memo that the Black Hearted etc. were attacking Derby? I didn't miss that memo, and neither did the Misfits or those that are friends with us. If you were peaceful, I guess you will have to take that up with Captain Low.

From what I gathered before the massacre went down, Captain Low told all the pirates...

Captain Low staggers to get his footing. He limps up to the bar and stabs his dagger deep into the aged wood. Glaring around the room. “Right. So I suppose ye’ all be wonderin’ what I called ye’ here for.”
Captain Low snarls a spits. "The island seems ter think the pirates have gone soft..."
Captain Low says “They seen us chasin' ghost ships and buyin' their drinks, politely brawlin' and carryin' on lived civilized bloody men...”
Captain Low sneers derisively at the last of the bar regulars. "So as I be sayin'..."
Captain Low says “We aim ter show this island what the bloody hell we're all about. Startin' with a stab in the back to one of the largest outsider strongholds in the east.”
Captain Low says “So this here tavern be ours for the time bein'. And we aim ter take them bronze cannons ye've got on that pretty tower over yonder...”
Captain Low says “And any other loot we can find at our bloody leisure as we burn this town to the ground and kick over the ashes.”

If something comes up and Captain Low decides this was something done in a drunken frenzy I'll understand. So far I haven't heard anything like that, so we are killing the Black Hearted etc. pirates until we are notified otherwise.

Hmm, me buckos, I think we are being taunted as a group. For shame, as we pirates have skins as thin as rhino hides and as sensitive as swamp.

I indeed noticed you've rallied, swabs: its a rare day you'll catch me without my sea legs and snoozing in the sun, and I tip my tricorn to Mr Pigbat for his quick thinking.

But we pirates don't quit. Ever, beyond all common sense and rational measure. The war between York and pirates officially stopped 3 years ago but Raffles and I still stalk the town and kill them as we see them: hundreds of the accursed keel-hauled York scum over the years between us have seen our swordsmanship in their last breaths.

The Hanged Misfit will be a mark of Cain: pirates will know, as the sun rises in the east and a stiff breeze will take you to the horizon, that a Misfit is a victim, and our handshake with a Misfit is done firmly... but with the tip of a cutlass.

The fire north of Derby is a real slow down to get back. If that is a strategically started blaze, then a nod to whoever thought of it.
