This place is utterly retarded.

Nah, just me when I'm too drunk to post but not drunk enough to pass out.  Going to delete that post and just say I do apologise for it.

On a different note maybe putting up signs on the island for the charities might not be too bad an idea?  If it gets even a small donation from a non-forum goer then it'll be worth it.

Mencken, let me tell you the story of a janitor. Nobody knows what this janitor thinks, but he is a highly intelligent man. Why is he so smart? He just is. He also has a wide range of interests. This janitor attained duals majors in biochemistry and law, but deferred an professional income for he saw injustice in the world. He traveled the world and have met eye to eye with death, and his thought has changed ever since.

It made him realize that there is subtle beauty contained in seemingly inconspicuous things. He feels his time was wasted working as a paralegal on an unsuccessful referendum to acquire federal support for starving people. But he doesn't claim to know anything about the world. He finds the extent of human knowledge overwhelming and could never hope to absorb the faintest drop of it in a single lifetime. Maybe self-professed intellectuals such as yourself would have more successful ventures not just in Shartak, but life itself, if you realized that you have few things to pride yourself in.

You know I think this janitor could have held down a better job.

Well, he should have armed himself if he's going to decorate his saloon with my friend.

Hey guys, once again, this isn't the thread for measuring dicks or placing your petty forum dramas above starving homeless people dying from cholera. This is the thread for discussing ways to help Haiti. I'd kindly ask everyone to take a look at their posts and if they are negative, just delete them. The bad posts are cluttering up a thread that has some good ideas for ways to do some good.

If you have anything to add that is mean or stupid, please just move along.

Fantastic link, Flamese. I will add that to the first post, along with your suggestion, Kataara.

EDIT: Front page updated with suggestions culled from Mencken, Anthor, Flamese and Kataara. If I missed something, lemme know.

“I’m an Indian tonight, baby,” he announced. “C’mon, let’s let ’em have it.” Then he dumped a pickle jar of change on the floor, told her to get a machete, and went out to the garage.

Maybe the idea of signposts with the links made around the settlements?
