Junkhead uses a healing herb on you and restores 3 health.
You see the unmistakable flicker of a fire and smell smoke from right here.
Junkhead pulls up a log and sits down by the campfire.
Junkhead takes out his peace pipe, tokes, and says to you while blowing out smoke "So let's see this new totem."
Junkhead starts coughing and falls off the log.
Junkhead gives you a gourd of tasty berry juice.
Rachel Stone smiles at the assembled, "Hello all, I'll wait one more day to see if any other Tribe members show up."
You say “This island has proven to be very advantageous for us Junkhead, I've found lots of treasure on it, and the totem of the turtle.”
Junkhead says “Hi Hafta what brings you here?”
Junkhead says “Sounds good to me, it took me about a day to find this island again, I was swimming around it for awhile hehe.”
Junkhead says “I think Otfried he said he was going to Derby to check things out.”
Junkhead says “I know a very nice Turtle. ^_^”
Junkhead says “Standing by the northern coast would make us easier to spot.”
A loud crackling from the fire startles you. As you look, a shower of sparks float up into the air.
You say “That is a good idea. I'll head to the Northern beach”
Junkhead says “This will also make us visible to enemys you know this yes?”
Junkhead says “I cannot attack a living thing unless provoked, but I will defend you if things get sticky.”

You say “I am not worried of enemies Junkhead, they are preoccupied.”
You say “One group of them on this island believe themselves to be safe on a penisula, the other has no corrdination, and the last group merely protect their village and swamp and that is it.”

Explanation of the Turtle

A loud crackling from the fire startles you. As you look, a shower of sparks float up into the air.
A piece of wood shifts in the fire and a shower of sparks float up into the air.
Rachel Stone looks on as the wood shifts, smoke flaring up in the air in the shape of an egg. She dons her alligator headdress, her eyes turn from her customary dark pupils to white.
You say “The turtle totem has been found. Almost as old and unchanged like the alligator, the turtle is about peace and defense. The turtle knows how to evade, and stay out of a predator's way.”
Rachel Stone begins to draw within the smoke of the fire, Junkhead watches in amazement as the smoke seems to follow her finger. From the egg shape, and turtle's shell begins to form within the smoke.
You say “Slow and steady is the turtle's message. Let the enemy exhaust themselves trying to get to you, then lash out when they are tired and weak.”
Rachel Stone begins to draw the head of the turtle, "As a turtle shell defends itself from harm, a person imbued by the turtle is a defender by heart. They take solace in others company.
You say “Willing to live within a town's borders, patrol their home territory, trust people until otherwise shown, and above all, protect the weak and the innocent.”
Rachel Stone begins to draw the tail and legs in the smoke, "A person who is a turtle exhibits a very innocent aura, people will trust them upon seeing, and help them without question."
You say “They tend to live longer than others, and in the company of many friends. The turtle is not a loner at all.”

Bequeathing of the Shell Blade

Rachel Stone finishes her drawing in the smoke, and it seems that the picture captures the essence of the turtle. She reaches behind to back to draw a heavy sword with a unique hilt.
Rachel Stone examines the hilt, which has a small turtle shell embedded within it, the blade itself is made up of multicolored scales, "I found the knowledge of the turtle totem with this blade."
You say “It was buried amoungst this island, with what seemed to be a store of food and provisions, this blade represents the turtle totem and should be given to one who protects, not one who kills. ”
You say “Junkhead, I think it's by fate you choose to come with me to this island, and so, by fate, I give this sword to you, you are now the holder of the Shell Blade..”
You say “Be the protector you were meant to be. Protect those you deem worthy. Never strike with this blade against someone who didn't attack you, for then the blade will break. Only use this in defense.”
Rachel Stone hands the blade over to Junkhead, "I am tired now, I need sleep."
You give a heavy sword to Junkhead .

The Tribe descends into the Caverns beneath Shartak

Death Becomes You says “We must be careful there are cannibals nearby and I have had to kill one ”
Biophiliac says “Tunnel that branches to the west from 1N of us is clear to the next intersection, just a few just-killed rats.”
Death Becomes You says “I am heading that way now”
You say “I will be going west again”

Rachel Stone staggers back as the giant spider emerges from a dark hole, "Biophiliac to arms!"
Biophiliac pulls the machete out from the Spider's thorax. "I've heard there were spiders down here, but I've never seen one myself. They get huge!"
Biophiliac says “Oh, yuck, it's covered in dried spider poison now. Bleh.”
You say “You can pick the direction this time Biophiliac”
Biophiliac says “I admit, I'm not sure. Maybe the northern passage? I'm really just following, I've never actually been down here ”
You say “Let me scout it some and see.”

Biophiliac kills the giant spider with a machete.
Biophiliac says “Ugh. This spider corpse smells terrible.”
Otfried says “Hi guys sorry I ran into an old friend on the way to the cave.”
You hear Otfried whisper “I'm fine with helping out when you can't be here.”
Otfried says “Ill continue on until I reach the next intersection.”
Death Becomes You says “I am pleased to find you all”
You say “We've found giant spiderw with increasing activity around here. I'll head up to the next intersection to see what I can find.”
Rachel Stone walks in and stabs the rat with a cutlass, "Buggers can eat you right quick if you don't stop them."

Rachel Stone looks at the pool, "That is interesting, I think we need to check it out."
You say “There is an island in the middle of the pool. We shall go up there.”
You say “Their is an underground pool ahead with a small island in the middle of it. I think we should investigate, I will be up there.”
You search but all you can find is a broken knife which you discard. It seems there is nothing of any use to be found here.
You say “I know, hence why I want to investigate it”

Otfried says “Idk what happened to Junkhead, he probably met up with Wall-e back there.”
Otfried says “This place is pretty big. I'd love to see what's under the water.”
Biophiliac says “This place is definitely big. I'll go scout some corridor tomorrow.”
Death Becomes You says “I am going to scout the northern section”
Death Becomes You says “Solid rock to the north !”
Death Becomes You says “To the west is a tunnel that has the following junction”

More Traveling, getting nearer

FFFFF says “Must have wandered very near home. Usually see no one else.”
Otfried says “So which way?”
Otfried says “Oh on a side note, we could probably take over Derby with maybe 5 more warriors. You know just a place to kick it for awhile, plus that'll definitely send a message to those damned outsiders.”
Otfried says “Just go in kill everyone then kill the shaman, as I said just alittle food for thought.”
You say “We can do that after this journey then.”

Biophiliac kills the rat with a machete.
Biophiliac says “The directions had me confused, haha. I'll be at the last intersection though, until we figure out where we want to go next ”
You say “Made it back, Otfried, explore the east, Biophiliac explore the northern passage. See where they end up, I'll tend to Death Becomes You wounds.”
You say “It's up to you if you wish to have this be the spot where you find the SPider Totem.”
Biophiliac says “Northern passage goes up, then briefly NW, then splits to the W and E. It's clear up till that intersection- I'll begin exploring them in a bit.”
Death Becomes You says “To the west I found this”
Death Becomes You says “70.329, 26.458”
Death Becomes You says “A sign that says Dalpok is to the west”
Death Becomes You says “The spider totem is at the entrance to that exit I believe”
Otfried says “There's a decent sized pool to east.”
You say “Let's move west then.”

Otfried gives you a gourd of water.
Otfried says “Here take a drink, these caves run deep this is the 1st time I've ever explored them.”
Otfried says “I'm kind of in awe.”
Otfried says “Right, I'll scope out the west real fast.”
Otfried says “We have 2 intersections, 1st heading south the 2nd continuing to Dalpok.”
Biophiliac says “Kind of nice down here. In that creepy, damp, smelly sort of way.”

Spider Totem Found

Death Becomes You says “I have never truly explored the caves normally dying whenever I have entered so this has been an experience”
Death Becomes You says “I am just going to look for a giant spider”
Death Becomes You says “I want that beasts scalp!”
Death Becomes You says “Tired and poisoned but I found one”
You say “Something is here...I just need some time to discern what it is. Make sure no one or nothing is sneaking up on us.”
You toss a handful of rune-marked sticks onto the floor. They land indicating Fire, Water, Earth and Earth.
You say “interesting...”
Otfried says “Same story here Death, Idk if anyone of us have ever went this far into the caves.”
Otfried says “Congrats on the spider kill btw.”
Otfried says “Do not waste herbs or AP on me, I'll be fine.”
Biophiliac says “You sure? I still have like 70 or so herbs, haha ”
Otfried says “Oh ok then go ahead, carrying too many darts ”

Rachel Stone enters a trance, and her eyes seem to roll into the back of her head, showing only the white, her hands begin to trace sigils into the ground.
Rachel Stone feet trace the essence of a spider's soul into the ground, and suddenly a light flares in the color of green.
Rachel Stone eyes come back around, and she looks around at her companions, "Death Becomes You, the green light has stayed with you the strongest. It has chosen you."
You say “Spiders show us the illusions casted in front of us to block our way, they show us our true path through life.”
You say “The show us the balance within all. People blessed by this totem know how their actions will affect the future, and use that knowledge to help them and theirs.”
You say “A spider totem is blessed by earth, and through earth, all the creatures that run through it.”
You say “Take these items, to help you carry out the balance of the world. One of these will help you divine the future.”
Rachel Stone hands over some rune sticks that have been coated in spider venom and seem to anticipate their next throw. The glow with an unearthly green light.
You give some rune sticks to Death Becomes You .
You say “And these bottles of spider laced venom drink will give you extra actions to accomplish the balance you seek throughout life.”
Rachel Stone hands over some bottles that have a spider symbol on them.
You say “Congratulations on finding your animal totem Death Becomes You, and thank you to Otfried and Biophiliac for helping us on our quest.”
You say “And it seems we have a choice, Otfried wishes to punish Derby, which is all fine and good, and a newer member asks for our help to protect Dalpok. It is up to each of you on which task you will take.”
You say “I'll let the Tribe decide what is best for themselves. We should try to reconvene in a couple weeks though. Good luck on whichever path you take.�

Dear Tribe Members,

I'm a newly awakened Shaman who has heard many good tales of your clan.  I'm very much attracted to your noble synthesis of mystical self-exploration, maintenance of traditional practices, and righteous application of judicious violence against those who would defile our sacred land.  As I said, I am but a lonely Shaman, but I hope I may prove to be of some assistance to our clans aims.  On a particular note, I would be a more than willing participant in any forthcoming raids, as this aspect of the world is very new to me, and I'm sure I would be able to learn much from the tactics and approaches of those more senior in the clan.
