Different icons for each of the different plant types. So they don't appear on the map all as palm trees.

or if that's too powerful limit it too those with agriculture skill.

Decent idea, but he would need help to make the images.

If you had any image ideas, post them and that would help out Simon greatly.

Looks like lama might have competition when it comes to the graphical side of things!

Those images are pretty good, however I don't know about putting different icons for poison/tasty berry bushes. If you don't have native knowledge, you can't tell the difference - and I believe that even if you do, you can't tell the difference until you search/harvest some berries.

Even after playing for quite some time it still kind of confuses me how berry bushes and trees have the same icons. So having different icons would be a nice improvement... but poisonous/tasty berry bushes definitely should have the same icon.

I was thinking berry bush would only be different for those who can tell. So outsiders see all berry bushes as being poisonous ones, (or have it random which would be far funnier) while natives see them as different. But if that's not possible. meh.

I dunno how sophisticated the game is. Could it have all berry bushes appear the same even for natives until the tile is reached or searched?

Those are really good. Probably easier to just have the berry bushes look the same, I prefer the red berries on the poisonous version.

There was a very brief point where my young cannibal was entirely peaceful and wanted to devote his life to planting fruit trees around the lakes of skull island. that didn't happen, in part because I was repeatedly killed by the great teacher Yaquitoacl, but also because I just didn't see enough of a interest in agriculture as it looks now. anyway, this might get people a little more interested in seeing the fruits of their labour (hyuk hyuk)!

Wow, awesome. Nice one, kiwi guy. Have you tried them against different densities of jungle graphics? When I was playing with hut images I found it can make a surprising difference to the look of the image.

Yeah some of them don't quite look right when overlaid over some of the jungle images. But not so bad I'd be bothered by it.
The jungle seems a bit darker (and better done). And many already have red berry plants.

Is that how it works?
any plant is overlaid over the jungle image?
Of any density?

Altered these ones a bit darker.

Up to a point. When the jungle reaches a certain density (I think 7 or 8, but don't take it as gospel) the image is hidden, whether it's a plant, hut or signpost. I think.
