There are a lot of us around the island will stop to talk with/RP/help new players. It has always been like that. Because of the large map, it makes a cohesive clan of new players harder than in say NW. But if everyone makes an effort, it should enhance the player experience all around.

We dont need to argue about how to help, because with everyone's different styles, it should be very complementary to the varying new players' needs.

I think EVERYONE's efforts are great here! Keep up the super work.

Tip #2 (14 November 2010)

New players in Raktam should visit the Stone Witch Tavern and the Royal Court Throne Room to ask questions of the players there, who are very happy to help new players. In Derby, try the Hanged Misfit Pub and in Wiksik try the Necromancers' Guildhouse. Directions to each of these places are on the wiki, although the Necromancers' Guildhouse and the Royal Court are especially easy to find as they are customised huts.

When the tutorial is completed, players are shown:

Congratulations! You've finished the tutorial. Now it's time to continue the adventure on your own. If you would like more assistance, you should check the Newcomers Guide and other Wiki resources. The Forum is also a good place to ask for help.

If anyone feels that there should be other things mentioned here, please let me know via PM.

Up to tip #5 now. We have four members, all people I've invited to join the clan when I've stumbled across them in game.

Yep, I've been doing that. We now have 8 members, and just had our 8th tip update. Only one member has become inactive. Hopefully this means the NWW is helping people stay in the game.

Personally I think suggesting that they leave at level four is bad form.  Some of them may want to help out Newbies like we helped them.

Yep, sure, and thanks. Welcoem back. I saw you joined the NWW this morning. I'll drop Simon a note about you becoming admin.

Neil, yes, I agree and I'll change that.

If anyone wants to take over this clan, let me know. I just don't have the time. It's another way of getting new players to stay. (There are a lot of tips listed now.)
