I started out here on the reccomendation of mister Crazy Ian, and joined really just for the sake of something to do. Hence why the LT is basically my incarnation on Shartak, as annoying as that may be at times. At risk of pinching Iceman's sentiments, however, it kind of developed into a place for me to create characters and stories, something I've been doing for a while even without Shartak. Algy Tempelton, for instance, is now a major character in one of my writing projects in school, with the Shartak personality and all.
Also, it's a place to meet new friends and generally broaden my horizons. Far too many people for me to name have influenced my Shartakian life, but I'd like to think that being exposed to a broader if sometimes virtual view of the world has helped me become a better person.  Grin
