A new ability for cannibals.
Say your trotting along in the jungle, you come across a pale skin and think "Grgh, get off my land!", so you bludgen him to death with your club. All that action has caused you to get peckish. Hell, swinging that club cant be easy, but hold your horses dont chow down now, cook your victim first!
Once your victim is dead you can start a campfire on the same square your victims body, this causes a message:
You light the camp fire and begin to cook the body before you, you here popping noises as the flesh begins to crack and the eyeballs burst.
Now if you perform the top level action of Ritual Gluttony on the cooked corpse all the same beneifts apply but double fould i.e. You gain 10hp.....maybe thats a bit much but you get the idea.
After youve chowed down, a person who visits that square will see a charred body.

Cooking is for sissies.
If any sort of cooking is introduced, I'd rather see a universal skill that is used on animals. For cannibals, the extra HP simply wouldn't be worth carrying around driftwood or trying to start a fire and then cooking. I think they should eat their food screaming-rare.

@ screaming rare. I was thinking from a RP point of view. Alternativly, it could be applied to killing, cooking and eating animals you kill in order to gain HP.

totally behind this. make it an animal thing and a universal skill. But really like the idea.

You attack Aiden Dakari and miss. Unlucky or just clumsy? The blade snaps off and you're left holding the handle, which you discard. You whisper to Aiden Dakari, “Fffffffffffffffffff-!” Solemn fuggin' books it. "His bum, it is of the steel and diamond! Beware, he craps thunder and pisses lightning!"
Trader Dick says, "Right, here's 1 piece of driftwood for 1 of your crabs"

Still think you should be able to build a campfire on the corpse of an animal then cook it for Hp increase, maybe add some apples etc etc. Wild Boar in an apple cider sauce hmmmmm........ok maybe that aspect it to far.
Should have an option to skin the blighters as trophies or cook em...imagine walking along and you find a chared half eaten corpse of a silverback. Epic.

Finally the Famine is Finished. @ screaming rare. I was thinking from a RP point of view. Alternativly, it could be applied to killing, cooking and eating animals you kill in order to gain HP. Gain the equivalent or half the HP of whatever animal you've killed Back by making a campfire. I Like it.

I noticed the other day when I eat people my hp goes higher than the maximum (is there a cap for that?). I was thinking that maybe instead of cooking people you could get a new attack like the fist or something that is like a bite, that you can only use on players with little hp left, say 10, and you heal yourself some of that bite damage as hp.

The wiki is a good place to look for the information on skills. Here's the info on Ritual Eating http://wiki.shartak.com/index.php/Native_Classes#Cannibal

As long as other classes get a similar ability for balance I'd be fine with this. I propose all other classes get an ability where they can drag a cannibal corpse with them and hang them from something as an effigy. Like you could prop up a cannibal corpse outside a hut as a decoration or hang them from a gateway. It'd also give people more of a reason to go to Ragmogak. They could kill cannibals to use as decorations or just take their bodies directly from the shaman.

That'd be fun if cannibals get to do it to normal people too. Hardly fair to go "Duck season is closed, it's now Cannibal season!" I feel sorry for the peaceful cannibals. They'd all be mercilessly killed.

The balance, I thought, was that Cannibals - for all their power and potential - are so feared and distrusted that life's not easy for them simply due to judgements made on their nature.

I play a cannibal who's a bounty hunter. He doesn't kill unless the victim is a PKer. So what'd happen to my cannibal and other similar ones? Farmed for house objects? Well, that's a lovely reason to play cannibal isn't it? There's more than enough stereotypes about cannibals which causes them to be stabbed on sight. There's a reason my cannibal sleeps in medhuts, it's because those are usually "safezones" where killing is banned (except York. I stay the away from there)
