Raktami  legends and tales silently whisper about the people of the marshes. Distant, unknown and unseen. About the obscure spiritual arts that have been practised for long ages under the soaked moss, guarded by ferocious alligators and betraying quagmires. Now they walk the island once again, so similar to us and yet so distant.

Eyes with silver glow, pale burning skin, adorned in clothes never seen by village merchants. Orwhans have been seen crafting refined tools and machines, fiercely fighting on the battlefield, making foods that could pleasure even the most spoiled aristocrats of the island.

There are rumours they are leaderless, each pursuing his own path, without a sense of duty nor attachment to one another. Yet, they use peculiar greetings in similar patterns on their bodies. Some say they can awaken things in human blood that most could not imagined so far. Others tell stories about humans who were accepted into their ranks and were changed forever.

OOC notes
*Orwhans are not a clan and not a group. There is no leader and any kind of organisation and cooperation is optional. It is a race of native people with unique culture.
*OOC recruiting is avoided as much as possible. Seek us in the game.

The Path to Aaiw

You attack the tiger with a machete for 1 damage. It dies. You gain 13 XP.
You lose 1 HP from an old wound. Use healing herbs to stop the bleeding before you die.
You step inside.
Marcy collapses into the medical huts with recent tiger wounds all over her body.
Marcy pushes herself up against the wall of the hut, her head dizzy, and she starts to mumble something you can't quite make out.
You say “Find... Que... Qua... k...”
Marcy shakes her head, and rests it in her hands. She slumps down, and sleeps.

Betrayal uses a healing herb on you and restores 10 health.

Betrayal applies some herbal poultices to Marcy's wounds, silver eyes flickering with grim suspicion. "Eoo, bloody and haggard...speak your message clearly, my curiousity spares you."
Erich Zann plays is viol.
Tameno swings a jolly jack o'lantern around.

Marcy hears Betrayal's demand, and stares at him nervously.
Marcy looks around, but no one else is paying attention it seems. She notices the :. tattoo on his hand, and her eyes grow wide.
You say “You know of what I speak. Please, where can I find Que'eldi? I've only heard his whispering in my dreams.”
Marcy hugs herself, and looks to the floor. "I thought I was following his presence, but perhaps I just felt yours."
Marcy shakes her head. "No. This cannot be just a dream. I will find this Que'eldi. I fear my life depends on it.”

Rachel Stone says “There is a hostiel outsider located in the wildfire due east. I extinguished the square he is on. He is wounded and easy prey.”
Betrayal places his right hand on Marcy's shoulder, the symbol of orwhan begins to glow slightly. "Be at peace eaa, if the elder has summoned you, you shall have my protection."
Betrayal says "Que'eldi is of Raktam, follow the road northwest of here, past the lake, through the grasslands, and a quick sprint through jungle and you shall arrive there. The presence will draw you. "
Betrayal says “If you need an escort, you may find me east of here, in a burnt patch of jungle. The sun shall be rising soon and I must feed... ”
Betrayal draws an obsidian dagger and strolls out into the coming dawn.
Betrayal sheaths his dagger, "It seems the eastern burning man is stronger now and I must conserve my energy."
Betrayal finds a quiet place to sit in the shadows and lowers his head in meditation.

Brenner kills Erich Zann with a cutlass.
Brenner kills Rachel Stone with a cutlass.
Bahl kills Dances with Kevin Costner with a rifle.
Bahl looks around and remarks, "he drew first blood"

Marcy closes her eyes, and focuses on the :. symbol in her mind. Her eye's squint as she says, "Yes. I see the path."
Marcy springs up, and looks at Betrayal. "Thank you for your help. I must go at once! Que'eldi is calling me! I know we shall meet again, Betrayal!"

feathers attacks you with a machete for 3 damage. You die.

You assume spirit form and leave your corpse behind.
Using all your concentration you telepathically contact Movak, the nearest shaman, who summons your spirit to him.
As your spirit is pulled from your current location to that of Movak, everything goes dark.
Your surroundings come back into view and you find that magically you have been brought back to life by Movak. You lie still for a while as your strength returns.
You stand up and gather all your equipment together.

Marcy pads her body, making sure it is all intact. Then her face turns to anger.
You say “That fool! He shall pay for what he's done, ten-fold!”
Marcy is breathing heavy, but then notices Movak moving away.
Marcy calms herself, and looks to the shaman. "Thank you, your kindness will not be forgotten."
Marcy smiles, and bows down. As she stands upright, her face goes blank, and her eyes close.
Marcy furows her brow, and concentrates on the presence of Que'eldi. She stands motionless for several minutes.
Marcy opens her eyes with a small grin, not noticing the shaman wandering away.
You say “He is near, I see the path I must take.”
Marcy faces north, and without warning, breaks into a joyous sprint.

The first dance of the Orwhan Spirit Dancers:

Nokomis says “This is for you FIRE| to help celebrate your game birthday”

Caranae steps forward and eyes everyone. She looks around and finally finds a clearing big enough to satisfy her. She nods to her companion.

Nokomis finds a large enough rock to use as a seat. She pulls a pack from over her shoulders and slides out a pair of drums. Placing them between her legs she makes herself comfortable.

Nokomis begins to hit the drums with the palms of her hands. The noise fills the air and her eyes begin to glow a bright silver.

Caranae pulls the cord of her tigerpelt cloak and wiggles her shoulders as she slides the garment off of her and onto the ground. She moves her hips back and forth slowly to the beat.

Caranae begins to move her feet in time. Small seashell anklets clack together as she does, interacting with the drums and making the beat more hypnotic.

Nokomis grins as she sees Caranae pull her ritual dagger from her belt. She continues the rhythm and glances about.

Caranae lifts her ritual dagger and mumbles an ancient ritual as her hips sway and her feet shift with the drums.
You perform a short invocation ritual and fail to summon any spirits. Perhaps there aren't any nearby.
You perform a short invocation ritual and fail to summon any spirits. Perhaps there aren't any nearby.

Caranae sighs a little as she is unable to summon a spirit to her. She turns towards Swarm with a wicked grin on her face.

Caranae dances her way towards the man and stares into his eyes. The clacking of her shells making his head numb. Her eyes glow silver and she begins to pull a smokey substance from Swarm.

Nokomis gives a short laugh as a spirit appears in the clearing. She speeds up the banging of the drums.

Caranae smiles at the spirt moving her arms within it, shifting her feet as she moves her entire body within it.
You say “Please assist me for a short time. We need your essence for the dance of the elements.”

Nokomis mouths "elements?" and then rolls her eyes. She switches up the tempo on the drums, making the beats further apart. The noise appears to be almost airy, rather then the heavy resonating sound.

Caranae slides her body through the spirit. She pokes her fingertip with her dagger before placing it back on her belt. Blood wells to the surface and Caranae's eyes glow silver as she concentrates.

Caranae makes a small trail of smoke rise from her tiny wound, balling it up in her fist as she dances through the spirit. The spirit becoming visible as the smoke from her hand mixes with the ether.”

Nokomis watches the spirit become visual smoke, pulsing and flying about Caranae with the breeze. She picks up the pace of the drums.

Caranae licks her lips slightly as she moves her legs faster with the drumbeat. She stomps her feet on the ground and writhes her arms in the air, moving and pulling at the drifting smoke.

Caranae snaps her fingers as she moves past the spirit-smoke. It quickly becomes a tiny twister moving around her as she continues her dance.

Caranae snaps her fingers again and the twister pulses silver. The smoke appears to work its way into a thread of light which Caranae becons over to her as she sways her body.

Nokomis steadies the tempo, making the tone more dark and mysterious as she changes the palm beats on the drum sides.

Caranae 's arms move in a cadence all their own, lifting them above her head. She intertwines them as the silver thread winds up and down her left and right arm, growing larger as the smoke disappears.

Nokomis watches as the silver thread twists its way down Caranae's torso and down to her rythmically swaying hips. She pounds the drums faster, forcing the beat.

Caranae shakes her hips double to the beat. Her feet pick up speed and her anklets add their noise to the hypnotic music.

Caranae pulls the silver thread with her hand as the smokey spirit finally disappears entirly into it. She twirls the light, balling up the thread quickly and sliding it up her body and into her grasp.

Nokomis begins to tap one of her own feet on the ground as she keeps the low booming beat on the drums. The noise from her added note gets louder and makes the rhythm more complicated.

Caranae holds the ball of light in front of her with both hands as she moves her way towards Lt. Commander Fire|. Her hips keep up the doubled beat and her feet move in complicated patterns.

Caranae sways her hips in front of Fire|, turning her back to him. She arcs backward and holds the ball of light in front of his face, grinning wickedly at him from upside down.

Nokomis begins to slow the pounding drums. Her eyes glow in anticipation as she adds a more complicated beat to the dance.

Caranae lays the ball of light in Fire|'s lap and pulls herself up from her near backbend. Her whole body moves more slowly as she clacks out a counterbeat to the drums.

Caranae sways her arms and hips in oposition as she almost encircles Fire|. The silver ball takes the appearance of flames in his lap as, without touching, Caranae slides her arms around his head.

Caranae moves her way slowly around to the back of Fire| and she pulls the silver flames with her. The fire grows as she lifts her arms about his head and calls it up his body.

Nokomis slows the rhythm further, making the low booming drum echo through the air. She smiles as she sees the fire consume the man in heatless flames.

Nokomis waits for the flames to engulf Lt. Commander Firel entirely before she pounds her heavy drum loudly in a last resonating tone. The rhythm stopping completely, leaving the mountain top in silence.

Caranae snaps her fingers with the final boom and the fire instantly becomes smoke. She smiles wickedly at Fire| as she moves almost silently around him towards the open area once more.

Caranae begins a slow clanking beat with her feet as she calls the smoke to her with her arms. She nods towards Nokomis.

Nokomis starts another low complex rhythm on the drums. The mixture of the barely audible drums and the slight click of the shells give an impression of rain.

Caranae slowly sways her body, making a wave of her arms, and rolling it down her torso and to her legs. She continues to move her limbs and stomach, seeming to imitate a slow tide.

Caranae lifts the smoke into the air and snaps her fingers. Silver drops fall from the sky, creating a shower of ether. As they hit the ground they become smoke, rise to the air, and fall again.

Nokomis turns the tinkling drum beats into a heavy storm. The ether drops become fewer and fewer as they cycle through. Soon she is hitting the drums in a loud resonating rhythm.

Nokomis smiles as the sound of the drums take on a heartbeat quality. Piercing the body and making the blood react. Her eyes glow as she looks around at those present.

Caranae makes her body heavy as the silver drops hit the ground for the last time. She crouches and begins to slam her feet. With each hit of her foot a silvery tree springs to life from the ground.

Caranae dances low among the trees as they become a miniture forest in the clearing. Each tree only half the size of a grown man.

Nokomis slows the drums, keeping them low and dark.

Caranae stalks among the trees. She finds the spot where her tigerpelt cloak had fallen and she works her way towards it.

Caranae picks up her cloak and wraps it around her, sitting on the ground.

Nokomis allows the beat to get slower and slower as the trees of the spirit forest die off one by one. The drums come to a complete stop.

Caranae pulls a gourd from inside her pelt and holds it up. The silvery smoke quickly sucks inside as she corks the gourd and sighs.

Nokomis places her drums back in her pack and sits down next to the dancer. She eyes the gourd.

Understanding of the Spirits

Beach
A lot of sand, with the odd bit of driftwood, some shells and stones. The sound of the waves soothes you.
Drawn in the sand is some writing. It reads “all the 321 Rules for Dating my eenage Native Princess Daughter.”
There is a hole here.

Marcy stops at the ocean, confused.
You say “I know I'm following the right path. But I see no land in the distance.”
Marcy sits in the sand, and crosses her legs. She closes her eyes, and focuses on Que'eldi's presence.
Marcy waits a few minutes, and then stands again. "It is worth the risk. Movak will find me again if I fall."
Marcy hesitates a moment, and then dives into the cold ocean water.
Marcy arrives to the shore, and collapes for exhaustion.

Marcy… your aether is unique… you are destined to be… to be… an Orwhan.  I am waiting for you…

Marcy wakes up in the sand, a crab walking sideways by her head.
Marcy gets hereself up, and closes her eyes. She tries to focus on the presence of Que'eldi, and it is not hard to do. "I am very close to him now."
Marcy walks into the grassland, and starts heading east, towards the smell of swamp.
Marcy look into the swamp, and sees it is infected with aligators. "Good. I will not have to wait long to meet you, Que'eldi!"
Marcy count's the alligators in view. 8. She will not make it far.
Marcy steps back, and then jumps into the swamp, making her way to the center.
Marcy smiles. She is surrounded by 20 alligators, and sits in the swamp, eyes closed.
You say “Que'eldi, I feel you more then even in my dreams. Show me the ways of the Orwhan, and let me feel the aether.”

The alligator causes a nasty wound which starts bleeding. You need healing herbs to heal the wound.
An alligator attacks you for 3 damage.
An alligator attacks you for 3 damage.
An alligator bites you for 3 damage.

An alligator attacks you for 3 damage.
An alligator bites you for 3 damage.
An alligator attacks you for 3 damage. You die.

Marcy holds her eyes shut, feeling herself sink down to the bottom of the murky swamp.  She feels a sense of panic for a moment before realizing that her body is still floating at the surface.  She opens her eyes, and sees the spirit of Que’eldi standing before her.
Marcy bows down, and says, “Que’eldi!  I have followed your presence here, so I may follow in your teachings!”
Marcy feels Que’eldi’s hand on her spiritual body’s shoulder, and so stands.  He says, “Marcy, many Orwhan’s called this swamp home.  The presence of their aether still lingers here.  Focus on the aether in this place, and call to your home shaman.  When you return to your body, you will know what to do.”
Marcy nods, and closes her eyes.

Using all your concentration you telepathically contact Najdam, the shaman at Raktam, who summons your spirit to him.
As your spirit is pulled from your current location, to that of Najdam, everything goes dark.
Your surroundings come back into view and you find that magically you have been brought back to life by Najdam, and your wound healed. You lie still for a while as your strength returns.
You stand up and gather all your equipment together.

Marcy smiles. "Najdam, you are so good to me. Thank you for returning me to my body.  However, there's one more thing I would like from you."
Marcy whispers in Najdam's ear, and then steps back, hopeful.
Marcy watches Najdam as he thinks her request over, and then nods calmly. "I will help you become an Orwhan.”
Marcy has a small smile across her face, and then starts to meditate. After a few minutes, Najdam starts to feel his blood pumping faster, and there is an energy to it.
Marcy stands, and holds Najdam's arm, feeling the aether flowing through his blood. She grabs her knife, and attempts to make a small puncture in his skin.
You attack Najdam with a knife for 2 damage. They drop to 98 HP.
Marcy quickly sucks a little of Najdam's blood, and then falls to the ground. Suddenly scared, she runs away from the shaman, looking for someplace to hide.
You step inside.
Marcy finds the hut empty, and curls up in a ball, and sleeps.

The Turning of Akiak

((We are standing in the Orwhan sacred swamps East of Raktam where the sound of humid swamp wind can almost be heard whispering the name: Orwhan. ))

Nokomis says “According to the Orwhan lore of the past most Orwhans will have had you drink their blood to turn you. Since Caranae and I are Spirit Dancers we can manipulate the aether from the spirits themselves.”
Nokomis says “We do not make inferior Orwhans by using our blood but the aether from the pure spiritual form of our Elder Que'eldi himself .”
Nokomis says “This was how Caranae and I were made Orwhan. ”

Caranae shifts on the sand and her eyes open. She gets to her feet and dusts herself off a bit.
Caranae begins to walk towards the swamp. She looks back and lifts an arm calling everyone to follow.

Nokomis says “Akiak. Follow me. Say nothing or do anything.”

Caranae says “I believe it is here. Let me see...”
Caranae circles the area looking for something. She stops at an unusual shaped rock and smiles. Closing her eyes, she lifts her arms and her tigerpelt cloak falls to the ground.

Nokomis 's eyes glow silver as she heads to the rock formation in the middle of the swamp. She breaths deeply and sighs happily before seating herself there.

Caranae says “In the name of Que'eldi and the elders that came before us, we present you another who seeks the path of the aether. We ask for your assistance in making this Eaa one of ours.”
Caranae bows towards the rock and a strange wind picks up.

Nokomis laughs loudly as the wind gathers and lifts her hair. She pulls her drums from her sack and gets into position, a low beat blending with the shifting breeze.

Caranae turns her attention to Akiak. "You have proven yourself in battle against the many toothed enemy of the swamp, Eaa. Now is time to prove you can handle the power of the ancestors."
Caranae slams a foot to the ground, her seashell anklet clacking loudly. She does a slow deliberate march around the rock, slowly rocking her hips back and forth as she picks up speed.

Nokomis 's face becomes serious as her palms hammer out a loud and complex tempo. A heartbeat fills the swamp and the clouds begin to cover the sky.
Nokomis says “Spirits who have tasted life of their own. Spirits who withstand time. Spirits who brought forth our brethren. Be here now and sing with us. ”

Caranae stops in front of the rock and turns towards Akiak. She lifts her arms into the air and the breeze shifts. A sudden noise can be heard from the rock behind her.

Nokomis 's eyes flash silver as the low hum mixes with the drum beats. The heartbeat grows louder as she adds another pulse to the rhythm.

Caranae knocks her hips back and forth in time to the steady beat. Her feet slapping out a counter rhythm in the mud. Her arms intertwine as she arcs her back.
Caranae rolls her upper body slowly, her hips and feet keeping the beat as she begins to turn in a circle.

Nokomis 's head turns to the side as she feels the success of their mission. She smiles at the spirits that begin to form around the new Eaa.

Caranae moves her way over to Akiak. Her eyes glow an unearthly bright silver as she stands before him, nothing but her hips keeping the dance alive.
Caranae says “They have come, but are you able to accept their gifts? Dance with me Eaa...”
Caranae puts her hands next to Akiak's head and her whole body comes to life with the heartbeat rhythm again.

Nokomis starts to increase the pace. Her eyes now unusually bright, certainly not human.

Caranae shakes her hands as she moves them up and down the Eaa in front of her. Never touching, but leaving behind the sense that many laid their hands upon his being.
Caranae twists into limbs breaking angles as she seems to pull the air around Akiak. Smoke rises and falls as a mist begins to cover the entire area.

Nokomis watches the mist as it forms becomes more solid around the dancer and the Eaa she had found. She lets out another loud laugh and increases the tempo once more.

Caranae untwists slowly as she pulls silver threads of light from everywhere around her. Each movement of her body brings another silver strand into the mix.
Caranae lovingly twines the threads into her fingers as she slides her arms up her body. She makes her way over to Nokomis.

Akiak slowly yet smoothly stands to face his fellow Orwhan.

Nokomis slams a resounding note into the air as she stops the drums altogether. She takes a deep breath as Caranae holds the threads out in front of her.
Nokomis puts aside her drums and grabs the threads. She makes her way over to Akiak.

Caranae 's eyes flash silver as she sits down next to the rock. She closes them slowly and goes into a meditative state.

Nokomis grabs and holds Akiak's head in her hands. With eyes flashing silver and in a whispery voice she says..."This is going to hurt. I hope you can take it."
Nokomis lifts the hand with the silver threads towards the Eaa's open mouth.
Nokomis shoves the threads down the man's throat and steps back as she watches him writhe and wretch on the ground.
Nokomis smiles as she sees the silver light spread through his body, moving up and down with his blood and making him almost transparent.
Nokomis says “If you can survive you will see a new world. I hope I was right about you.”
Nokomis goes and sits by Caranae and starts to meditate...waiting for Akiak's change into an Orwhan.

Akiak eyes snap open, a bright silver glow coming from them. He slowly stands, slowly making his way to Nokomis and Caranae.
Akiak lifts his right palm to his left shoulder. "Ay, Sister Nokomis. Ay, Sister Caranae."

Caranae stands and lifts her right palm to her left shoulder. "Ay, Brother Akiak."

Nokomis lifts her right palm to her left shoulder. "Ay, Brother Akiak.”
Nokomis hands Akiak a beautiful dagger with a copper hilt. “May you use this dagger well."
You give a dagger to Akiak.

Dance of the Shargle:

Caranae stands and looks around at those gathered. "Hmmmm I suppose I should chose someone then."
Caranae walks around and sniffs the air near many heads. She stops before Hobo Vampire and smirks. "You will do, my sweet smelling Eoo."

Nokomis settles herself on a nearby rock and pulls her drums out of her pack. She smiles at everyone.
Nokomis A tribute to the loveable predatory creatures that stalk the mountain tops and the high jungles.
Nokomis begins a low beat on the drums, occasionally tapping the side loudly to add a high pitch.

Caranae slides her tiger pelt cloak to the ground next to the drummer and moves her way to the center of the clearing.
Caranae begins lightly tapping her feet in a chaotic tempo, the seashell anklets clacking together wildly creating a clash with the drums.

Nokomis begins to almost drum roll her fingers on the sides between her heart thumping bangs on the drums.

Caranae slides her way over to Hobo Vampire and places a fingertip on his lips. She gets close and stares him in the eyes.
Caranae 's eyes flash silver and Hobo's eyes follow suit as a thin wisp of smoke forms between them.

Nokomis quickens the low beats. She begins slamming one foot to the dry ground adding to the rhythm.

Caranae pulls at the smoke between herself and Hobo and glides backwards with it as her hips begin to shake.
Caranae throws her arms in the air pulling the smoke tight around her as she begins to turn. The smoke becomes a silver thread as she spins faster and faster.
Caranae hunches forward as the thread wraps around her torso. The silver light follows the form of her body and disappears in her now crouched position.

Nokomis slams one last hard beat and begins a frenzied tap to the rims of the drums.

Caranae unfolds and thrust her arms before her, in her hands a silver and pulsing shargle egg rests.
Caranae turns a few more times as she pulls her arm back and throws the shargle egg to her partner.

Nokomis stops her drumming just long enough to catch the spirit egg. She places it in the middle of the larger drum and begins her heart pumping throbs again.
Nokomis begins a dance all her own, standing next to the drums and slapping the sides with one hand as she hits the center of the large drum with the other.

Caranae falls to the ground, her movements becoming predatory as she watches the egg that bounces on the drums and makes her way towards it.
Caranae slides her way across the clearing, occasionally allowing one foot to hammer a beat into the ground, the clacking fitting with the beat this time.

Nokomis turns as she claps her hands a few times and hits the drums, making the shargle egg jump wildly with every pulse.
Nokomis rolls the egg around her arms between hits the egg growing in brightness with every passing second.
Nokomis throws her head back and laughs as the shargle egg begins to crack and shake violently.

Caranae watches as the egg bursts apart, a shining silver shargle standing atop the drums in its place.
Caranae pounces at the shargle as the shargle leaps from the drums and towards the crouching dancer.

Nokomis seats herself as she begins a fast frantic clapping of the drums, a high pitched cacophony.

Caranae wrestles on the ground with the shargle for a moment. As she gains her feet she begins shaking her hips and marking steps around the steadily growing beast.

Nokomis whistles for a second and a wisp of smoke separates from the creature and comes towards her.
Nokomis keeps time with one hand as she grabs at the smoke with the other. In the blink of an eye she holds high a heavy sword.
Nokomis tosses the sword towards Caranae.

Caranae turns and catches the sword, the tip falling to the ground as she stands face to face with the shargle.
Caranae begins a death dance with the beast moving with it as she thrust the sword and dodges fangs and claws
Caranae winces as a claw scraps against her arm, blood welling up from the spot it struck. She swings wide with the heavy sword and chops the creature in half.

Nokomis slows the beat, the low pulse from the beginning returns.

Caranae snaps her fingers and the sword returns to smoke. The smoke of the now dead shargle and the sword mingle and glow.
Caranae falls to the ground as the smoke quickly takes on the likeness of a monstrous sized shargle, its maw wide as it bends to swallow the dancers.

Nokomis lets loose one last resonating blast as the jaws of the beast devour the two in the clearing. The smoke rising as the shargle loses its form.

((OOC))This is the Harvest Dance that Caranae and I just finished. We did it in both native and outsider language when appropriate but here it is so each could see what the other could not if they did not have the language skill.

HARVEST DANCE done at Oktoberfest

Caranae glances at the few brew vendors that have gathered and the couple guards on duty. Her eyes glaze over a bit and she yawns.
Caranae says “Nokomis, I think it is time to liven things up a bit.”

Nokomis smiles and shifts through her pack. She pulls out a small sack and drags a bottle of berry wine from it, handing it to Caranae.

Caranae uncorks the gourd and takes a deep breath. "Wow, you managed to save some of illusions for this did you?"

Nokomis chuckles and takes out her drums, pulling an alligator leather strap to tie around it, she straps the smaller drum to one hip.
Nokomis slings a smaller sack over her shoulder as she stands.

Caranae pulls off her tiger pelt cloak and folds it neatly on the ground. She stands with the gourd of wine brandished in her hands.
Caranae clears her throat and then releases her voice in a loud clear alto, "To all the farmers, brewers and barkeeps, I give a salute."
Caranae says “Despite the torrents and raging fires, you maintain the integrity of your crops and drinks! CHEERS!”
Caranae lifts the gourd of berry wine to her lips, taking a long, deep draught. The empty gourd falls to the ground.

Nokomis begins to clap and smack her body in a rhythmic fashion. Occasionally she hits the drum on her hip as she begins an impressive body beat.

Caranae throws her head back and blows into the air. A large smoke cloud forms from her mouth, dark red in color. Silver fleck pulse within it as she finishes.
Caranae pulls at the smoke with both hands as she sways her hips. Flames leap up at touch as the smoke flashes red and white.

Nokomis turns in a tight circle as she continues to play the beats on her legs.

Caranae twists her arms as she bends backwards, avoiding the flames as she continues to pull the smoke. As the flames subside she folds the substance into a basket and smiles.

Nokomis says “In the spring, the eggs of fertility are handled by the young girls. In the summer the flowers by the maidens. The autumn fruits given by the mature. ”
Nokomis winks. "I suppose Caranae could be called 'mature' although she is just a little git if you ask me..."

Caranae glares over at Nokomis while she shifts the basket to her side and starts walking towards the vendors and guards. "Just play your music and hush, hag."

Nokomis giggles in spite of herself and follows behind the haughty girl. She continues with her body beat, while following behind.

Caranae walks up to Cu'ki Kruh'sha she sways her hips and turns a few times, putting her hand into the basket she pulls out a puff of smoke.
Caranae twists her wrist and the smoke fades and shifts, turning into an apple. She hands the apple to Cu'ki and continues on. The apple disappearing before she makes it to the next person.

Nokomis winks slyly at Cu'ki as she produces an apple from the sack over her shoulder. She doesn't miss a beat as she rolls the apple down her arm and flicks it to them with her elbow.
Nokomis gives an apple to Cu'ki Kruh'sha .

Caranae moves towards Otyr preforming a short dance with her hips as she turns and holds out a banana. This too disappears in a poof of smoke.

Nokomis whispers loudly to Otyr as she passes, discreetly handing them a real banana, "Seems I was right, only a mature woman can handle real ripe fruit."

Caranae stops for a second and looks over her shoulder. She sees nothing amiss as

Nokomis begins to stomp her feet a bit more, swinging her own hips to smack the drum against her thigh as she digs in her pack looking for berries.
Nokomis sighs when she finally finds them and hands them to Iwashere. Continuing the rhythm she scoots after Caranae.
Nokomis gives give a bunch of tasty berries to Iwashere .

Caranae shifts her gaze towards Paddy MacManus, she throws her basket to the ground and it explodes in a burst of smoke. Sliding her way through the smoke she makes her way towards him.

Nokomis pulls an apple from her pack and grins wickedly as she tosses it over Caranae's head and into the lap of Paddy.
Nokomis gives give an apple to Paddy MacManus .

Caranae wraps the remaining smoke around her arms as she shakes her hips and heads to Skuzz. She bends backwards as she begins to form the smoke. She hands Skuzz a coconut.
Caranae watches as the man looks a bit confused. She smiles and turns toward
Nokomis, crossing her arms as a smug smile plays on her lips.

Nokomis laughs and stops her body beat. "So you knew, huh?"
Nokomis walks over to Skuzz and hands him a banana. She winks.
Nokomis gives give a banana to Skuzz .
Nokomis says “"Don't worry, Eoo, you probably need more practice with this then with the coconuts." ” in the outsider language.

Caranae 's eyes grow wide when she hears Nokomis. "I sure hope you haven't been saying things while handing out fruit..."

Nokomis beams an innocent smile at her partner. She turns and walks back to their seat on the ground.

Caranae bows her head a little. "I am sorry for my partner's rude behavior." She follows Nokomis back to their seats.
