I have a pretty good feeling that no one is currently at the waterfall, and hasn't been there for days, and seeing as there's now an announcement in game about it, any pre-start deaths will be intentional and really really uncool.

Besides, we fear lightning. The wrath of the ancients can be fearsome!
Outsiders don't fear such things FAD! Not all of us embrace the natives old fairy tales. Just be aware, the last time there was a major smiting incident... it was the Outsiders that were vaporized. It was shocking! Wasn't the last time the ancients acted out when they decimated your throne? No. The last time there was a smiting, it was because a group of folks killed before an event started. The Greater Shartak Unification Coalition killed most of the participants, using XP->AP conversion, before the Battle of the Crazy Falls. The ancients revived the dead, and incinerated the GSUC members with lightning. So, we won't do that, since lightning hurts. But the Peninsula Federation will actively interfere in this bloodbath in order to minimise carnage promised to its citizens by these bloodthirsty mob.

Good job on the ancients part! The Federation won't leave Derby just to get a head start on this. We'll be waiting, watching, expecting participants to come. We'll be ready.

Quick question, and this may sound stupid. If a kill is made inside a resource hut, I assume you mean only the trading, medical or weapon huts not just the normal nothing huts, how can you tell from a screen shot that it is in a particular village / town?
Oh and do the victims need to be from that place where you killed them? For instance say I killed a native on the Shipwreck or a chap from Wiksik in Dalpok would that count?
Im nerding out over this, sorry.

You make a good point. If you did kill them in the trader hut you would have the name of the trader to prove which town you were in. I would also think you would have to kill someone from that town/villiage.

Sorry Milkchew, I spaced on answering you...
Yes, a kill inside a resource hut means it has to be inside a trading, medical or weapons hut. I don't have a way to tell where the hut is from the screenshot except if there are known members of the town on the screenshot. Therefore it has to be on the honor system.
There's no restriction on who you need to kill in each village. We don't discriminate. You can kill whoever you like.
Jhonka, you're not too late. I'll add you to the contestant list.

...but I do so if there is any question of cheating it can be verified quite quickly.

It shows the name of the Trader or Tamdal in the game screen, therefore you can figure out which camp or village you are in.

It won't work for the Med & Weapons Huts... but as Simon mentioned (THANKS SIMON!!!) cheaters will be flogged in the village square.

So, will a no-kill zone be in place 48 hours before the contest as per the rules? I'd rather not show up just to get killed by a random fellow, or have to hang around a short distance away where any PK'er can comb and kill me.
