I, personally, would have a set of volunteers and give those names out to the people in the contest. Have those run and hide and get hunted down. The person that gets the most kills by the end of the allotted time would be the winner.
That is a kick idea for a contest, like global hide-in-go-seek. I would definitely participate as one of the hunted with, say, Tinxiweewee. Maybe just add a rule like no deep water. Sweet. I am / was semi in the process of organising something similar to this idea. Although mine was a hunt / treasure hunt, I ran a few things past Simon to see if certain aspects are possible......but alas I got busy at work so it all took a back step, but im still thinking about it. It would be an interactive hunt, where you could speak with certain characters, was gonna use a few of my alts. You would have to collect certain items, give them to certain people, kill certain animals / people etc etc etc, similar to a Zelda kind of thing. It would be wise to leave it until after Anthor`s contest though.........mainly because I havnt sorted the details yet and the other reason being I wouldnt want to take anything away from this contest, and lose participants in mine.

FAD is out. The Peninsula Federation is going to vigorously defend this, and I'm thinking it might be more fun to be be the batter than the pitcher.

Aww, seriously? The competition is not against Derby.

* Brenner quirks a brow at the yammering a single stop along the contest could muster. "My, I'd hate to see what would happen if they actually had something worthwhile to do." OOC: To supplement the 48 hours of no-killing contestants, could we have the spot where we will start the contest as a Sacred Space? I don't think there would be much of an argument for having that spot kill-free for 48 hours before September 15th at 11:59 GMT and 24 hours after, as per the contest rules.

Updated the Shipwreck Kill rules to be: "2 Kills, inside the Shipwreck or the Trader's Hut", as Simon reminded me that there's no village boundary up there.
No Kill Zone is a cool idea, but I don't believe it's necessary... I don't think we have any major bampots to spoil the start.

I can think of an overzealous Federation that might want to throw a cog in the opening ceremonies, along with folks who don't go to the forum and yet frequent the waterfall. It's kind of a landmark.
Also, there's not always a pirate at the Trader's hut at Shipwreck.

There are also plenty of goons that use the forums for intel but otherwise contribute nothing in-game or out. My alts get offed by them all the time. If I get killed by a poacher I won't be too upset, as long as I can sit there for kick-off as a spirit. It'll be a drawn-out contest, so hopefully a couple deaths at the start won't be a huge handicap.

Now now, one can never be too zealous when defending their town.

Added another rule:
6) No using your friends, enemies, Alts, shargles, Spirits or anything else to soften up your victims. You must complete the kill all on your own.

Brilliant idea! I like the way you think, my good man! There's always an opening for you at a desk in the Foreign Office of the Peninsula Federation! In order not to spoil the fun, we won't kill anyone before the kick-off. Besides, we fear lightning. The wrath of the ancients can be fearsome!
