The continuing saga of one POWERFUL native village.
The Royal Court of Greater Raktam works hard to preserve what is theirs, what they have learned and their collective future.
Nestled in the robust jungles of Shartak, this is their story.

A beautiful morning in Raktam

You say “I have to goto a meeting in Wiksik, Etherdrifter of the Necromancers has requested a talk.”
You say “he respected my words, so I will in turn respect his request.”

monaliza smiles and stretches before crawling out of the warm bed.
monaliza slowly picks up her clothes and starts to dress, her smooth tan body moves gracefully as the morning sunshine dances on her flesh.

You say “could you please tell the Royal Court that I shall be in Wiksik at the Spirit Hut for 2 moons time ?”

monaliza wiggles into her backpack and slips on a pair of red shoes.

You say “ You are beautiful, funny, smart and a wonderful person.”
You say “I will be back soon, please take care and know I would not be leaving you here, unless I had to.”
You say “and I have to.”

monaliza opens the top of her shirt and untangles a silver skull cross from inside her blouse.

You give a silver skull cross to *a court member*.

You say “please wear this to protect you from things that are not seen.”

monaliza smiles and looks towards the door where her attendants are patiently waiting for her.

You say “I shall return soon and thank you again.”

~It was a long, early morning walk to Wiksik. The sun was bright and the birds were singing. It was a simple and uneventful journey.~

At The Spirit Hut in Wiksik

monaliza enters with her attendants following her and carrying an impressive amount of trunks, baggage and a small throne.
monaliza directs them to an empty corner then turns to face the group of loyal necromancers.

You say “good afternoon. I have come here to speak with Etherdrifter. Is he here?”

monaliza looks up, "or is he there?"

monaliza takes a few steps towards the rapidly filling corner and sits down in her small, stone seat. One of the younger female attendants does not leave her side and offers her a fancy, inlaid gourd.
monaliza takes the vessel from the girl and takes a few sips. Her face lightens and a smile appears. "I do love mango juice after a long walk. Thank you," she says as she hands the gourd back.
monaliza notices Mortis in the crowd and nods to him.

You say “I am here to speak with your leader and I would appreciate not being molested in any way while I am here or in your quaint town.”

monaliza watches her tallest attendant runs in through the doorway, stop briefly then rush over to her and start whispering in her ear.
monaliza listens closely as her gaze is unbroken from the crowd infront of her.
monaliza slips out of her shoes and they are retrieved before the touch the rug-covered floor, placed in an open trunk at the rear of her seat.

The Shadow kills garala with a cutlass.

The Shadow bows to the Raktami Queen. "My apologies your majesty, just dealing with some unfinished business."

monaliza smiles and send a couple of her attendants to help clean up the mess.

You say “here, The Shadow, only the laws of The Guild are enacted and respected. ”

monaliza nods with a smile to The Shadow .
monaliza sits up straighter as her afternoon meal is served to her by a pair of very tall and handsome men.
monaliza watches, her mouth watering at the meal of freshly roasted tiger served with mango chutney, slices of freshly baked banana- wheat bread and kelp-wrapped berry custard.

You say “the grassland to the nw are ripe with delicious, nutty grain." She smiles to her three, giggling attendants, "they had quite a fun time harvesting them on our way here."

~Monaliza patiently observes the active Spirit Hut as she awaits the Guild Master.~

In speaking with Etherdrifter at the Spirit Hut in Wiksik

Etherdrifter  materialises in a flash of black lightning

Etherdrifter says “Be welcome to our home, scion of Raktam.”
Etherdrifter grins

Etherdrifter says “On what matter would the queen of raktam come to speak?”

Etherdrifter performs a successful exorcism ritual and casts 1 spirit outside and away from here.
Etherdrifter says “//Misclicks!”

Etherdrifter performs a successful invocation ritual and summons 1 spirit.
Etherdrifter performs a successful invocation ritual and summons 2 spirits.

Etherdrifter says “Apologies to the spirit there”

Etherdrifter takes a seat on a dusty chair before a desk

monaliza giggles under her breath.

You say “hello Etherdrifter, nice to see you again.”

monaliza directs her attendants to present the Guild Master with gifts from Raktam.
You give a bottle of fungi juice to Etherdrifter .
You give a silver skull cross to Etherdrifter .
You give a wild boar tusk necklace to Etherdrifter .

You say “I believed you asked for an emmersary and I am not keen on other people speaking for me.”

Etherdrifter says “Indeed I did call for an emmersary of the court to appear. Since your actions towards necromancers in Raktam were intolerable.”
Etherdrifter tilts his head
Etherdrifter says “The guild is aware there was a clash of laws, however to threaten every guild member in raktam with death?”
Etherdrifter taps his chin
Etherdrifter hands mona a gourd of fresh water
Etherdrifter gives you a gourd of water.
Etherdrifter says “Please do give me your side of the story?”

You say “you are not my judge, and I came here to be heard, not to just speak.”
You say “would you care to entertain that concept while I am here, Lich?”
You say “and thank you for reanimating for my arrival.”

monaliza nods respectfully to Etherdrifter and motions her head attendant take the gifted-gourd of water.
Etherdrifter grins

Etherdrifter says “I am intending to listen, but first we need to bury this matter. I am sure your motives were just and thus I wish to hear them.”
Etherdrifter says “It is for the record of guild history.”

monaliza looks around at the 14 + people standing and sitting around them. She looks up. "Indeed".
You say “I, unlike your impressive enclave, do not feel that setting "rules" is the top priority. It never has been. I enjoy sharing the concepts of Natural Law.”
monaliza smiles. "It is not to say I do not respect your, because I do. And your chosen lifestyles do require a certain amount of 'common ground' communication.
You say “so my problem, was not breaking rules as much as it was a lack of respect, on multible occasions and concerning different matters.”
monaliza whispers loudly to Etherdrifter, "I have no problem with you or your guild, I have a problem with how they choose to communicate with me."

You say “I believe I had contacted you a while back concerning the behavour of Mortis.”
monaliza points to the man in the dark corner.
You say “you basically said that you stood behind any and all of his actions and that my communication with you concerning him and the matter was un-needed.”
monaliza sits back and reclines in her travel-throne.

You say “so, after I had had enough of being treated poorly and without respect, I eradicated it.”
monaliza looks at Etherdrifter and continues.
You say “or maybe I will not go on. I would like to know if you understand where I am coming from.”

monaliza takes a small, hand-sized, painted gourd and pops the top off. She raises it to her lips and sips throught the creative straw, made from swamp reeds. She gazes upon Etherdrifter as she drinks.

Mortis says “mona, good day. Hopefully our future encounters will be under better circumstances than those of recent times.”
Mortis says “richardskull, you've made it back. Of course, your trip was much faster than mine.”
Mortis says “You could say I'm somewhat envious of that, heh.”
Mortis says “ziggy! It has been quite some time since last I saw you, as well as most of you.”

monaliza eyes Mortis once again and nods in his direction.

Etherdrifter says “In the guild we do not hide things, no-one is above the law. Not even I. If you can indicate where mortis broke guild law then the guild will be happy to punish him.”

You say “I guess I have to say it again.”

Mortis says “And most importantly, it has been far too long since I stood before you, Etherdrifter. Inform me of any nuisances in Wiksik and I'll eliminate them at once. Costner still a nuisance around here?”

Etherdrifter says “Otherwise I cannot punish him. His actions, the execution of one who broke guild law, were valid. Nylar fled to your throne room seeking to avoid his fate.”

You say “I was not treated with respect. I do not like the way your members have spoken and acted towards me.”

Etherdrifter motions mortis to silence

monaliza rolls her eyes a bit, then stops when she sees she is being watched closely.

You say “this isnt a rule, it is a common courtesy. I am NOT looking for punishment.”
You say “you asked me here, Etherdrifter. I came because I care about our relationship and neighboring worlds.”

Mortis gladly obeys his leader.

You say “I am not looking for anything except to be able to look to the future with a mutual respect for ourselves, each other and every single person who dwells within our kingdoms.”

Etherdrifter grins, nodding slowly
Etherdrifter says “Then we shall have to lay down such foundations.”
Etherdrifter says “For respect was clearly lacking, indeed it is why so many have gathered to this place.”
Etherdrifter rises up
Etherdrifter says “My suggestion is guild law becomes accepted within raktam. A rather simple concept that merely protects your spirits.”
Etherdrifter says “In exchange an addition is added to the laws with concern to raktam, that a criminal may petition the queen and she may grant pardon.”

You say “that will not work for me, however I do appreciate such a self-fulfilling passion.”

Etherdrifter says “The accused must make the petition clearly and the guild must be informed that is has been made (to avoid accidents)”

You say “I do not like rules that allow and control.”

Etherdrifter tilts his head and traces a small circle to indicate all in the room
Etherdrifter says “Then please do make your suggestion to the guild, queen of raktam.”

You say “I would like for people to think and act accordingly. I will also never group together persons who have been overly-disrespectful.”
You say “why does it have to be so finite? Your rules are for the time, but time is always changing and morphing into something else.”
You say “we all learn as we grow and that changes everything. We need to own our actions and take responsibility for our words. I do not think we need law for that.”

monaliza takes a round, elephant skin pillow into her lap and hug it within her arms.

Etherdrifter listens on, eyes glittering with ethereal fire, whether from malice, interest or amusement one cannot say

You say “I did not come here to dictate the future or stint or people. I came here to bond with you in an effort to help our path flow together for future generations.”
You say “I am not ready to accept your rules and you wont accept mine. But I do feel that we both hold within our hearts, the abilty to respect each other and our separate ways.”
You say “how many ages of man have we both existed here?" as she smiles. "We are both doing something right, we all are."

Etherdrifter looks up, idly arching his fingers
Etherdrifter says “Respect between one another is important, however the very meaning of respect is to restrict one's behaviour.”
Etherdrifter says “In this place, at this time, you have not been requested to bow before any of us. Nor do we offer this to you. To us, this is respect.”
Etherdrifter says “Our laws exist for several purposes. Firstly to proect those of us not involved in neferious actions, though I will gladly admit that some necromancers are.”
Etherdrifter points up to the spirits drifting around the room
Etherdrifter says “Our laws also protect them.”
Etherdrifter says “The spirits of the island, our greatest and most treasured allies.”
Etherdrifter says “Respect would dictate such allies of ours, our members in many cases, were not cast out. Nor called from their homes to be cast out.”
Etherdrifter says “The foundation of the guild rests on this, and thus if raktam wishes our respect it must return the favour.”
Etherdrifter says “None here are lesser or greater, it is well known I rule with the consent of the guild and only with that consent.”
Etherdrifter says “I am not above it's laws, nor would I ever presume to change them to suit my own purposes.”
Etherdrifter says “So what say you hrm?”
Etherdrifter opens his hands and grins
Etherdrifter says “Can you offer us respect in exchange for our own hrm?”

You say “do you have laws that protect the living ?”

Etherdrifter says “Indeed we do...”

Etherdrifter points to the words caved into the ceiling of the hut and reads aloud
Etherdrifter says “Murder of a guild member is frowned upon by the guild. However, if the guild member was committing a crime then there will be no retribution.”
Etherdrifter says “If the guild member is peaceful and is not violating any law it will be treated similar to a murder within the Spirit Hut and punished accordingly. ”
Etherdrifter turns his gaze to monaliza.
Etherdrifter says “In the past royal court members were considered honourary guild members with respect to these laws.”

You say “as I seem to be now, and thank you.”
You say “you do have a lot of instances of guild members killing each other? You have words just for them.”

Etherdrifter says “Oh if a guild member murders another guild member it is still murder. However if someone murders a non-member then we do not protect them.”
Etherdrifter says “Indeed why should we protect someone who does not follow our laws?”
Etherdrifter says “If a guild member murders someone else then they may take retribution, once per murder. That is the limit the guild allows before we consider it murder.”

You say “ahhh, ok. I see the differences.”
You say “we have no with-in family murders. And therefore, I highly discourage murders in my presence.”
You say “if there is a private matter, it should be dealt with in the same manor. Privately. I will and do tolerate killing in my space if an active murderer is with us. ”
You say “I always ask for words to be spoken, before and after such actions. If anyone witnesses a murder, they have the right to know why their space was violated.”
You say “I think we have the same concepts, just different ways of doing it.”

Etherdrifter nods indeed we do
Etherdrifter holds out a scroll to mona
You hear Etherdrifter whisper “http://wiki.shartak.com/index.php/NG#Guild_Law”
Etherdrifter says “A copy of our laws, so that in future our dealings are on friendlier terms.”
Etherdrifter says “I do implore you again to reconsider though, and accept our laws as your own. For they will serve you well, and mark raktam as truly enlightened.”

monaliza takes the scroll from Etherdrifter and holds it horizontally in her left hand.
You say “thank you for these. I, however do not judge enlightenment on anything found in a scroll. ”
You say “enlightenment comes from the heart/mind.”
You say “I will read these after I take a stroll around Wiksik. You have some very impressive orchards and I think I spotted a young mango tree on my in.”
You say “I like the smaller fruits, they tend to have more flavour.”

Etherdrifter grins.

monaliza nods her head to Etherdrifter and places the scroll in her lap. "Thank you for your hospitality, words and protection during my stay, and hopefully longer.

Ghosty says “Ether, I am intrigued... how do you have the ability to re-summon spirits after you cast them far away?”

Etherdrifter says “You are most welcome. I do however caution you to the dangers of wiksik and to any who do not embrace our laws. For your visit you are protected, after my hand cannot extend over you.”
Etherdrifter turns away from mona to face ghosty
Etherdrifter says “Simple, I leave the hut, got 5 south, invoke twice, do the same for north. If the spirit does not come I try once for east and once for west. Then come back here and invoke.”
fatboyjoe returns to normal after a spell of acting strangely.

Leatherface gives you a skull.
Leatherface gives you a skull.
Leatherface gives you a skull.
Leatherface wanders into the hut, a heavy satchel of skulls in tow behind him. One by one, he doles out a double-dose of skulls to all gathered that could take them, completely silent as he does so.
Leatherface holds up a bloodied skull.
Leatherface 's splayed fingers allow fresh gore to drizzle from atwixt them, his trophies now in the hands of all gathered to behold. It pleased him in a manner few sane people could appreciate.

Madam Nico walks in, and looks surprised. "Woah, there is a crap load of people in here."
Madam Nico notices monaliza, and fakes a cough as she finds a seat behind Fat Princess.

dancing phoenix flies into the spirit again, hissing with spite, fury, and a strange aura of satisfaction. You realize the phoenix has done something quite horrible. And then, it flies away.

Etherdrifter grins

Etherdrifter tilts his head
Etherdrifter says “Ah death becomes you, a guard of raktam. Why did you take to murdering our diplomat?”

Death Becomes You says “Your diplomat was killed for murdering me”
Death Becomes You says “Are you fully aware of the situation that occurred in Raktam between myself and Mortis?”
Death Becomes You says “A known pker was in Mortis' residence upon whom I duly dispatched”
Death Becomes You says “Mortis decided to take action upon this and we traded blows”
Death Becomes You says *pats Mortis on back* I think you are one up in blows old chum”
Death Becomes You says “Now no hard feelings Mortis here have a drink on me”

Etherdrifter raises an eyebrow
Etherdrifter says “Which known PKer hrm??”

Common ground is not always brown

monaliza looks up from her reading.

You say “Death Becomes You makes a good point. We agree on many things except enemies.”
You say “your enemies are your and not mine and vise versa. Neither of us are willing to take the burden of the other ones' revenges. This would make us both heavy with adversaries and without much to gain.”
You say “Mortis was in essence protecting a known pker, a KOS listed person to us. But not to you.”

monaliza rolls up the scroll and lays it across her lap.

You say “then, to Mortis the same happened, in reverse in My Court.”
You say “harbouring to one is not seen as that to the other, so here is our dilemma. ”

monaliza smiles.

You say “in my younger days, I would have hunted a villain to the ends of the island for just looking at me wrong. ”
You say “now, as I have matured, I have found that forgiveness can lead to a path of greater enlightenment.”
You say “do not get me wrong, I am not lackadaisical, not at all. I have been shown that offering compassion and having an open ear can gain me more than a deeply-plunged sword, at times.”
You say “so it is with this understanding that we will have to make a resolution, come to a broader understanding of how we are best able to respect each of our separate and thriving cultures.”

Anthor visits the Royal Court on invitation from Death Becomes You

You step inside.
Anthor enters the throne room carefully, mindful of his last visit.
Anthor hands Baraka & monaliza a bottle of rum.

Bobby the Hatchet bows awkwardly, "Rrrrragh, I come in peace. Though my brothers have made war with you, my war must remain with the outsiders."
You say “I have received an invite from the beautiful Death Becomes You, to visit the Royal Court. Please accept this bottle of rum, personally taken from the hold of the Pirate Ship, as a gift.”

Anthor nods to Bobby the Hatchet

You say “I see we meet again, Brother in Arms.”
Anthor lets Bobby continue to talk with the King and Queen, and walks over to Death Becomes You.

Bobby the Hatchet hands two skulls to the King and Queen. "The best gifts I can provide."

Anthor nods to A'din

Bobby the Hatchet says “I am simply passing through in my travels. Our exiled king spoke of this land and I felt obliged to pay a visit to this glorious court.”
Bobby the Hatchet says “tictac, GoraGora, though you slay my brothers and I, I do not seek revenge in these halls. Hold your blades for when we meet in the jungle.”
Bobby the Hatchet says “It was good to fight alongside native blood at Wicksick Island. The war is not over yet, but for now we rest.”
Bobby the Hatchet says “I shall look favorably upon those who were their both in arms and in spirit.”
Bobby the Hatchet says “Anthor, though we may be bitter enemies at times, it is good to move forward. Although I make no promises towards the pale mercenary Bahl, the two of us still share irreconcilable differences. ”

You say “Your show much honor and strength of will, Bobby. You make a fierce adversary, and a powerful friend. I look forward to future dealings.”

Bobby the Hatchet says “As do I. The times, they change with the sun and the moon. The outsider threat has become much greater than a mere trader or two. ”
Bobby the Hatchet says “I shall rest here for a few more days and nights and then I shall return to the jungle, where I am most at home.”
Bobby the Hatchet says “If I am unwelcome, let it be known and I will slip off into the shadows of the night. Otherwise, know that I bring no harm to your people during my stay.”
Bobby the Hatchet says “It has been good to look upon this Kingdom in it's glory. I seldom experience such luxuries as mangos, silk and concubines.”
Bobby the Hatchet stretches his gnarled muscles and leans watchfully in a corner of the room. His shadow in the flickering of a candle flame takes on the monstrous look of some ancient horror.

monaliza raises an eyebrow, "concubines? I do not think we have any here. Do you agree, my husband Baraka?
monaliza says “you and Anthor are welcomed to stay here as long as you are respectful and behave responsibly.”

Bobby the Hatchet chuckles, dribbling blood. "Ah, of course. I forget these mainland women are much more conservative."
Bobby the Hatchet says “Forgive my crude manners, I seldom mingle with live royalty.”

A'din Dkari returns Anthor's nod, "I haven't seen you since WickSick. How does the jungle treat you?"

Death Becomes You says “I am so pleased you made it Anthor now you can meet the rest of The Raktam Guard - although some you may know”
Death Becomes You says “and our HQ is but a few huts away”
Death Becomes You says “A'din has worked marvels”
Death Becomes You says “Now this event on the 15th what actually does it entail - I do like events with tradition”

You say “A'din, well met friend. I trust you returned from battle in one piece!”
You say “The 15th is a very important date. It begins the Death Aid 2010 contest. Some say a mark of savagery. Some say a call by the Ancient Ones to bring forth the next Champion of Shartak.”
You say “However it is seen, it is a gruelling challenge in which only the fittest, the most intelligent, the wisest, even the wittiest, will need to endure.”
You say “At the waterfall it begins, at the waterfall it ends. Sixteen heads. Eight villages.”
You say “Only one can win, and bring great honor to their village.”
You say “I of course will be taking part, and I see that Bobby has placed his sword into the challenge too. Everyone is welcome, though fraught with danger the quest is... ”
You say “I would like it if you would accompany me to the Waterfall, Death Becomez You. Of course, if you are not already promised to another.”
You say “And with that, I must take to the sleep. Much preparation is needed before the contest begins.”

Death Becomes You says “I would be honoured to to travel to the waterfall ”
Death Becomes You says “I am very interested in the event....will it be safe for me to attend?”
Death Becomes You says “Bobby I do not believe we have met, are you excited about the event?”

dancing phoenix hisses sparks at the cannibal.

Bobby the Hatchet nods his head, "The ancients have summoned me to take part in this challenge of cunning and savagery."
Bobby the Hatchet says “Headhunting is an ancient art, one that seems to have become lost amongst our youth.”
Bobby the Hatchet glares around the room at those without skulls, unlearned in the blessed skill.
Bobby the Hatchet says “I am bound to take part, lest one of the pale faced demons steal our glory, defeating us in our own game.”
Bobby the Hatchet holds up a gruesome skull.
Bobby the Hatchet says “Behold, the height of native achievement.”

A'din Dkari chuckles, "Thank you for your kind words Death. I have merely tried to assemble Raktam's most loyal warriors to a cause."
A'din Dkari turning to Anthor, "Yes though it was through the help of a shaman I did so. I hope Bahl harbors no ill will? I got a bit caught up in the heat of the moment."
A'din Dkari turns back to the crowd, eyes ablaze, "Speaking of the Guard: are there any others here among us who wish to join up to defend Raktam from everything from daily wrongs to mallicious attacks?"

You say “Death Becomes You, I cannot guarantee your safety unfortunately. That said, I believe the Ancient Ones will smite any who attempt to disrupt the start of the event. ”
You say “And I will of course avenge the death of one as beautiful as yourself. For any that make attempt on your life will NEVER find solace on this island again.”
You say “A'Din, I have talked with Bahl and he bears no ill will.”

A'din Dkari nods, "This is good. I fear enough may target me as it is that I'd rather not add more eneimes to the list. Friends are far more beneficial."

Mencken kills Baraka with a wooden club.
Mencken carves pieces off the body of Baraka and begins eating!
Mencken carves pieces off the body of Baraka and begins eating!
Mencken carves pieces off the body of Baraka and begins eating!
Mencken says “Hot-dog. i've never killed a king before. ”
Mencken glances over at the dozen or so natives in the room.
Mencken says “So much for the Raktami Royal Guard.”

You climb outside.
There are quite a lot of tracks here but only a few are immediately obvious.
Mencken was here very recently and went north-east.

(much tracking to find Mencken)

You attack Mencken with a heavy sword for 5 damage. They die. You gain 45 XP.
Underworld log successful
You say “It's not the Raktami Royal Guard you need to worry about. You murder the Raktami King in front of me, you WILL lose your head.”

Anthor severs Mencken's head and throws it in a bag to return to King Baraka as a gift.
You climb inside.
You say “well, it cost me four bottles of fungi juice... but Baraka's killer is no more. B$tard was at 107HP!”
Anthor holds up the severed head of Mencken before handing it over to A'Din.
You hold up the gruesome skull so it can be admired.
You give a skull to A'din Dkari .

AH! This would explain why that murderer was no where to be found.  Thank you for being on guard. I clearly wasn't paying attention. I saw what he did and blindly went hunting  Roll Eyes

"Hello ...." echoes.

"HELLO?" once again repeats through the patchy jungle.

"Wow, I am far out." She calls her faithful winged friend. On a piece of dried mango skin she writes,

Overcast ...

Nekrotzar  attacks you with a machete for 3 damage. You die.
Nekrotzar collects the head of monaliza.
Nekrotzar says “*YOINK*”

monaliza stumbles in.
You say “Nekrotzar just killed me. Can someone find him and/or kill him? Only once for his crimes against The Royal Court.”

Anthor says “I'd appreciate I you asked before using me as an XP farm, an escaped prisoner”

monaliza turns her head and faces an Escaped Prisoner.

You say “sheath it, an Escaped Prisoner, or LOOSE IT.”
You say “your hitting on me did not go unnoticed.”

Bobby the Hatchet snarls at the escapee, "I don't play just the tip, if you attack me you'd better be willing to take me all the way."
Bobby the Hatchet says “I'll sniff around for this other killer for now.”

gurujerry kills Anthor with a cutlass.

gurujerry says “he's climbing in your windows, he's snatching your people up!”

monaliza hears, "Nekrotzar [-70.287,+26.480] His tracks lead east from this square. He did quite a bit of zig-zagging around, so he's probably pretty close.' and passes it on.

monaliza sighs, "and yes.. get the gurujerry too."

A'din Dkari says “I'm going to hunt Jerry. I dont have a GPS right now so i will leave Nekrotzar up to others. Good hunting.”
A'din Dkari sighs and grumbles "Here we go again..." and walks outside to hunt down the murderer.

an Escaped Prisoner says “Do necklaces and earrings actually *do* anything, or are they just profile flavor?”
an Escaped Prisoner says “The wild boar tusk necklace doesn't appear to actually do anything. should have clicked that first. hurr”

Pvt Vinduska says “found jerry but couldnt attack and make it back to report in the same thing so here it is go 2S and 7E then SE from there”
Pvt Vinduska says “or I Guess 2 SE then 5E then SE from there whatever floats your boat”

Mencken counts his bloody fingers one at a time.

Mencken says “Yesterday Baraka, today monaliza, tomorrow anthor. and so on.”
Mencken says “you all can kill me. alot. and take my head, and so on. but every time i kill a royal, i demonstrate how unworthy they are to claim their crowns.”
Mencken says “To put it another way, the life of an assassin is short, brutal, worthless. but a royal is expected to hold some kind of power, prestige, some reason that they deserve to be called royal. ”
Mencken says “Their life is supposed to be worth more than the life of an assassin. i've just demonstrated that their life is equal to mine. which is to say, worthless. their claim to rule is wholly without merit”

Mencken walks around the room, picking up tribal masks, artifacts, examining them, then shattering them against the wall.

Mencken says “What are these knickknacks you surround yourselves in? for *this* a native like me should go on bended knee, serve the crown as their vaunted bodyguards, fight wars with other royals on their behalf? ”

Mencken turns to go, then pauses at the threshold.

Mencken says “Don't get me wrong, i'm not after Raktam specifically. nor do i intend to grief my victims. not right away, anyway. my fight is with any native or outsider who puts on a crown or marries a crown. ”

an Escaped Prisoner collects the head of monaliza.

Mencken says “it just so happens that only natives have this obsessive tendency to dally with crowns. no crown is legitimate in shartak. I recognize no king of wiksik, raktam, dalpok, rakmagok, or their entourage.”

Mencken says “Nor do I recognize any kingdom of skulls, for that matter.”
Mencken says “Now, I don't expect any of you to be applauding this, but i do plan on organizing a group which will make this ideology rather more effective than one lone cannibal. any of you want to join, find me.”

Mencken looks down at the dead queen. he leans in to spit in her face, then swallows instead.

Mencken says “She's suffered enough of a loss of dignity for now.”
