Star Wars, Maybe some D&D. Firefly failed because by the time we finally realized we need a new gm there were not enough players left to keep the game going. Also one of the players we lost was the replacement GM, which is actually pretty ironic. This time we should keep the campaigns shorter and less complex to keep interest up. Or maybe a little Battletech(merc., raider or civ. games).

Well, I'd suggest my favorite online game, Manga Fighter, but sadly, it closed back in June.

Also I was thinking for future campaigns because they tend to run short the characters should have more skills starting out so we can dive straight into the more interesting later levels. On a separate note I noticed that there is a Fallout pen and paper game anyone know if it's any good? I'm kind of obsessed with Fallout right now with New Vegas coming out soon.

I can tell you what not to play...
Battletech, you will spend the majority of the game making your character. It's point buy, and have to decide your entire history in order to figure ou how many points you get and how to distribute hem and where you can distributethem. And after you've done that. Well, the game pretty much plays itself. There isn't much to the game after you've made your character. It's a bit anti-climactic I suppose. I only really played it once or twice but even the people who wanted to play the game started gettng bored of it after the second week.
Anima, if you want to make an obnoxiously strong character... than this is the game for you. Character creation is point buy, it's also complicated. Game mechanics are entirely based on percentage rolls. Players tend to enjoy this game if they like to destroy :palm:ing everything.... ever, including the gamesplot and all the other party members. In fact the only time a character ever died in an Anima game that I playd it was at the hnds of another player, on accident, or not.
I say try the fallout game. It's based off fallout I, the system is supposed to be similar to the orignal game programing. You can play as a dog if you want to.

Of course take my opinion with a grain of salt (or however that saying goes) since I always end up quitting about 4 pages into these role playing things with no explanation; but I definitely think the Fallout idea is awesome! I am reading that The Passage book, I've been listening to the Fallout soundtrack (which is mind blowing) and I am replaying Halflife, so I am really into the whole post-apoc., doomed humanity thing right now. I would definitely participate for at least a bit (my longevity will probably be determined by the proliferation and efficacy of shot guns...the more shotguns the better).

I appreciate your honesty and if we could get a solid group of around four or more players together I'd definitely be up for a Fallout RPG.

I used to play a Fallout game on Gametap. Too bad the free section of games on Gametap all suck now.

Yeah I used to play it there as well until they decided to be a bunch of fags. I bought the Trilogy at Target, I found a bunch of illegal free copies of the game at the rapidshare section of 4-chan I would definitely avoid that site and buy the legal version. If you download than you have to go get patches at no mutants allowed it's a hassle.

Gametap used to have good free games, such as Fallout, Metal Slug, Warlords Battlecry 3, and my personal favorite, Rogue Trooper. I can't seem to find a copy of Warlords Battlecry 3 in any stores. Buying downloads never works for me. Always screws up somehow.
