As some of you may know, I am the Peninsula Federation's Minister of Justice. As such, I am responsible for Derby's safety.

So, to make things simple, report any crimes you may have witnessed or been victim of, in a PM to me of course. Title of crime reports should be "Uther, Minister of Justice"

All reports, I would prefer to contain the following:

1.) Screenshot of the crime you are reporting.
  • Substantial evidence of the crimes occurence, (i.e. screenshot of the crime, screenshot of Underworld logs proving your report to be true, etc.)

2.)Crime is required to have been:*
  • Done to or by a citizen of Derby.
  • Done to or by a member of The Peninsula Federation
  • Taken place in Derby.

NOTE:*All need not apply. All of them fall under my jurisdiction.

Last known location of the accused is appreciated. No rewards for information, after all, I am NOT a mercenary.

If the accused is found to be guilty, and escapes Derby, they will be declared KOS in Derby until their sentence is carried out.

If the accused believes their accusation to be false, a tribunal will be held in The Tower of The Parliament to determine whether the accused is indeed guilty.

Sentences may be carried out by:

  • Citizens of Derby
  • Members of The Peninsula Federation
  • Allies of The Peninsula Federation
  • The Grand Army of Derby
  • Mercenaries paid by any of the 4 previously stated

Anyone with 3 or more guilty sentences of murder at the same time will be added to the "Permanent KOS" list.

How to Get off the Permanent KOS List

A 3 month probation period, in which time one cannot murder any peaceful person, or NPC (traders, shaman, etc) is required for anyone to get off the "Permanent KOS" list. There are no exceptions, and no mercy, considering they showed no mercy to the innocents they'd slaughtered in cold-blood.

Derby's KOS List

Temporary KOS:

Cold Seether (Frequent and willing unprovoked murder of Parliamentary members, and treasonous acts against the Peninsula Federation.) (November 27th.)

Permanent KOS:

The Kingdom of Wiksik (Premeditated and Willful Murder of the Parliamentary Hierarchy, acts of war against Parliament.)
NOTE: The KOS status of The Kingdom of Wiksik stands for the entirety of their existence, and are henceforth banished from Derby.

Peasblossom (Aiding the Kingdom of Wiksik in the murder of the Hierarchy of Parliament.)

Dances With Kevin Costner (Aiding The Kingdom of Wiksik in the murder of the Hierarchy of Parliament.)

Bobby the Hatchet (Murder of Derby citizens and Peninsula Federation members.)

A record of each crime shall be kept here as well, in the following format:

<Name(s) of the accused> NOTE: Perps names will be glowing.
<Name of the victim(s)>
<Crime(s) committed>
<verdict>
<sentence> <----- NOTE: Sentences that are stricken out denote that the sentence has been carried out.

Perp: Exterminator894
Victim: Cain
Crime: Murder.
Verdict: Guilty.
Sentence: Death.

Perp: Keiichi
Victim: Dead Eye Pike
Crime: 2 counts of murder.
Verdict: Guilty.
Sentence: 2 deaths

Perp: Friendly
Victim: Katie Calhoun
Crime: Murder.
Verdict: Guilty.
Sentence: 1 death.

This is superb, this is exactly the kind of proactive legal solution I had hoped you would come up with. Let justice and the rule of law reign! Soon we will have cracked liberty bells and a declaration of independence from the English king, good work!

Yes, well, Katie Calhoun inspired me to start this thread. Feel free to thank her as well.  Tongue

....and thanks.  Smiley

I have modified the first post to contain more details, and a record of each crime committed.

I confess!

Quote
Bobby the Hatchet thumps you in the chest with the hilt of his sword, "Ah, Minister of Justice, I have a crime I'd like to report."
Bobby the Hatchet whips the blade around, wildly hacking away at the Minister with the fury of Rakmogak.
You attack Uther with a heavy sword for 5 damage. They die. You gain 33 XP.
Underworld log successful .
Bobby the Hatchet drives the blade through your gut, pinning you to the ground. He snips your badge off with a crude dagger and jams it into your mouth, casually carving your head off and placing it with the others
You collect the head of Uther and clean it up before adding the skull to what you're carrying.
Bobby the Hatchet hacks off a chunk of flesh and begins to feast, sloshing blood everywhere. "I ate the sheriff, but I did not eat the deputy."
You carve pieces off Uther and give thanks to the ancestors as you eat.
You feel slightly invigorated from the slabs of flesh you consume. You gain 3 XP.
You carve pieces off Uther and give thanks to the ancestors as you eat.
You feel slightly invigorated from the slabs of flesh you consume. You gain 3 XP.
You carve pieces off Uther and give thanks to the ancestors as you eat.
You feel slightly invigorated from the slabs of flesh you consume. You gain 3 XP.
Bobby the Hatchet picks the bones clean, throwing the last scrap to the dogs in the street. "Justice and dinner, both served."

Then you call upon yourself the fury of Derby and The Peninsula Federation.
Walk our streets carefully. You will be sent back to the pitiful spit of land you came from.
That is unless, you decide to flee, out of cowardice of course.

Confessing will not bring leniency, nor will it bring mercy.

Ha! The cowards have retreated before the mighty blades of Surcouf and Pershing! Their numbers were great, but they could not stand before us two musketeers!

Teksura
Balchig, Shaman of Derby.
Murder.
Guilty.
Death.

Just as a point of confession, I'm pretty sure I also managed to kill Trader Tom. Don't worry though, he didn't seem too upset about it, and continued to be pleased to see my face when I was making deals with him later.

So, either Tom is secretly a masochist or he took one too many bullets to the skull and can barely remember the time of day anymore.

I don't give a hoot about Tom getting killed. He's tried to swindle me several times and gets what he deserves but killing our shaman is another thing. You got what you deserved. But thanks for telling us about dear old Tom.  Cheesy

Well, I appreciate the confession Tek.
I'm not sure if I should bother with this one, but it IS a crime nonetheless.
I suppose, if anyone wants me to, I'll carry out a death sentence for it.

Just a warning their Tek, if I discover you killing anymore NPC's, regardless of their role in the village, I'll have no choice but to bring you to justice.

lolz

Oh, I'm done in Derby. And I don't debate the sentence. I'm pretty much just going from village to village trying to kill all of the Traders and Shamen once, so if anyone doesn't like that idea, they're encouraged to kill me for it. It's not like I don't deserve it, and it does make the absurd task a bit more interesting.

You play your way, I'll play mine, and we'll all have a lot of fun!

I'm just curious, how did you identify I was the one who killed Balchig? Did you just look and see he was dead, then killed the only guy in town with a kill stat on him, or did someone see me do it? I... don't remember if there were any bodies or people nearby when I did the deed.

You must be somewhat new Tek. Tongue

On your profile, it said your last NPC kill was Balchig, and on your Underworld logs, it said your last kill was Balchig. Can't hide who or what you kill very easily there. Cheesy

Pretty well aware about the stat tracking, it's the entire reason why I'm doing this insane venture.  Tongue

I was just curious if you saw me kill him (and I therefore need to be more discrete), if you check everyones profiles to see who they killed, or if you only checked for killers because the shamen was dead.

If you're checking everyones profiles, kudos on the detective work.  Wink

I check everyone. Wouldn't be a good Minister of Justice if I was slackin' off on the job now would I?
