He's now at [-70.426,+26.505]. I was at nearly full HP but he wasn't munching on anyone else, so I figured attacking him now would just be a waste of darts and herbs and would make me trek back from a shaman. I'm waiting for backup a few squares south on the road.

Jungle

There are several small trees here and some light undergrowth.

Also here is a man-eating python.

Unfortunately, I don't know where here is. Fist just stumbled across it whilst wandering aimlessly west. It's three squares north-east of Strength of a Bear though.

I see it, still on that square. Still too chicken to go near it with just 1 other person there, though... would just stepping on the square get me trapped or would I have to get attacked by it?

Eh, I was too tempted to wait for a reply- darted in, healed Strength of a Bear, and darted back out, I was able to get away perfectly fine. Hey... in theory, if we could just keep healing a person trapped by a Python, the Python would remain in that spot indefinitely! Hahahahaha...  lolz

Well, there goes that plan. It's now at -70.421,+26.504.

That was fast... I healed him up to 70 HP at 21:23 and he died at 23:06. Meh, I guess only 4 hits in an hour and 40 minutes.

Now at 420 534.

I got him down to 297HP, before I ran out of FAKs and got crushed to death, again.

It's at -70.419,+26.504 now (I'm thinking Daves made a mistake in that 534, I think that would put it in the water). I decided to just attack it now and get killed, after Daves has weakened it, even though I'm still obviously going to die. I know, I know, stupid...

Managed to go from 27 healing herbs from 12. Just gave up after running out of darts, and figured I'd experiment with escaping. The wiki indicates that escape is possible and can be done, but... meh. It'd probably take less AP to just attack it a few times and head to a Shaman.

I've escaped as two different characters, one on the first try, the other on the third.

It's moved further east, and killed a plucky young rhino-puncher who also happens to be machete-happy when he really ought to stop and heal every now and again.

Has anyone tried making a campfire to prevent attacks between hunting? Wasn't that the whole point of them?

I'm going to start trying a few odd things just to see if something works. Campfires aren't a bad idea. Star God said he saw the thing truck it through straight-up wildfire though, so that's sort've throws out my idea about caging it within a ring of fire.
