Modified my post below.

And of course, statistics are only one way to look at it... I don't get your claim not to find any targets, Pershing... considering there are nine of us and five of you. We're going days between finding targets on your side.

BTW... the tower is retagged WickSick.

And to preempt the PF's claim to victory, I claim victory for our side... based on a skull I just uncovered on the island... on it is written in the blood of the Ancient Ones... the words... "Property of WickSick Island - All Pale Faces that walk this island be cursed until the end of time"

I have a 5:1 Kill/Death. My other death was by the Derby Swamp and has nothing to do with this conflict.

Well, wars over... Anthor says so. Not that there is anything stopping people from going on with fighting.

But I was actually thinking, if you people where really interested in peace. Prhaps a joint rule of the island would be an idea... not necessarally a good idea, but an interesting one at least. Picture this, a place on the island that both natives and outsiders hold a joint rule over and is safe for all. Perhaps this island could be that place.

Alright, that's my last idea. you may continue fighting now.

The war with the outsiders is never over. Glory is fleeting.

Just the other night, as I slept in the jungles wounded in battle, a Toad hopped over to my ear and whispered, "WickSick Island is cursed by the angered spirits of the damned. All who sleep in the tower will be forever cursed, slowly driven to madness by the horrible things that lurk there. The politicians and the armies will speak of things such as 'victory', 'joint rule' and 'Shakespeare' but know that these are only the demons talking, deceiving their hosts so that they may slowly feed on their souls in the shadows of the dark tower." He really just said, "Ribbit-ribbit" and was probably after all the flies buzzing around my mouth, but thankfully I speak Toad and was able to translate and relay this very important message to my people.

Already the cursed demons have begun to speak through the mouths of the soldiers and kings. I march on to the heart of the beast, lest I be consumed slowly and uneventfully by the mischievous disciples of the Toad God.

I'm neither a soldier nor a king. I have never been to this island, and I'm not even sure of where it is. I don't really have anything to gain here. And I see this battle over this island as just another excuse for war. And so this island is cursed would you say you're fighting not to take the island for yourself but to keep others away from this curse? Or is it just that the tower is cursed, or is the entire island cursed?

If it is cursed, why would yo be so keen to fight for it? Or is it more of a precuationary action? An attempt try to protect the outsiders from the curse that they may not believe is there.

Because If there is a chance that Cthulu will raise from the waters and eat that little island... that's something that people who might want to live there should keep in mind.

Those who speak of joint rule aren't demons, well except Uther, but that's besides the point.  Grin

But watch for that damned Shakespeare. It'll kill us all.  Roll Eyes

Ah, the tedium of naval warfare. We're all sailing right past each other, not visible over the horizon.

The Raktam scout (sorry, I thought he was a cannibal - Muad'dib) who killed me.... that was just a random kill, wasn't it? Because otherwise this would be an attack on a Minister of the Parliament within Derby, and change the complexion of this entirely, into a Federation / Raktam war.

It's about as applicable as your kill of a random cannibal, http://www.shartak.com/profile.cgi?id=16383 .  No one knows anything about that fellow on our end.

So it's either minus a kill or add a death.  Thus comes the politics of trying to be picky in statistics.

Ah, the glorious life of a nomadic and kingless outlaw. All of the killing, none of the red-tape and political backlash.

Raktam, when the Federation removes it's mask and formally declares war on your Court, you will have my sword, though I be uninvited and your highnesses be undeserving. Quite frankly though, I don't think their steadfast tin soldiers have the stones.

We have no interest in declaring war on the Royal Court. We just want them to mind their own business, and keep out of ours.

Oh I see. 4:1 then.

I would say it wasn't a random kill since he was here in Derby for a bit attacking people. Last I saw of him was when I killed him the day after he killed you.

Wait...got to thinking..are you talking about anaalipunktio or Maud'dib? I did kill Maud'dib but found anaalipunktio dead in the Derby Med hut the other day.  I think it is my bed time. Mind to fuzzy.

Anaalipunktio was the known cannibal: Muad'dib is the Raktam scout.

Tower inscriptions have been changed back. Where are you people? The Baron found me, after killing Jhonka six paces east of where I was. No one else seems to be about.

Given the numbers of dead Wicksicks and Raktams that you and I have wracked up over the past week, I imagine that most, God bless 'em, are making the long walk back to Midway.

"Bored", as Bobby says. That was my prediction at the beginning of this conflict, that the war would be won by attrition. Fighting for Midway does not have the sex appeal that fighting for a village has, so I imagine that this will be won by the side that gets sick of floating in the water last.
