You attack Otyr with a heavy sword for 5 damage. They die. You gain 45 XP. Underworld log successful . You say “The time has come for the PF and the Mercs to realize that you're done for. Leave our island and return to your villages.” Anthor prays over the dead body of Otyr You say “May the Ancient Ones take your spirit and impress upon you the error of your ways.”

So, what's the situation like on the island? Much different from what it was on Friday? I'm back on the mainland now (having died after I slept in the tower out of lack of anything else to do) and am thinking I might not head back to Midway, since I was getting bored there.

Yeah, this is the most boring battle ever. everyone just hangs out in deep water and it takes forever to kill someone. that's why the stats are so low. Get on the dang island and fight like real men/women! (though I shouldn't talk, I've been a spirit the whole time)

Don't cry to us when you start unsavory combat.

A real time battle would be great if it could be organized. I'm currently resting after restocking on darts and such, but I would be willing to allow both sides to gather forces for the fight once I return. Can't say the same for certain people, but I have hope for them.

I'll discuss a real time battle with Federation forces. Back in touch shortly.

Don't cry to us when you start unsavory combat. Hmm... I don't think real-time battles have ever been used to settle serious territorial disputes. There have been some fights over waterfalls and pools and stuff, but I believe that in most of those cases the disputes were basically invented for the purpose of having a real-time battle as a sporting event. Then again, I think Midway might be one of the only really "serious" territorial disputes by my definition. Might be interesting to try, I suppose... would be interesting to see if the sides would respect the result. I imagine that over time the battle would be forgotten or ignored (and just become another line in the flame wars of later battles for the island). However, even in the short term it would be relatively easy for one side- either side, to avoid being accused of accusing anyone I'm going to admit that the Natives would be more likely to be this side, though the Yorkers could do a similar thing with less recognisability- to "cheat" by having one group agree to a real-time battle and accept if they lose, but another group which didn't agree to the battle continue the war, possibly with the assistance of people who are also members of the group which participated in the real-time battle.

I won't do real-time battles simply because I've got a really slow connection and will be getting hit at least five times to my one. Besides, we only mustered two or three at a time for the Gladiator Fights, so it'd be like herding cats. I also won't bow out of causes over what would essentially be a game of checkers. If we get bored, we'll wander off and leave our options open. You can hand me a bag of : : and I'll find some way to proclaim victory over it, so I never really worry about losing.

Seems Katie just caught you in the act of trying to kill her and fought back so you do some real time battles. She did step out the door to heal herself but you came after her where she went back into the bar where you followed her again and tried again where she attacked you again until you ran off. Why don't you stay at the island and fight for that instead of coming to Derby.

I've had my fill of victory on the island. If the Federation wants to lay claim to it, the price shall be the blood of their members back home, starting with the Ministry of Justice, The Hanged Misfit, then the Medical Hut and anyone I happen to find wandering the streets after curfew. I'm a filthy savage, it's just what I do.

Congratulations Bobby. I have now declared Bobby the Hatchet KOS in Derby, until his sentences are carried out. I have alerted everyone in Derby to watch for you. As long as you flee justice, you will not be safe. It is open season on Bobby the Hatchet.
