A long trek through the thick-knit jungles led her to their hive. They all come back, they have to. She waits patiently until her prize is in view. You step inside. You say “DEATH TO THE MERCS.”
You attack Iwashere with a heavy sword for 5 damage. They die.
You say “welcome to "Mercenary's Run". Say hello to the shaman for me.”
monaliza eyes the outsider up and down before rushing past him and out of the door. The smells, the tastes of Durham are SO different, so foreign. People lazing around in the sun, chatting and smiling at all that passes by them. Monaliza did not have time for fun and curious dabbling. This trip was not founded on the thrill of discovery, but at the settling of a score. NO, she didn't want to have to do this, but she DID. She was going to scatter the herd, disturb the clutch, batter the colony. The Merc's disturbing actions in Raktam had left her no choice. NO leader could stand by and watch their men, woman, children and civilization be tarnished by such evil.
She was here to fight. She is here to win.

So pretty much the Colonial Police again, except with Raktamites instead of Yorkies?
Hey, whatever works for you. Have fun on your crusade, I personally wont be fighting back. Or I wont be making any kills, at least.

So it's more like Chicken Run, than Mercenary's Run then? And Cy, I love that Mercenary's Run pic you posted.

So now I'm a chicken for sticking to my personal beliefs?
I haven't killed anyone outside of a bounty or a favor owed since I left the original KoS in February of 2009. Nobody is paying me to fight back against this current attack, so it would be a waste of darts to participate in this event. It's as simple as that. Like I said, any personal grudges died with the contract, I am completely indifferent about Monaliza killing me. Seeing as I'm a non-combatant, and had stated that I would do no further harm to her or her people now that the event is over, I simply view her actions as willingly wasting the durability of a sword for a simple statistic increase.
As a simple sidenote, Anthor: I'm not running away from the combat area. I came to Durham for a reason, and I'll leave when I want to. You on the other hand have been attacked in Wiksik, and willingly admit that you are abandoning the area to fulfill someone else's goals. I don't appreciate you calling me a chicken (or implying that I am running) under the circumstances.

I'm happy to accept a commission from either side to fight for them.
Queen Monaliza of Raktam, if you want to pay me in gold in two tranches to kill select Durhamites, half before and half afterwards, make me an offer. Same deal goes for the honoured businessmen of Club Palermo in relation to knifing Raktam commanders in the field or at home. Its a straightforward commercial arrangement for services rendered. If you want more than one Pirate High Commander involved then I'll spread the word, but its like herding cats so it'll probably just be me.
I've killed 5 Yorksmen in York before finally being answered today because I got cocky and fell asleep in the weapons hut, and so a change of scene plus targetted assassinations instead of a random killing spree might be nice.

I see the slightly simple Queen of Raktam has got it -backwards again. I know your husband's a mute, but that's no bloody reason for you to play dumb as well. Bloody hellfire, but it's a good job for you you're pretty, because if brains were rune sticks you'd be several short of a full handful. Here's how it is. If a man stabs you with a knife, you don't get even by knocking it out of his hand and snapping it. You get even by knocking him on his , then putting your foot in it. My mercenaries are the knife. I'm the guy who stuck you. You're chasing the wrong bloody bloke, sweetcheeks, but don't worry, I'll be back in Durham to make it easier for you real soon.

You doth protest too much, Twisty.
If I was to get revenge, I'd go Kaiser Soze. You kill the guy who ordered the hit, the guys who did the hit, the guy who sold them the bullets, and the peaceful guy who chatted to one of the guys who did the hit in the jungle east of the mountain. Then you and your crew go to the charming little restaurant run by one of the guys who ordered the hit, piss in the whisky, take a dump in the kitchen, wipe your arse with the menu, set fire to the surrounding countryside, and kill every last living soul in the entire town.
That way people know not to do it again.

I'll be conservin' my ammunition for the arrival of Bloodstock, as I only kill for money or favours. Revenge is such a fleetin' concept. Now if ole girl wants to get in the way of my rifle and a favour, I might have to give her a few grains of diplomacy on the house.

Queen, think about what you are doing. Durham may the host to Phil, but the entire town aren't mercenarys, most of us just want to have a good time drinking fine wine and talk about what we saw out in sea that day.
What is so wrong about that?

Why is it...every time I actually accomplish something...junk like this happens. |: Since you're gonna be lopping off heads of Mercenaries...does that include EVERYONE? Or just the ones who complied to the event. :/ Because I don't feel that I should be killed because you wanna get some revenge on something they were just being paid to do.
Thank you, carry on.
