YUN CU'THI JUHGER MUN!!! (You can't judge me!!!)

The citizens of Wiksik, in the midst of war, have awoken to a strange sight. A sixty-five foot tall tree has appeared right outside of the Throne Room. It landed not thirty feet from the entrance. Several of the citizens are now speaking in hushed tones, the sudden appearance of the tree seems to be disturbing everyone.

The topic of their hushed voices does not seem to be how the tree came to be where it was not last night, but rather, the appearance of the tree itself.

The tree appears to have been pulled out of the ground by sheer force and its roots are pointed towards the sky, with the foliage in a two foot deep crater. Some of the shamans have identified it as one of the great trees that grow in the York area, how it came to be here no one knows. There are two deep hand-shaped depressions near the base of the tree.

A part of the bark has been scraped off, and the white wood has been marred with a message written in some dark ink made of crushed ants. It is written not too clearly, as the writer probably did not have a chance to perfect his penmanship, but his grammar is quite basic. It reads (as clearly as you can make out):

Quote
I am not good in writing and will keep this short. I hope that I threw this in the right direction and with enough strength. If not, then go spread my message.
Hello Wiksik. I am coming to settle a score with a traitorous cannibal, named Exterminator894. I had heard that he was being a problem for many cannibals, and I only learned it recently through experience. It took weeks for the shamans to recover me from the Underworld, thanks to him. I heard he is in the Wiksik area, and now that my strength has returned, I send you this message in the fastest method I know. Vicious is mad. Vicious wants revenge. There's a reason I'm called Vetari the Vicious. If anyone dares to hide him, they sha

The message ends there as the cleared off part has run out. People are now afraid that this Vetari the Vicious is a dangerous apparition and that he might be serious.

Ha ha, what did I ever do you you?

It seems we are equal, because that blithering idiot Azuma killed me for no reason.  He killed me because I simply dissagreed with him over why shouldn't we kill Kuru even when he was in a hut; he shouldn't deserve to be protected.  He was arguing that killing them pointlessly solves nothing, and, believe me, it is not pointless to kill him, he has killed many innocent others and is starting a war.  I disagreed with him, so he KILLED me for not believing in his views.  Ha, what a hypocrit!

Actually I killed you for your disrespect towards me and your inherent ignorance. I'll kill you again and again for the same until I am satisfied. If you simply disagreed with me we would have no quarrel. Instead you made a showing of yawning after I tried to impart some reason into your thick skull. This action makes me think that you believe I wasted your time and my words have no merit. If you think I take such insults in stride then you are mistaken about me. I am a man, and I will deal with such insolence appropriately. When you become a man perhaps you will learn how to carry yourself in an honorable manner.

He was arguing that killing them pointlessly solves nothing, and, believe me, it is not pointless to kill him, he has killed many innocent others and is starting a war.  I disagreed with him, so he KILLED me for not believing in his views.

You really absorbed nothing at all from that speech, did you. Some sort of cognitive reasoning disorder I'll assume. You think that while peaceful negotiations are taking place and envoys and emissaries are fulfilling their duties one should treacherously strike out, dishonoring the peace process, relegating one to a lifetimes worth of being known as someone whom is known to lie and go back on their word, forever afterward having every promise and vow made be circumspect and open to others second guessing you. Not exactly the behavior one would expect from their ruler.

I have been in wars, I have promoted peace, I can discern between right and wrong. There are no innocent people. I have no qualms, no issues whatsoever, about sending someone on to their ancestors. We are dead the moment we draw our first breath. It is inevitable. All things are transitory. The things we do in our lives will be the metric by which we are measured. If you want to be known as someone whose word isn't worth a damn, as someone whose actions are reprehensible, whose ignorance knows no boundaries, then blaze that trail Swarm. You're already running down that path as quickly as you can.

Ha, what a hypocrit!

Are you not Rakmogaki? Not surprisingly the spirits tell me that the most kills perpetrated by you is on your own people. You are a  traitor to your village. Your  quoted words are "If you have under 20 HP, consider yourself dinner". As opposed to healing or aiding I guess. Sounds like preying on the weak and disabled is your stock in trade. You have less than ten kills on the outlandres, yet you want to talk of war. Pfft. What do you know of such things. You are a tiny pebble. I am the ocean. You speak of regicide as if you were capable of such an action. I am. That is a known fact. That is only one of the myriad differences between us. Use your head: educate yourself, train your mind and body, grow a discerning heart, drop a pair.

Hypocrite? I've been called worse. I prefer "Savage Devil of a Man", truth be told.

More importantly, what do we do now? Stand to arms? Run and hide? Get the axes out?

Stand naked in the middle of Wiksik in a tub of mango beer. King Kuru will be along in due course to see how the marinade is progressing.

Azuma of the Dalpoki is wise. It is simply that you do not perceive his wisdom.

Vetari, as long as you plan not to eat citizens of Wiksik, members of the Kingdom, allies and peaceful visitors you will be very welcome. You can of course eat any members of the KOS that you come across... Although they may not be very tasty, what with all the anger and hatred filling them up.
