Im sorry but porn and violent images aren't offensive, yes they are inappropriate for the forum seeing as its main purpose is for a browser based game on the other hand the Fake suicides are unfortunately for you tied to the game and hence fair game for a discussion.

I am not a native speaker of English but according to Oxford dictionart offensive means (1) rude in a way that causes you to feel upset, insulted or annoyed; (2) extremely unpleasant.

Just because you might feel OK with violence and/or pornography that doesn't mean that other people will perceive such contents in the same way. If your social intuition doesn't tell you such things are not that acceptable, think why so many forums have prohibiting rules for posting of the above.

As for the faked deaths, this has nothing to do with the gameplay. At all. It's trolling (and I primarily define that as offensive as well) in the metagame OOC sphere. I think such behaviour is inappropriate because of its social conequences, not some kind of fair play.

And I agree it was kind of stupid to believe in such a thing in the first place but some people are more emotional and trusting than the others. That doesn't mean trolling them is a good thing. And this also means I will have very little respect for such trolling antisocial idiots.

I just wanted to clarify my point. You don't have to agree and I am not going to argue with you about this.

Bump as we've not had an answer.

I did send a rather polite PM to Euphenics but sadly I've not recieved a response.

Edit: Might have not sent the PM. Possibly may have clicked cancel instead of send when drunk. I do remember writing one though.

Perhaps it's because we haven't avenged him yet?

Heh, well this goes someway to explaining it:

Euphenics has always been the work of several people.

Directly from a PM that is.

Ugh.

It'd be nice to be able to tell who one is talking to. I guess there really is no way to know that person A = person A every time, or whether person B is also person A or not. Unless you always talk to them on Skype or something, then you can recognize their voice.

Ok, maybe not Anthor. There's no way to not know it's him. Tongue

I'm pretty sure Euphenics is a group of highly intelligent somethings that enjoy confusing people.

Yeah, I too would really like an answer to this whole mystery someday.

Perhaps it's because we haven't avenged him yet?

I thought (the story was) that he committed suicide... might be rather hard to avenge him. I suppose we could kill -him- (in-game or, hypothetically, IRL, though he's supposedly dead IRL) and that would be "getting vengeance against his killer", but if you think about it since the point would be "avenging his death" it would be rather counter-productive.

Heh, well this goes someway to explaining it:

Euphenics has always been the work of several people.

Directly from a PM that is.

So... he's multiple people, one of them committed suicide, Janet Gray (believing that her husband or w/e was "the" Euphenics and not knowing about that) posted a topic reporting this, and then later (on some Halloween, I believe) another of the people came on and started posting with the Euphenics account? O...kay.

Human behaviour is not that complicated.
1. This - if you feel sorry for him.
2. This - if you think he is an idiot.
