In darkest hour, a spirit appears in the throne room in Wiksik. In a lilting voice it whispers the following in King Anthor's ear:

Nine men came, though full of haste,
Six men followed, they laid to waste,
Three men hanged, in darkest hour,
One man stands, atop Great Power.

As the spirit stops talking, a ring appears on King Anthor's finger. It is in the shape of a skull, and the eyes glow a green haunting color in the darkness.

As Anthor awakens more fully, the spirit says: Wear it wisely. There is much to overcome. As day becomes night, so night shall become day.

And with that, the spirit is gone.

Wine, Tigers, and Divine Right

You say “Jhonka, thank you for the skull. I will give it high placing in the great collection we have here. Who's skull was it?”
You say “Captain Jacobi. It must have been a long journey for you”
Jhonka says “It is the skull of the outsider devil who went by the name of Lucifer.”
Captain Jacobi says “Tell me about it Anthor but I have arrived. And that is what is important. I haven't been killed yet, thats a bonus. ”
You open the bottle and take a small sip of poison berry wine. It tastes so foul that you empty the whole bottle onto the floor. You gain 1 XP.
You smell the unmistakable aroma of poison berry wine. You gain 2 XP.
You open the bottle and take a small sip of poison berry wine. It tastes so foul that you empty the whole bottle onto the floor. You gain 1 XP.
You say “Well it seems we must prepare for a number of upcoming events.”
You say “The Battle at the Waterfall is only a week away, that which I totally forgot about. And Queen Monaliza's wedding is only two weeks away.”
Stonerkitten says “Greetings!”
Stonerkitten says “I was trying to gather fruit, but instead I got eaten by a tiger.”
You open the gourd and take a small sip of mango wine. It tastes so foul that you empty the whole gourd onto the floor. You gain 1 XP.
You smell the unmistakable aroma of banana beer. You gain 2 XP.
You smell the unmistakable aroma of poison berry wine. You gain 2 XP.
Super Bob says “Imma get some yeastweed. For booze.”
Captain Jacobi says “Lets be clear. I am a member of the court. I'm not just some random pirate that waltzed in here”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong steps inside, resting upon his skull-topped wand like a cane. "So, this is that Throne Room I've heard so much about."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong bows once to Anthor with a simple dip of his head.
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “A pleasure to be in here, your highness. Your rival, Kuru, drew me here with his ramblings.”
You say “StonerKitten, you must try to be more careful... you shouldn't let just anyone eat you. Tongue
You say “Madam Nico, I hear you have done well with collecting the firewood.”
You say “Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong, you are most welcome in the Royal Court. What does this Kuru say that brought you here? I notice that you're a member of the Kingdom of Skulls. I myself was leader of that...”
You say “Kingdom after the disappearance of Black Fang. As all things must come to an end though, I dissolved the Kingdom and remade it under the new Kingdom of Wiksik. My rival as you call him, revived the”
You say “Kingdom of Skulls.”
You say “I would like to know what he has to say. As all I have heard so far are jabs at my hope for peace in our time.”
You say “It may seem rather, egotistical but I have been given by Divine Right, the task of leading Wiksik into a new age. One where Outsider, Cannibal, Native and Pirate can live in peace and come together...”
You say “to be as one. This will not be an easy task considering how many want chaos over order, want death over life, and want destruction over creation. But it is a task that I will do until the end...”
You say “of my days. There is not greater crevasse to overcome than that of the darkness that will destroy us all if we give in to this continual violence against each other.”
You say “Join with me in praising our village, our Kingdom, our Island! For Wiksik, For the Kingdom of Wiksik, for Shartak! We will Overcome!!”
You say “What does this Kuru give you? Death, Destruction, Chaos. Bloodlust, Anger, Void.”
You say “I hope that you will renounce him, and all he stands for and join us in our pursuit of Peace, Trade, Justice for All.”
Anthor hears the voices of the crowd grow in tone, in volume, as the voices lift the roof with the power that is within
You say “For Wiksik! For the Kingdom! For Shartak! We WILL OVERCOME!”

A Tirade, and an Execution by the Necromancer's Guild

Stonerkitten  looks at Anthors hand.
Stonerkitten says “Oooh! Nice ring! ”
SillyLilyPily storms into the Throne Room looking pissed.
SillyLilyPily shoots fire from her eyes when she speaks and the ground is rumbling below your feet.
SillyLilyPily says “I”
SillyLilyPily says “come”
SillyLilyPily says “back”
SillyLilyPily says “to”
SillyLilyPily says “help ...”
SillyLilyPily says “THIS IS WHAT I GET???”
SillyLilyPily exhales loudly... And 'yes' those are licks of flames coming from her mouth.
SillyLilyPily glares at you.
SillyLilyPily says “I am leaving, because there, you can not hurt me ever again.”
SillyLilyPily says “no one.”
SillyLilyPily swings a ghastly jack o'lantern around.
SillyLilyPily takes her carved gourd and smashes it to the ground at the base of the throne.
SillyLilyPily says “cursed be the name Jacobi and his incarnates et alts.”
SillyLilyPily lets out a wail that gives pain to all living creatures within miles.
SillyLilyPily gives you a ghastly jack o'lantern.
SillyLilyPily says “my hunt is not for berries and juice for the King any longer.”
SillyLilyPily says “DO NOT speak my name unless you are looking to bed evil and horrific atrocities.”
SillyLilyPily says “my light is gone, I will become the dark, the night, the cold place you fear to tread.”
SillyLilyPily stands up tall, a tear steaming from her firey eyes.
SillyLilyPily says “farewell.”
SillyLilyPily gives you a skull.
AliceBeth says “Madam Nico, you have been accused by Guild Master Etherdrifter of the crime of excorcising a resident spirit of the Spirit Hut.”
AliceBeth says “He informs me that you have been warned before. Since you crime has persisted, the penalty is death.”
AliceBeth kills Madam Nico with a cutlass.
AliceBeth looks to Anthor, atop his throne. "I apologise for the disruption. It had to be done."
AliceBeth says “I address the spirit of Madam Nico. Feel free to drop by the Spirit Hut, we no longer bear a grudge. The matter is settled.”
AliceBeth says “Out of respect to Anthor, I leave Madam Nico her head.”
AliceBeth nods to the Tyrant and strides out the door.
The ghostly voice of Madam Nico says “Haha, oh well, I couldn't help myself! I exorsize spirits! I'd do it to myself if I had the chance!”

In Interesting Take on Things

Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong  would looks rather impassive as the King spoke with a passion brimstone could learn to emulate.
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong 's first response, however, would be the settling of both hands atop the skull on his cane. "You speak with great heart, King of Wiksik. There is a driving force behind your whim."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong would heft a totem, a small monkey's skull with the KOS brand that was dangling off of his garb. "This is more a sign of pilgrimage. I was drawn here not with promises, but from Kuru's stories."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong would rustle his herb-bag, bulging but not quite full. "I paid my respects to the Guild, acknowledged their customs, and even freely gave a score of herbs to one of their endeavors freely."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong would settle the bag back against his flank and ease his gaze up to the man upon the skull-mortared throne. "If glory was the prize in coming here, then I have no idea what brought me here."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong hefts his stick up slightly and brings it back down against the flooring of the throneroom with a sound of unexpected bass and volume. "You sound little different than a certain French Yorker!"
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “I am hearing more of your will, more of your ideals, and more of your birthright than I am hearing of anything else. Such things lead me to believe you are destined to have what you want-”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “-and you will mirror the fire in your words on this island!”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “Oh, but don't think YOU'RE so special in being the only beast in man-skin on this island.”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong would lift his cane up to wiggle the skull-crested end at the mighty monarch. "I did this little motion to old Kuru, too!"
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “With him, it was a matter of which end of the fork I wanted to be on!”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “With you, it's whether I'll be cooed to or yelled at!”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong sighs deeply, taking stock of his own breathing and calming himself from his tirade. "I see little difference in either of your methods when the results will be the same once both of your masks-"
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “-will be cast aside. And there, in the rubble of Kuru's gnashing teeth and your rantings, there will be far more dead and my herb-bag will be far lighter.”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong furrows his brows to the peaceful man sitting upon a throne of beheaded men. "Can you not see this?"
richardskull16 bows before King Anthor.

A Story is told, and an answer is given

Madam Nico says “Okay, so what was up with SillyLilyPilly?”
Captain Jacobi says “Seems like I did it... again”
Madam Nico says “Really Jacobi, your bringing girl drama into the Throne Room? ”
You say “It seems that SillyLilyPily may have had a little of the poison berry wine. I'm sure she will recover tomorrow.”
You say “Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong, you speak words of truth.”
Anthor looks down at the skulls surrounding him, the hundreds, if not thousands of skulls of the dead.
You say “I talk of peace. I talk of unity. I talk of bringing together the Outsiders and the Natives.”
You say “This I believe in. This I believe in so strongly that I am willing to die for my beliefs, over and over again.”
You say “But I see your truth, friend.”
You say “It is true that since I became King, and denounced violence, I have killed and been killed more than when I was violent.”
You say “It is a paradox. One who seeks peace, and harmony... is forced to fight for it, to die for it.”
You say “All that said... what would you have me do? Stand by and watch as each day more and more are killed? If I am to die anyway, is it not worth dying to fight for what I believe in?”
You say “Rather than dying for nothing.”
You say “It is as a great man once taught...”
You say “A man walked along the beach. He came upon another man, that man was throwing starfish back into the sea. One... by... one.”
You say “There were thousands, if not hundreds of thousands, or even millions of starfish.”
You say “The first man said to the second man... why are you bothering to throw that starfish back into the sea? In the scheme of things, it is meaningless. You can never hope to save all of them.”
You say “The second man said... it was not meaningless to that one that I just threw back. To it, it was everything... for he was saved. That one.”
You say “The man threw another starfish back... and that one... and that one.”
You say “It was worthwhile to that One.”
You say “There will be death. There will be many killed in time. But to those that are saved, even if it is that one.”
Anthor points at Stonerkitten
You say “Or that one.”
Anthor points at Madam Nico
You say “Or that one.”
Anthor points at richardskull
You say “Then it was worth it.”
Anthor looks pained, but his eyes are strong and clear.
You say “I will save the One.”

What is the relationship between the Kingdom of Wiksik, Kingdom of Skulls and The Necromancer's Guild. I realize at least two are non-cooperative, maybe hostile, but I've noticed a lot of mixed membership between the three when it comes to Primary and Secondary affiliation. I have had positive dealings with members of The Necromancer's Guild and Kingdom of Skulls. King Kuru saved my life at sea and directed me to Wiksik where I found only chaos, destruction and civil war. For words and glory, I bow to no man. Wiksik is unsettled and unsafe and I am better off seeking shelter in the wilderness among beasts, the jungle, my king. Are we throwing starfish into the ocean, or putting the skulls of our brethren on pikes? I do not see unity between outsiders and natives, when natives alone cannot even stand together on their own soil.

I am merely a nomadic killer looking for insight. Do not mistake me for friend or foe, as I follow my own twisted code of chivalry.

Respectfully,

The only reason wiksik was unstable is because of the cannibals.

Wiksik is as unstable as any town or village, excluding York, which is a chicken farm.

I am mostly curious as to whether or not the three groups I've mentioned are actively hostile towards one another or simply non-cooperative and clashing for power. Maybe both. I've taken an interest in the area and if I do stumble across an occasional kill, I'd like to know who I'm fighting.

Bobby, I will answer you shortly (OOC stuck away with work all day)

Ok, I'll try and answer OOC... and tomorrow when I have more brainz, I'll try and answer IC...

Kingdom of Wiksik is run by me.
Necromancer's Guild is run by Malcurio Etherdrifter
Kingdom of Skulls is run by King Kuru.

The Kingdom of Skulls was started by Black Fang, who then left the game, and I took over and ran the Kingdom for about a year... I disbanded the clan after many months of griefing by members of another group. After that, the Kingdom of Skulls was revived by King Kuru (Black Fang's Cannibal half brother) and I created the Kingdom of Wiksik. The Kingdom of Skulls made no move to reclaim the throne room in Wiksik until recently, which triggered a power struggle in Wiksik... currently ending up in a bounty for King Kuru's head, and King Kuru attempting to ramp up support for taking back the throne.

The Necromancer's Guild has been a long ally of both the Kingdom of Skulls and the Kingdom of Wiksik, and I am myself a member of the NG.

More tomorrow...

The Necromancers Guild is the oldest of the three, though it was only officially formed a few months before the original KOS it was in existence for a good while before that.  We're the caretakers of wiksik, the ones who make sure it remains habitable.  Healing in the spirit hut is guaranteed, we're also producing PBJ for newer players, mowing the lawn and making sure things remain generally peaceful by taking out PKers.

We're allied to both the KOS and the KOW.  Kings have come and gone, I've sat as leader of the necromancers through more monarchies and tyrants than I care to remember.  We're the oldest organised clan in wiksik left, well the oldest one dedicated to not butchering everyone we see.

Should it come to blows between the KOS and KOW we will be defending our own, that means any guild member killed will be avenged.  If one guild member slays another without ferry request or an execution order from a death knight, or myself, we will expel them.  We're currently preparing for the worst and will be butchering anyone who does mean us harm.

Hopefully Kuru and Anthor will get round a table, have a talk and sort something more interesting than rampant slaughter out.  Civil wars are messy.  Although, they do provide good corpses...  I wonder if I should start going around with my Dead Book again ^_^

An Question & A Surprise Visit from the Dead

Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong shakes his head. "In enforcing unity, you are willing yourself to be the next scourge of this isle, one
worse than York ever excreted. Cute lessons are hardly a distraction from that."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong says “Why do you compare starfish dying from an act of fate to thousands dying supporting your policy
or another? Is your whim manifest fate and destiny incarnate upon this isle?”
Keiichi dances into the hut and starts to sing. "I have seen Him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps,"
Keiichi says “They have builded Him an altar in the evening dews and damps;”
Keiichi says “ His day is marching on.”
Keiichi raises his cutlass in the air and shouts out, " Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory, hallelujah! Glory, glory,
hallelujah! His day is marching on!"

Starfish, Booze and New Friends

Stonerkitten likes starfish.
Super Bob says “Who wants a Yeastweed? I heard there was some sort ceremony soon earlier, I think.”
Captain Jacobi says “Hell, even my allies dislike me. Excuse me while I go do something rash”
Captain Jacobi says “Not as rash as I would have liked, the tiger was too easy.”
Stonerkitten says “I could use some yeastweed.”
Stonerkitten says “We are brewing wine and beer to present as a gift at Monalizas wedding.”
Stonerkitten says “Thank you, madam Nico!”
Stonerkitten says “I still have some juice, and I can trade for yeastweed.”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong scratches out what was carved on the wall.
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong carves something onto the wall.
Anthor is currently sleeping but will wake up later Tongue
Bobby the Hatchet says “Good evening. *bows cautiously as several snakes scatter from the folds of his clothing.* I am
simply resting in plain sight, lest I be counted among the invaders who hide in the outskirts.”
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong glances to Bobby. "So far, he's been rather hospitable, this Anthor. I will definitely compliment his
peacefulness in regards to pacifists."
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong would nod to him. "Regardless of my harsh words, he has listened rather than reacted with a blade.
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong leaves in search of a backpack in the trading post.
Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong throws his arms up in despair. "Alle'! My beard for a backpack in stock! It's not like I don't have
things to trade!"

Cheap Gifts & A Royal Response

You say “I would be more hospitable if I had some booze! So far it seems I've been able to brew one bottle of banana beer
and a couple of poison berry wines.”
Anthor grumbles under his breath something about too many poison berries
You say “I do seem to have a bunch of water though, so I shall hand some of that out.”
Emile Durkheim can't carry anything more.
You give a bottle of water to Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong .
You give a gourd of water to Madam Nico .
You give a gourd of water to happy trauma .
You give a gourd of water to Stonerkitten .
You give a gourd of water to Super Bob .
You give a gourd of water to Bobby the Hatchet .
You give a gourd of water to Captain Jacobi .
You say “I see some new faces since I fell asleep there. Welcome Emile, happy, Super Bob, and Bobby”
You say “Welcome back to my courtiers, Madam Nico and Captain Jacobi”
You say “And I must say, Stonerkitten is always by my side, my Royal Concubine. She brings the most happy dreams to this place.”
You say “I think this is the most we've had to visit in the Throne Room for a while. Everyone that is peaceful is welcome.”
You say “I must apologize for my tirades. I get angry when I hear of all the unnecessary killing... of course some is necessary, but it should be kept to a minimum.”
You say “I must address your points, Shama-Lama-Ding-Dong.”
You say “I'm unsure of where I'm enforcing unity. I'm enforcing peace. I'm enforcing the ability for anyone peaceful to be free to come into Wiksik and trade, and be safe to stay here.”
You say “Those that are violent and wish not for peace, they are more than welcome to go out and fight amongst themselves in the jungles... and get eaten by the tigers. ”
Anthor laughs heartily
You say “Of course, those that seek violence will likely try to stamp out those who seek peace. It is like the violent are drawn to the peaceful.”
You say “And that's where the dichotomy between what I desire, and what I will need to do to make that desire come to being.”
You say “York, you mention York and being a worse scourge. How can you equate me with the Evil that has come out of York these past years? The last lot squacked unity, while flaying the skins off of everyone”
You say “in every village on this island who saw through their camoflage of darkness. They murdered our women and children, and their unity consisted of enslavement, torture and slow painful death.”
You say “I cannot see how I, or the Kingdom of Wiksik could be in any way worse than that.”
