Vercingetorix, Lord of Dalpok!

OOC: I'm personally intrigued that it is "moanha" backwards. I have a good friend who has that nickname, for reasons best left unsaid. Suffice it to say, sharing a holiday house with him and his then girlfriend was not inducive of sleep.

Ahnaom slowly enters the citadel, eyes curiously darting around. "Greetings, Vercingetorix. It seems you have been serious in seizing the throne of the Dalpoki. Even if you have to make one yourself." (2010-06-29 04:46)
Ahnaom says “I must say, though, the constructions are already impressing me. And this place here might even envy some of the ancestors. Well done, fellow Dalpoki, well done.” (2010-06-29 04:48)
Ahnaom glances at Kikuya and smiles. You can not tell whether he blushed a bit or is it just reflections of the flames on a healer's face. (2010-06-29 04:49)

Ahnaom turns to Kikuya "Did you see our beautiful and wise Queen Monaliza? You should really come to Raktam one day. It is the most impressive and tranquil place on the other side of the Mountain." (2010-07-02 15:27)

Kikuya says “but I did smell something unusual on my way in here earlier.” (2010-07-02 15:46)
Ahnaom takes a glance through the window where jungle leaves still rustle in the royal perfume. "You should see our Queen, young geisha." He squints at Vercingetorix and chuckles silently. (2010-07-02 16:50)
Ahnaom continues "There is an interesting story about him and Raktami Queen." (2010-07-02 16:51)
Ahnaom falls silent for a moment looking at the eyes of the young artist. "You have to learn so many things... And I doubt you can find answers in these pirate-ridden corners of the island..." (2010-07-02 16:56)
Ahnaom turns to Junirn. "Mmm... could you show me that thing you have picked from the dead outsider?" (2010-07-02 16:57)

Junirn turns to Ahnaom " I got rid of it.. i had no use of it.. " (2010-07-03 12:25)

Vercingetorix shrugs. "So the Queen of Raktam visits, hm? I had thought that phoenix was heading in her direction. Guess not."

Citadel of Dalpok Crownlands

Ahnaom hols his palms over the fire "Each time my feet bring me to this place I see and learn peculiar things. You Dalpoki eat different things, sharpen your machetes from the other side."
You say “Some curious and intriguing, some hideous and repulsive. Yet, I think we can learn a lot from each other. If we would be willing to. People rarely are, though...”
You say “The time has come for me to return to Raktam. I thank you for the hospitality.”
You say “Before I leave...”
Ahnaom pulls out a small round thing wrapped in purple linen cloth. "This is a present for you, Kikuya." He carefully extends both hands and slowly puts it into the palms of young geisha.
You say “Very fragile, hold it with care...”
Ahnaom takes one last look into the deep dark eyes of Kikuya. Then turns to Vercingetorix. "Farewell."
You say “May the Dalpoki ancestors and elders share their widsom with you and guard this place from troubles. Time will tell if you are a worthy ruler, Lord Vercingetorix.”

You give an Easter egg to Kikuya .
You whisper to Kikuya , “(As you slowly unwrap the cloth an oddly decorated egg reveals itself.)”
You whisper to Kikuya , “(You are about to start examining foreign decorative patterns and hundreds of colour shades when suddenly a thin transparent layer dettaches itself from the surface of the shell)”
You whisper to Kikuya , “It feels warm in your palms. Thin yet fairly strong material feels somewhat unnatural to the touch. The transparent thing sticks to your skin when you play with it curiously.)”
You whisper to Kikuya , “(Suddenly you see a few letters emerge near the corner where you have been holding the thing with your fingertips. It looks like a mix of berry ink and something else, you can not really tell.)”
You whisper to Kikuya , “(Your fist crumples the weird thing and after a few moments more letters emerge. Crudely written Raktami characters are falling together in a hurriedly written letter...)”
You whisper to Kikuya , “<Young Geisha, I need to speak with you before leaving Dalpok. With you alone. Do not fear, I have no ill intents towards you or Lord Vercingetorix.>”
You whisper to Kikuya , “<It is very important you find a seed of courage and a drop of trust in me. Let us meet in the hut nearby. SW. Please, come. A.>”

Ahnaom makes a small bow before Vercingetorix and leaves.

Ahnaom frantically looks through the window before facing Kikuya "The time is running out." He approaches young geisha. "Your time."
Ahnaom getly touches the amulet with a sand drop trapped inside. "You are graceful and loyal. Finding beauty and purpose in serving others. I know, I can see."
You say “There is the Queen on the other side of the mountain. My Queen. The wise lady of all Raktami. Just as your lord, she watches over our village with a vigilant and gentle eye. ”
You say “Not so long ago she has married a distinguished shaman and completed the Court of Raktam with a rite of bounding. We are like one big family. And I am part of it. I serve them with all my heart.”
You say “And yet, yet... I can leave at any time. I am free to speak out my mind. The warriors walk proud and women are cheerful in my home.”
You say “I have travelled to many places. Raktam stands out in so many ways. It does not hold a smell of dried blood and death like Rakmogak.”
You say “People do not slaughter their own children for the throne, like in Wiksik. There are no pirates or lords who put young girls in cages, like wild beasts and then use them for their own amusement.”
You say “And yet. Yet we are free to come and go. That is the soul of Raktam, the aether of our life. And this, in my humble understanding, has brought us all the rest.”
You say “I am, however, still young. Mayhap there are things I have forgotten or did not notice in the first place. And I sure have a lot to learn. ”
You say “One thing is very clear though, you will find no such peace on the tired soil of Dalpok. The men here are cruel and brash. Your Lord has been enjoying constructing harems in the village.”
You say “He has been pulling young girls from their home to serve him in despicable ways. Vercingetorix also visited our village and treated the noble Queen, single and solitude at that time, like an animal. ”
You say “Oh, I do think he finds more respect for a tiger than for a little girl. He has paid dearly for that insult but blades do not change the nature of the man.”
You say “With a new throne being constructed I am sure you will have to endure all the horrors I have told now. Dalpoki need not the liberation from pirates, you are oppressed by your own hideous tyrannts. ”
You say “Your kimono patterns will fade out. The tranquil darkness of your gentle eyes will be flooded with pain. You will have to forget yourself, to abandon your soul and surrender your body.”
You say “And he, he will make you love it. You will embrace slavery as freedom, this filthy cage as your home. Kikuya, you are not the first. Nor the only one.”
You say “Time does not have to follow this path.”
You say “Leave with me now. Today.”
You say “You will lose every chain that holds you now and gain everything you lack today.”
You say “I posses no great kingdom, nor palace. I shall not give you orders nor demend obedience. I wish to see your music and dance flowing with free gusts of the wind. I want to see you cheerful and proud.”
You say “We will construct another Okiya for you. Or we could journey across the island bringing people your arts as precious gifts. ”
You say “I can lead you anywhere you want to be. I wish to make you a gift that is the most precious in nature. I want to set you free.”
Ahnaom extends his open palm "Will you leave with me today, young Kikuya?"

Kikuya  stands as still as a wall, in complete shock.
Kikuya uncharacteristically studders, " I, I dont' know what to say. This all comes as a surprise to me. I don't know how to answer you."
Kikuya lowers her head and stares at her feet.
Ahnaom smiles and puts a gentle kiss on Kikuya's forehead. "I will take this as a yes then. Gather your belongings, we are leaving Dalpok soon."
Kikuya says “but, but I can not.”
Kikuya says “I have taken the oath to serve My Lord.”
Kikuya says “even if my future is dark and full of pain, I can not go back on my word. My honor would be ruined.”
Kikuya holds back tears.

Vercingetorix strides into the hut, looking fierce.
Vercingetorix says “Ahnoum. What business do you have with my concubine?”
Kikuya looks as if she is shaking a bit.
Kikuya bows quickly to her Lord.
Kikuya says “I live to serve you and the Crownlands.”
Vercingetorix says “You are a guest in our village. A guest. I have not forgotten your scrutiny of my motivations when I courted your Queen. Your time here is at my discretion and pleasure.”
Kikuya says “Vercingetorix, My Lord, you are so strong. You are so adept that you can hear the slightest whisper within your realm.”
Vercingetorix frowns. "Eat of the mangoes. Fill your gourd with water. Take pleasure from the vista. But know where the line is in the sand.
Kikuya says “I live to serve you. My life is here. My heart is here. I am bound to your service.”
Kikuya bows again to Her Lord and stays low.
Vercingetorix says “Treachery has a certain rattle which even the most elderly can hear.”
Vercingetorix says “I will be raising this issue with your sovereign, Ahnaom. I think your time here in our village has come to an end.”
Kikuya says “I am but a humble concubine. To do my best is to live to my fullest potential as a respected servant to My Lord. His pleasure is my only and greatest reward.”
Kikuya stand back upright.
Vercingetorix says “Kikuya, please return to the Citadel. This Raktami seems to have picked up the habits of the outsiders in his travels. I would not have him chain you and drag you back to Raktam.”
Kikuya says “I will never stray from your side, Vercingetorix. I should be punished for leaving your hut. My shame will be my lesson. Your punishment is all I deserve. ”
Kikuya says “yes, Sir. Right away.”
Vercingetorix says “I do not know what is accepted practice in Raktam nowadays. Does the Royal Court condone this sort of behaviour?”
Kikuya quickly scurries back to the Citadel.
Vercingetorix says “When you return to Raktam, please ask your sovereign to send an envoy. We need to discuss this practice. ”
Vercingetorix snorts, turns, and walks out.

Citadel of Dalpok Crownlands
Ahnaom enters the citadel holding a concealed sword in his hand. He turns to Vercingetorix "It was rather rude of you to interrupt. Not that you Dalpoki know much about manners and honour."
You say “My business with Kikuya is my own and does not concern you in the slightest. I bring no ill intent to Dalpok and as such I will go where I please and talk to whom I please.”
You say “And yes, I will watch your every move. And every foul mistake you make. For rulers have to earn their respect. So far you are not doing very well, I must add.”
You say “And should you have any issues with my behaviour here, why don't you walk to Raktam by yourself?”
Ahnaom turns to Kikuya "There is no outh that can break the freedom or take away life. But everyone gets what she deserves. You can not say one thing though. That you have not been warned."

I saw it, it looks pretty cool.  I was also in it.  It is part of a double hut, if you didn't know.  The outside looks like a cave-entrance-like hut,m with spikes with skulls on the top of them outside on the ground.

Very happy with how it looks. A lot of effort went into those pirate heads!
