Welcome to the island ^_^

Amulets have varying effects, the wiki is mostly correct (according to our experiments) on what they do.  However I can say with absolute certainty that silver skull crosses have no ill effects whatsoever.  It was a coincidence during our first 200 tests.  When we did 1000 of each we found that they prevent possession roughly 50% of the time (90% with the faith skill) and do not effect wail damage in any way or form.

You better have waivers ready, Swarm. Rakmogak tends to be quite dangerous for tourists.
Here's a sample waiver for you.

Quote
I, __________, release Swarming Tours Inc. from any and all liabilities that may arise from me suffering any of the following:
1. Losing any number of limbs to dangerous wildlife and locals (Rakmogaki).
2. Losing my head to dangerous wildlife and locals.
3. Losing my flesh to dangerous wildlife and locals.
4. Being maimed to any degree by dangerous wildlife and locals.
5. Being maimed to any degree by outsiders.
6. Being maimed to any degree by natives from the mainland.
7. Being possessed or frightened by malevolent or humorous spirits.

I understand that the waiver is not limited to the above conditions. To conclude, I simply release all claims to safety when participating on this tour, and will not hold the company responsible for anything that happens.

My first experience of the mainland (I think, no exploration Roll Eyes ) was of open plains with an abundance of wildlife, managed to  bag my self a rhino Cheesy  but my time on those plains was short as a cannibal by the name of Exterminator894 stumbled across me sleeping after a good days hunt and set about tenderizing me with a wooden club ready for the eating

As I floated above the disturbing scene below me, my thoughts turned to getting back in to a body, on the swim over I was constantly being harassed by sharks so i made the decision to contact the remote shaman

Good times  Grin

Trenchcoater is a term from Urban Dead. It is used to ridicule people who shoot first, think later and are generally acting like "badasses". Not sure how that aplies to Shartak

Race to set up an alt called "Rambo Trenchcoater".

There is a tunnel entrance in the far north-east which is usually occupied by fungi farmers. No ruins otherwise.

You have three options to get to the mainland:

a. swim. Beware of sharks so take lots of healing herbs;
b. go via tunnel, but be at risk of murder because there is nowhere to hide in the tunnels;
c. die and catch a lift with a roaming shaman. There is almost always a roaming shaman in the big swamp south of Skull Island so its easy to navigate from there.

where does tunnel to the mainland start? is it tunnel in the NE(Pierced Eye Cave?) you mentioned, or it is Jawbone Cave ?

EDIT: oh, never mind, i just found that these two caves are connected by tunnel, which leads to mainland.

For the fastest, most straight-forward trip to the mainland, I recommend heading east at the first tunnel fork you reach as you head south. A short walk east and you'll exit at the Burning Fields Cave and be on the mainland. Heading west at the fork will get you to the Tiger Cave, but there are further forks, so you could get lost without a map.

Grunk the Pale is discouraging lazy outsider pirates from attacking his brethren.

They love to hide in the same spot of the lake.
