The ancient scriptures, found at the highest Temple are being deciphered. They speak of a Golden Age in Shartak. It has begun.

Even in Times of Rest, we can not forget our past

We take a break from the hustle and bustle that greets our days with a trip to the Royal Court Bathhouse.

Ahnaom tosses a gold coin into the air and catches it. The coin shows tails.

You say “welcome back Ahnaom and Stonerkitten. Feel free to enjoy one of the many baths.”
You say “each tub is infused with a different essence, for total relaxation and bliss inspiring daydreams.”

Stonerkitten says “Thank you, your majesty!”
Stonerkitten is pretty well infused with blissful daydreams already.
Stonerkitten always enjoys sampling a few more anyway.

Ahnaom says “Thank you, my Queen. It will be nice to rest here before visiting Santa spirit”
Ahnaom pours some mixed fruit juice near the fire. The colourful aroma quickly fills Royal Bath.

Cobalt Manticore says “He's a Shartak Unificator, Queen. Reason enough to slaughter him on the spot.”
Cobalt Manticore says “Though oddly he himself stands relatively clean amongst his bloodier kin,.”
Cobalt Manticore says “Still, he who joins a cause endorses a cause and for every cause there is an effect.”
Cobalt Manticore says “I would make an example of this one for his clan has long bedeviled Raktam.”
Cobalt Manticore says “What!”
Cobalt Manticore looks warily around the room, someone healed the Unificator?!

Ahnaom says “He has been here for a couple of days and nobody declared anything against him. Why would you spill his blood out of the sudden?”

Cobalt Manticore says “Shartak Unification Front has long been the enemy of peace. They've slaughtered our kind here since I cuold remember.”

Ahnaom says “This one here seems to be peaceful, at least let him say a word”

Cobalt Manticore says “Grrr...,”
Cobalt Manticore says “Grrr...,”
Cobalt Manticore says “They rarely Talk but to gloat over our fallen dead corpses. But very well, wouldn't be the first time we've succored and lapped at the bootheels of our oppressors. I pray he's as merciful as you are..”

Cobalt Manticore says “His brethren wouldn't show nearly as much grace in turn, but these lessons must needs be selftaught. Good luck.”

Ira Wiefel says “Well, err... you got blood all over my prepared speech, so forgive my stumbling.”

Ahnaom says “I have but one question. The two of you have been here for some days, why now?”

Ira Wiefel says “It's true the unificationers want to purge the island of native influence, but I seek to do so by gently introducing natives to civilization, and not by striking them down as you suggest. ”

Ahnaom says “What will you say, outsider?”
Ahnaom says “What is this civilization that you speak of?”

Ira Wiefel says “Unless you advocate unrefined, savage behaviours such as attacking sleeping me's, our interests are mutual.”

Ahnaom says “You bear the mark of the enemy, you can not expect to be treated well here. Think of me as an exception to the rule, for I live with the words and the herbs rather than sword”
Ahnaom says “And I ask again what is it that you try to acomlish? What is this civilization?”

Ira Wiefel says “Civilzation is when you constrain the queen (or king) to act within a written constitution, so that they may serve as a patriotic symbol while elected officials get things done.”
Ira Wiefel says “The officials give a single voice to the many voices of the population.”
Ira Wiefel says “Mark of the enemy? You are welcome to join as are all; though, you are already a member, as are all on this island.”

monaliza raises her toro out from above the edge of the bubble line.

Ahnaom scratches out what was carved on the wall.
Ahnaom carves something onto the wall.
Ahnaom says “Oops”

You say “living in the past is not the model of gleaming kingdom, who is eager to exist longer than themselves.”

Ahnaom says “Apologies for this incident..”

monaliza giggles and directs one of her attendants to repair the writing.
You scratch out what was carved there before.
You carve Eight, large ivory marble tubs are in an oval around a central black marble, raised tub. Mist and steam hover in the air creating a translucent, sweet mango scented cloud throughout the hut. onto the wall.

Ahnaom says “Thank you, my Queen”
monaliza flops onto her back in a sea of bubbles, you can hear her speak, but she remains unseen.

You say “you are welcome, Ahnaom.”
You say “if we harbor the pains of our past, how can we enjoy our future?”
You say “I judge each individual on their actions, not on their looks.”
You say “if we re-condemn every person for mistakes over and over, how shall we ever advance?”
monaliza sits up with a pile of bubbles atop her head.
You say “do not misunderstand me, I will fight, we all will to preserve our independence.”
You say “but one single man, does not cause me grief. At least, not this, single man.”
You say “now, who has the coconut extract? I would like a back and shoulder massage.”

Ahnaom says “Ira Wiefel, you know so little and you have learned even less”
Ahnaom says “You wear clothes of cotton and we wear leaves and linen. Yet you call us savages.”
Ahnaom says “You make rifles and we make poison darts. Yet, it is we who are barbaric and violent.”
Ahnaom says “You bow before cross and we respect the spirits. Yet you think only you know the truth.”
Ahnaom says “This cililization, that you want to bring.. it is all here. You do not want to open your eyes, but the truth is so close”
Ahnaom says “We are not different, yet not the same. But know this, there are many plants and many animals. You can not count them all. One species devouring all the others, this would be the doom to all creation.”
Ahnaom says “Yet you insist on making the world in your own image, you travel great lengths to enslave, to kill, to plunder our towns and temples. You think you are better and you know better. You do not.”
Ahnaom says “Have you not heard our tales about skies and mountains and misty dungeons? Have you not tasted our delicious food, have you not spoken with our wise Queen?”
Ahnaom says “Yet you think this is all of no importance because we are different. You insist that pine trees belong to jungle more than palm trees, mangos and tasty and poisonous berries?”
Ahnaom says “You think that you can change the nature, change the man, change the world, do not you?”
Ahnaom says “Listen to what our shaman has said about this and listen well...”
Ahnaom says “You will raise the mind above the heart. You will construct big machines of steal and coal. You will populate this world in great numbers and make many comfortable things.”
Ahnaom says “Yet you will forget who you are. You will destroy many living things without even seeing them. You will cause great waves of heat that will tear down this world and make everybody suffer. ”
Ahnaom says “And even in the face of the disaster you will deny that it was you, foolish *you* who have caused all this. You will refuse to change and to open your heart.”
Ahnaom says “You do not know what a civilisation is, you have forgotten it. By bringing these void memories, you carry only emptiness and destruction with you. You want to tear down our world and offer nothing ”
Ahnaom says “in return. Your mind is sharp, yet your heart is blind and weak. I have saved you life today but I doubt anything will change. ”
Ahnaom says “Remember that you can not name all the colours of the sky. Only children and fools call it blue.”
Ahnaom looks at Monaliza. He seems slightly embarrased, you can see how the cheeks are turning red...
Ahnaom says “I.. um.. eh, not that good at massage (he scratches the back of the head) maybe some other could..”

Auira Red-Hawk nonchalantly massages the Queen, absentmindedly listening to the impassioned speech.

We have digested the things that have come before. As the fruit of the Great Ancestors is in bloom once again, we can see down the road less traveled. Our Faith and pride in our Great Kingdom is unabated and we are eager to share it.

Heh. Look what I found 20 paces out west:

Quote
Hardly any vegetation is here. There are a few small plants sprouting from the soil but you'd find it hard to get rid of them. You see a tall mound of moss-covered skulls and rusting cutlasses. Decayed and rotting leather together with bleached human bones are scattered around the area. A strong stench of rum exudes from the surrounding foliage.

There is a hole here.

Stuck in the ground is a makeshift sign. It reads “Here, Azuma of the Dalpoki won the day for Greater Raktam, to the glory of Blue Hummingbird, Queen”.

Justice Hart of York - leader of the Order of Patriots
FirstAmongstDaves - pirate and class act
