'Native' has many meaningsOld One slithers into the room on powerful locomotive tentacles. Five eyes swivel on separate stalks to survey the room. Two of the eyes focus on the outsider. Multiple wings flap in agitation.
Old One releases noxious vapours from multiple ventral openings. A frond-like tentacle extends to prod the outsider.
Old One says “Another tentacle appears, collects mucous from an orifice and then rubs the slime on the outsider. From a fold in the barrel body another tentacle takes out rags of something varicoloured.”
Old One checks the outsider against the samples of skin. An appropriate colour match is found and the swatches disappear. Old One leaves as quickly as he arrived.
Running Raptor Burst out through a hole in the floor boards.

monaliza walks up the few shallow steps and turns to face the crowd. Her face is expressionless a sharp contrast to her layers of brightly coloured fabrics draped over her.
monaliza scans the room, still expressionless.
monaliza raises her hand and points to the 'newest' outsider from York to enter her domain.

monaliza nods to her attendant as he leaves her with a small scroll. After reading the page, she rolls it back up again and taps it into the palm of her left hand.
