Interesting.
I wonder what new developments we get to witness.

Also I wonder if there are going to be several admins, and not just Simon.

Yay!

That is really good news - thanx to you, and your wife

I haven't been active on the forum for ages, but I have continued to check up on my characters - you get addicted to this ol' thing.

What does it all mean?

It means (and correct me if I'm wrong)... that the current version of Shartak will continue "as is" until the new (2.0) version of Shartak is ready... at that point the Database from August 9th will be imported into the new version of Shartak. Anything done in Shartak, new characters, additional kills / additions to any of your stats, between August 9th and the date that the new Shartak goes live will be lost... anything prior to August 9th will be kept...

When the new version goes live, you'll be able to continue with your character from where it was August 9th... or start a new character.

So, between now and then you can go nuts and do all the fun stuff that you wouldn't normally do with your character...

Example... today I killed SkullFace, who I have taken part in head hunt competitions with and my character normally would consider a friend and ally... I wouldn't have killed him normally, but today I did and it was a lot of fun! He'll likely come kick my , but it was worth it! Tongue

And yesterday I had a real-time fights with Iwashere and Stiltskin!

Yeah, so it's like fan fiction or something, which will be debunked when a different reality occurs.

That's why I disabled my automatic underworld registry, and why I suggest that everyone else do the same. In fact Simon should just disable the whole automatic feature until 2.0 is launched... nothing that happens now actually happened, and also, we could potentially wind up with people having more deaths/kills on the underworld than their total in-game, which would be just weird.

Also I wonder if there are going to be several admins, and not just Simon.

That sounds like it could help a lot. Alternatively, I liked that idea of allowing players to develop stuff if they really wanted it implemented that badly, and give Simon the code ready for him to C&P into the game, and all he'd have to do is approve or deny it.

Hey Simon, I've got a great idea. How 'bout you implement fireballs for shaman, (Wulla-mullung specifically), then I can moderate all of Shartak! I can kill all of those dissenters, hooligans and what not, and can even become a little corrupt to keep things interesting.  Wink

See, it's a great idea.

Seriously though, fireballs.

Yeah. please?

This is a valid point - the auto-logging has been disabled as of this morning - if you still require this feature, there's a greasemonkey script for Firefox users.
