I sit on this rock, sharpening my blades, and with trepidation I await this shaman's words.  I know, once the nightfalls again, I will have a target.

And that in itself worries me.  Can I kill someone without reason too?  What if my target is someone I know as a friend?

I know what I would do at that point.  But can I go through with it?

Tather's Hut
Ash 's frame would blot out all but the barest twinkling of sunlight from the doorway, prompting all eyes to regard him. "Greetings..."
Ash stoops as he enters, and one heavy footfall later he returns to his towering height, dwarfing those already gathered. Nodding to A'din, licking his lips to the outsider, he then turned to Neil.
Ash bowed, his hands covering his maw as he regarded the owner of the hut. "It has been a long time, Mindful One. I have heard of much turmoil from these lands," he says, standing back up with a tsk.
Ash says “I once thought Raktam to be of unshakeable stone, stern and resilient against all odds and foes. Tell me, then, how it is I walk into Raktam, only to find it shaken to its core.”
Ash 's feral gaze darts over to A'din. "You as well, I would like to hear from. Soldier of Raktam, what say you on the matters that twine us all this day?" A harumph would do for the outsider.
Ash says “And you, paleface, I hope there is a reason why you are here that overrules how well you taste with a side of flamecharred mango.”
Ash gains 10 health from a healing herb
A'din Dkari nods to the cannibal, "These are indeed dark times. I am still quite confused as to what all has and is occurring..."
A'din Dkari says “We start out with just Wall E and his trouble, then these others stroll in...I even find one of my former guardsmen among them... But the best of my warriors has reappeared, which gives me some hope.”
A'din Dkari says “What worries me is without the Queen among the concious, Raktam suffers greatly. The King is a fine warrior, I could even learn much from him, but the politics never seemed to interest him...”
A'din Dkari says “What disturbs and confuses me more is the reemergence of the former Queen, Blue Hummingbird. Something seems unsettling about the timing of it all...but I can't say what exactly”
You say “Why would you refer to me as Mindful One Ash? What am I mindful of exactly?”
Pelleas says “I'm just here to help out in any way I can. I'd like to try and foster better relations between outsiders and natives if possible, and the people of Raktam are quite a friendly bunch.”
Ash 's lips split into a glittering display of ivory fangs. "I have heard tales that note such a thing, but here I see one that sides not with any of three camps."
Ash 's smile steepens as he continues. "You do not embrace the crown, old or new, yet you do not carry the torch of the anarchist. I find you rather mindful of your own standing..."
Ash says “So that those around you, close to you, do not fall. I shall enjoy getting to know you, Brother Tathers, Once Vizier, Mindful One.”
Ash says “To A'din, such a story I have heard, and to hear it from one that defends against all comers as such I am saddened that it is true.”
Ash says “When the call for WickSick Island's defense rang out, it was the people of Raktam, not the royalty, that answered the call. For that, I shall stand with likeminded warriors.”
Ash says “Mayhaps sanity shall reign again one day. Should it not, let no man be able to hear his own insane thoughts for the din we throw and the howls we make.”
Ash says “To both Mindful One and Brazen Shield, I give you a slivver of Rakmogak's essence. In the darkest depths of Rakmo Isle's lakes, there remains the scars from its rending from the mainland.”
Ash says “These scars, deep fissures, coax the strongest swimmers ever-deeper with the glitter and warmth of Knygathin Zhaum's still-beating, thrice-damned heart. Take these gems, shards of fury incarnate...”
Ash gives you a gem.
Ash places a gem in each of their hands, a shining stone of jagged, crimson stone tha was blood-hot to the touch. "And use them as you see fit. Funnel your anger into it and away from yourself."
Ash says “Such is the way that Knygathin Zhaum will forever feast. It shall calm even the most maddened of berserkers if such is willed.”
Ash says “But should you need a throbbing, thriving rage then beware! Your very being shall become a machination of torment, and you may awaken with your body torn asunder or forever changed.”
Ash says “Willpower is needed. A strong heart is key. A steady hand is vital. A purpose is paramount. So tell me then, with all this in mind...”
Ash says “In Raktam, my Brothers, what do we fight for?”
The Narrator kills Pelleas with a knife.
The Narrator stares down the corpse of the Derby resident. "You best think again before crossing my path, worthless outsider. You're in over your head. Flee back to Derby while I'm still in a good mood."

Trading Hut

You say “Again Narrator? Once more with your narrow minded thoughts? How many times will it take for you to understand that your ideas aren't wanted to me. And killing a friend of mine in my own hut. Did you expect me not to seek you out?”
You fire at The Narrator with a blowpipe for 4 damage. They die.
Underworld log successful .
You say “See you tomorrow I guess, as this futile game continues. Violence never solves anything, though with your types, murdering their own, it seems to be the only language they understand.”
You say “Which is quite pathetic.”
You say “In the scheme of all things.”

Tather's Hut

You say “Took care of that narrowminded fool, though he will be here tomorrow most likely.”
You say “I plan to talk to Raktam through words.”
