Highly unoriginal...
Was there already a King of York's War? More like this contest is a carbon copy of Native Awareness Month, only with different bonus points. Ah, I get you now. But wasn't Native Awareness Month a pretty much just a carbon copy of The Cleansing of Gra'Kalmogal?

You should look at the scoring methods before you say something stupid, "mon ami".

I'm thinking of joining. I'll obviously wind up repeatedly searching for ammo in Raktam or just randomly find myself unable to get on the computer at the beginning and at any critical points that show up and will fail miserably, but I might as well try- it's nice to kill other players once in awhile. Oh yeah, profile in sig.
Also, with the points- should there maybe be some disincentive for killing Yorkers who are supporting the revolution? I'd suggest perhaps 1-2 clans that people can join (by invite, or maybe just banning anyone obviously joining for protection) and not be worth points... this seems to be getting even closer to Native awareness month, though.

I have, they are virtually the same with merely cosmetic differences, also Neil's is more complex and sophisticated. De La Coiffe's contest is as different from Neil's contest as Coke is from Pepsi. EDIT: And I should add, I am not criticizing De La Coiffe for creating a contest that is virtually the same as Neil's. There are only just so many choices we have in this game. You, though, should be more generous to people. There is no need to simply resort to trolling whenever you see a possibility. FAD is trying to add something to the game. Why troll FAD for that?

Which makes The King of York's War to NAM what ketchup is to... mustard? This contest uses an inverse scoring guide of NAM, primarily focused on Yorkers, while NAM uses a "dumbed-down" scoring guide inspired by cannibal contests, which make them less refined, but easily accessible for casual players who don't enjoy screenshotting every kill. The cannibal contests are directly inspired by Wicksick contests of old.
I'm sure we can all agree that in some way all contests on Shartak are inspired by their predecessors (King's War is an anti-York's version of NAM, NAM is a rudimentary, universal version of the cannibal raids, which in turn are complex and in-depth editions of Wicksick contests; it's merely a natural evolution and appeals to the tastes of different players. By the way, I prefer Coke.

I see DLC a bigger plagiarist than FAD, since NAM was made mostly out of spite and has no storyline significance. I would enter, but this contest is extremely biased against Yorkers.

Me too, Pepsi, has that chalky aftertaste. I should have picked a better analogy like Gary Coleman and Webster.

Magellan - Yes, the contest is very biased against Yorkers. Pirates have had a very long history of invading York. This is merely the revival of an old tradition, but with prizes and an open invitation to natives and cannibals to also participate. Highly unoriginal...
Was there already a King of York's War? More like this contest is a carbon copy of Native Awareness Month, only with different bonus points. Quite so. I gave due credit to DLC for the format of the contest. I am a participant in the NAM and am enjoying it.

Suffer not the traitors to live!
York shall prosper!
See what you have done Keiichi, the Pirates will over-run York and throw you away and proclaim York as their own.
The Anarchists must die!

Nope. Pirates are among friends. And the very fact that FAD is running this contest when I still owe him like, 600 gold or something shows something.

They will betray you.
Today the authorities found and executed the second in command Magellan for his part in the rebellion.
Notorious upgrade PKer-turned-vigilante Stan667 has already despatched the leader Keiichi several times.
