Yeah, but the hut format rules only allow a max of 2 per settlement.

Way to take the initiative Daves!

That's right folks, we are back and this time our government will not be plagued by the sexual indiscretions and corruption that marked our last government. Anyone who joins the clan gets full voting rights in all Parliamentary decisions, anyone who wants voting rights in Parliament, but does not wish to join the clan, may purchase voting rights for 50 GC, you will then have a lifetime seat in Parliament! People are always complaining about not having anything to spend their money on, well, here is a meaningful expenditure that the whole family can enjoy!

We have a number of Cabinet positions left to fill. Have you ever wanted to be the Minister of Culture? Contact us, we can make that happen. Have you ever wanted to role play life at 10 Downing Street? We want to do that too! Do you love watching re-runs of Yes Minister? That's our favorite British Sitcom as well!

So contact Black Jack Pershing or myself in game (or Daves and myself on the forum) and lets get role playing British politics, 18th century style!

@Yodas Minion: We would love to have the caravan come through! Please bring heavy swords (I know that won't happen but it never hurts to ask) and pumpkins! Lots of pumpkins! We don't want to have to rely on shamans to ward off spirits.

@Neil Tathers: Daves isn't just insane, he's crazy!

The Society of New Haven welcomes the returning Peninsular Federation, and if you look really hard, you can see us flailing and giving you thumbs-up from afar.

It's rough and boring out there for outsiders nowdays.  You have a friend in us, even if we are across the isle.  Good luck to you!  Do pay us a visit if every the whim befalls you.

Thanks for the welcome back! Hopefully the people of Derby and New Haven will be able to work together in the near future. We shall send a diplomatic as soon as we have found a Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Kingdom of Wiksik sends regards to the Peninsula Federation. We should talk about joint ventures, trade, and joint military operations.  Grin

New Haven could join the Peninsula Federation. I don't see why you need to be on the eastern coast to do that. The Holy Roman Empire wasn't even in Rome for most of its later history.

Are the cannon and flags too much?

I can say with certainty that New Haven would not be willing to fall into the Peninsula Federation.  Diplomacy between outsider settlements, though, is something more akin to us.  If we find ourselves working well together, we'll see about a different, even further up umbrella name for us both.

Either way, two Peninsular and outsider heavy clans is just fine and dandy.  Let's look out for one another when we can.

Just make sure any diplomats you send are wearing a powdered wig and have a painted-on mole. We wouldn't want to confuse them with the enemy.

@My dear Monsieur Minion, if you can bring us heavy swords then Derby will shower you with gold! A golden shower for the caravan! Mon Dieu!

@Anthor: The people of Derby accept the glad tidings of Wiksik with joy! You shall also receive a diplomat once the Cabinet is in order.

@Daves: That tower totally kicks !!!!1 The symmetry of the flags and canons is perfect and symbolically is a testament to the responsible government of the Peninsular Federation. I love it!

I've seen Daves zip out of his James Barnes costume. Is it still at the dry cleaners?

70 will probably be overkill. If you have already collected that many then I will buy them since I don't want to screw you over, but I'd be looking for more like 20 or so.

Cool, are you the Gunnery Sergeant? Would you like a cabinet position? Daves, what portfolio would you like? We should start seeing who would like which portfolios, in case people haven't looked at the wiki these are them:

Minister of the Interior
Minister of Defence
Minister of Foreign Affairs
Minister of Culture
Minister of Public Works
Minister of Justice

Last time we had 2 sub-Ministers for Foreign Affairs, one for outsiders and one for natives, but last time native-outsider relations were much more antagonistic than now so I think this time we will shoot for having one Minister for Foreign Affairs who will be the diplomat for both groups.

The main idea is that each person will focus on their area so that way no one person is over burdened with work. Parliament is there to keep everybody honest, so if those of us in the Government become unpopular then Parliament can vote us out (and since we are all civilized and European we as the Government would abide by the results).

Then why would anyone ever buy a seat?
